Wonderful food. Service was slow but we were warned that they were backed up upon being seated. Will absolutely come here to try some more dishes in the future.

Really nice little place to eat. The greek pizza and the steak sub are very good. As well as the greek combo platter. Stuffed grape leaves are good, but are of an acquired taste. Good wine selection. Honey greek yogurt is delicious. Clean bathrooms and all over clean restaurant. Nice owner and servers. Thumbs up

This is a nice little Greek place in colonial heights. We ordered two gyros a Greek and a lamb gyro along with a couple of appetizers. Both gyros were satisfactory although the pita wasn’t quite as soft as I’d of liked. I enjoyed the lamb gyro a bit more because they used chunked lamb vs. processed meat. The hummus was really nice. The portion was kind of light and the pita it was served with tasted old. All and all I’d recommend this place for a local Greek place. Just isn’t the best I’ve ever tasted.

Came in around 7pm and there was only one table that was already finishing up. Service was quick and friendly. Waitress had no problems explaining the menu items I had questions about. Ordered the Melitzanosolata, Lamb Gyro and Baklava. The melitzanosolata was pretty good, the best part was the pita. Not the usual thick and dense pita you can buy at the store. It was thin, yet fluffy and was perfect. The Lamb gyro was cooked to order and cooked perfectly. The roasted potatoes that came with it were also cooked and seasoned perfectly. Had the baklava for dessert and came out hot and crispy. Overall, great service and great Greek food close to Fort Lee.

Some very good Greek food… definitely better than the other places I’ve been to, even in Richmond. The place is small and the location perhaps isn’t the best but, the food that comes out of their kitchen… pretty darn good. I’ve never been to Greece nor are any of my friends Greek so I can’t really comment on how authentic or not the food tastes. All I know is that the food tastes really good. My husband and I started out with the Melitzanosalata. This is an eggplant based dip served with warm pita bread. Oh my… this was tasty. You can taste the eggplant but it’s not the main taste — garlic, lemon, and tahini are the prominent flavors on your palate. The pita was warm and didn’t overpower the dip at all. The husband ordered the lamb gyro and I had the Spanakopita. One of the best things is that when he ordered the gyro, the waitress actually asked him how he wanted his lamb cooked! Usually when you ask for a lamb gyro, they shave off strips of lamb for the gyro. Not here. They use chunks that are cooked to order. And it absolutely makes a difference. Great taste, wonderful texture, and very juicy. The Spanakopita’s were equally good. Crispy, light filo wrapped around a delectable combination of feta cheese and spinach. And, I really enjoyed that they did not use a lot of feta cheese. It usually overpowers the dish because there’s just too much in the mixture, but they nailed it. We will definitely be coming back again and bringing people. The prices are fair and the food is excellent. Pro tip: they have an interesting«dish» called Meza. Basically you order 4 appetizers and 4 main dishes and pay $ 15-ish a person and you get to sample everything! Way too much food for two people, but I think if you have a table of like 6 – 8, it would be a good family style dinner.

Very pleasant and attentive staff. Open airy floor plan. I ate here twice for lunch in the past three weeks. The food was very good, albeit not super-exceptional. The moussaka had just the right flavouring, the top was light and the bottom substantial. The dolmas were tender. My companion had fries with her gyro that were some of the best she’d had, and she considers herself a fries aficionado. We both enjoyed the cucumber-yoghurt tzatzki with pita bread(but that is a dish that is hard to go wrong with). The excellent seafood soup was not comparable to a bouillabaisse or a Dalmatian brodetto, but was more reminiscent of a(non-chile) Mayan seafood soup: nicely flavoured, broth with recognizable constituents, no overbearing spices to hide any defects. The pastkhio was quite good, but not outstanding. I did not try the baklava or other deserts as I was quite full. Certainly I intend to come back here when I’m on the east coast.

Where do I start… Service was horrible. We ordered Sirloin Kabob and a Mixed Kabob. We ended up getting the mixed kabob and sirloin steak brought out to us. Appetizers came we had to ask for plates. Rice was bland. Steak was like chewing on shoe leather and very over cooked. Fries were cold. The whole meal was bleh and when we told waitress about steak she just said sorry and walked away. I will never eat there again that’s for sure.

Decent food and good portions, however the service is very slow. I went on a Friday night and there was only one waitress on duty. Will go back but for takeout only…

Very disappointed in the Greek pastries here, especially the Baklava. I ordered the sampler of several different pastries, the waitress/cashier working wasn’t knowledgeable or very friendly, she was also slow. The owner was friendly though and this is the only reason they get 2 stars instead of one. The pastry sampler was overpriced and very small and very bland tasting. Didn’t try anything else here, not sure if I will.

I eat here at least 3 times a week. The souvlaki gyro can’t be beat! I also love the shrimp Santorini. If you’re in Colonial Heights, you must stop here.

Excellent Greek food cooked to order. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried there, but tend to get the same things a lot, so my review is a bit limited. I once got 5 dinners to go and asked that it be put on a platter with the tasty rice and yogurt sauce for the kabobs, and it looked and tasted soooo good!

Pros: Most dishes were very good. Reasonable prices. Big portions. Cons: Side vegetables were frozen, not fresh. Soupy rice pudding. Weak beer list. We ordered several appetizers: hummus, feta cheese, dolmades(stuffed grape leaves), and melitzanosalata(eggplant dip — think baba ganoush). All were delicious. The fish of the day was tilapia. My wife ordered it: a whole fish, perfectly filleted, and very nicely done in a garlic/olive sauce. Unfortunately, the mixed vegetables on the side seemed frozen rather than fresh. I got the moussaka. Tasty. For dessert, we got the baklava and the rice pudding. Excellent baklava. But the rice pudding was more soup than pudding. It wasn’t thick enough. My wife drinks red wine. She got the douro, and she liked it.(Very full glass, BTW.) But I’m a beer guy, and the beer list was a disappointment: no micros, no Virginia beers. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The restaurant was empty when we got there, around 8 on a Saturday night. I guess Colonial Heights eats dinner early. Service was friendly and attentive.

Some of the best Greek food I’ve had in a long time. I’ll be going back to get some more. I just don’t understand why they don’t have more business than they do.

This restaurant is subpar at best and is usually pretty empty at dinnertime. The service is lacking and the waitperson uninformed about the menu. The food takes quite a while to come out, which would be fine if it was delicious or even hot, but it is neither. The menu describes a fettucine dish that when served, is spaghetti. Basically, I still go occasionally if I’m not short on time but only for a call in takeout order. If you want delicious greek food, try someplace in richmond or go to alexander’s!

This was my second visit to this restaurant. The food was delicious and very visually appealing on the plate. Portions were a nice size. The baklava was just OK. The waitress needed some work. She was not dressed appropriately and kept prattling on and on about how hot she was and how dark the lighting was and how it made her feel like she was in a morgue viewing dead bodies. Not interested! I don’t know why she couldn’t just adjust the temperature and lighting and move on. She couldn’t answer a single question about the food she was serving and kept reaching across in front of my face to place and pick up items on the table. Some days I struggle to leave a tip on the table.
