Consign and Design

This is a super cute shop that carries only nice, quality furniture and decorations. It’s always fun to visit because they get new items in all the time. I actually watched one of the workers set out a vase, and within five minutes a customer had bought it and was out the door.
I bought my coffee table here and have been really happy with it. I get so many compliments on it! The ladies who helped me were very friendly and knowledgable, and I enjoyed chatting with them about the furniture (Old French style dinning table? So pretty! Wish I could afford it…). A little on the pricy side, you get what you pay for– high quality furniture.

Not impressed at all. I stopped in several times. I get the feeling this is a hobby business, not a real business. Each time the owner was more interested in rearranging furniture or chatting with friends. I told her I was building a house & needed interior design help, plus had some furniture I was thinking of consigning in order to get it out of the house I had to sell. Since this is billed as a furniture consignment shop, as well as an interior design services business, PLUS a home staging business, dollar signs should have been going off in the owner’s mind, as I had all 3 to do. Instead I felt like I was bothering her & interrupting her socializing. A good business person would have asked me a lot of questions about what I was building & what house I was going to sell in order to do a needs assessment & line it up with the services she could provide (I’ve been in sales myself). She did not ask me any questions. I really was a goldmine waiting to happen, but I was not made to feel welcome or like the owner was actually interested in providing services.
Don’t get me wrong, I was greeted upon entry & she did answer my questions, but there was no enthusiasm, no interest in building a customer relationship, no interest in selling me her services, no interest in finding out my needs, no interest in cross selling her services. Frankly, there wasn’t much interest in talking to me at all. I found that each & every visit (4 in total).
This is a very small place for a used furniture store, so the selection is not huge, but the pieces she had are nice & seemed reasonably priced, however I wasn’t in the market to buy furniture, I was really there for the 3 main points of her website, home staging, consignment of furniture & interior design services. Might be a good place to buy furniture, if you don’t mind feeling like a nuisance to the owner. Luckily there are plenty of other home staging businesses & interior designers in town who are actually excited about earning your business!

Stumbled on this place in search of a unique TV stand. It looks upscale when you walk through the door but I was pleasantly surprised at the prices (the sale items were a steal!). Great store and a very friendly (but not overbearing) staff. Lots of trendy/​chic pieces as well as antique furniture. Will be back.
