Hands down, the best pizza on Lake Avenue AND in Colonia in general
! Max does an amazing job, treats people right, and delivers the best pizza faster than the competition, always honoring both on-​line and Colonia Corner newspaper coupons. Ciro’s just can’t be beat.

One of my favorite pizzerias and I can never get enough! I don’t live near it so unfortunately I can’t relish in its cheesy goodness as much as I’d like to. However, I was just recently surprised with some and needless to say, it was one of the best days in a very long time. All their pizzas are equally delicious and their garlic bread/​knots are yummy, too! Grab this the next time you’re in the mood for pizza — you won’t be disappointed!

I often wake up in a hot sweat dreaming about this pizza. Best in the area. That crust is perfect. Toppings are fresh. Service is friendly. Plenty of tables to eat in. When you’re done, you can go shoot hoops with Gary next door.

The margarita pizza is great all the way down to the toasty crust. Can’t say that about most pizza joints. I thought it was a little pricey at first but considering how often I catch myself chucking out boring crust, a tasty crust is that much more appreciated. It’s a wholesome, simple type of goodness. The hot wings were cooked just right though a tad too salty for my taste. And you should support your local businesses.

Just so so pizza
Went here today for the first time after reading reviews. Since I was close by I have them a try. The sauce lacked flavor on my plain slice, hence the name. I wouldn’t go back. Nice employees but I’m a pizza snob so it’s got to be second visit worthy and this was not.

Great food and people that actually seem to appreciate your business, a rarity among pizza places in the Colonia area. We have been to all the area pizza restaurants over the years and this is our favorite.

I ordered delivery today and I have to say they came within the time they gave me which was about 30 – 45 mins. I had a margherita pizza with some wings. Everything was delicious. The crust was the right mix between crispy and bread. The sauce was flavorful and overall I was happy I made this choice. The wings were also just right, crispy and cooked properly, they weren’t super spicy and the quantity was decent. I will order from them again happily.

I love this place. I don’t get here as often as I like, but the food is so good. I love the mussels marinara. I think Max’ s marinara is better than mine! Last week I got them over pasta, must have been ½ lb spaghetti. The mussels are big and no sand. We love the pizza and sandwiches too. Another time I got a pizza and sausage roll. My Son is a regular customer at Ciro’s. The staff seems to be very friendly.

Have been there a couple times. Food has been good, however, customer service experience is not always great, depending who answers the phone. The last person we got, was nasty and short tempered. If you’re willing to deal with that, good is good.

I LOVE Ciro’s! I pick up lunch here just about on a weekly basis. From the antipasto to the subs to the pizza to the pasta dishes everything is tasty and well priced. I can’t say it’s the absolute best pizza place I’ve ever been to but it’s surely one of the best in the area. The owner and staff are all friendly and accommodating also. It’s a small place so it’s best to get your food to go.

I found it funny that this place was in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. It was your standard pizza joint.
Very bare bones place, didn’t seem to be air conditioning. Clientele is suburban Italian, and proprietor is too.
The slice didn’t taste very different from the dozens of other standard places in Central Jersey. White flour crust, pizza sauce, industrial cheese, gas-​fired oven. I liked the Grandma’s slice a little better. Thinner crust, marinara sauce instead of the industrial pizza sauce.
