DLS Tire Centers

On Friday September 7, 2012 I discovered a slow leak on my front left tire upon leaving work located on S Nevada Ave. A fellow military service member referred me to DLS Tire Center a few blocks away on Wahsatch Ave for a tire patch, prior to driving home on the NE side of town. My friend stated to mention he referred me so they won’t take advantage of me by running up the price tag being that I’m a woman. The next day, Saturday September 8, 2012, I returned home from running errands and noticed the same tire went flat. I replaced the tire with a spare and decided to take my car to get a new Goodyear tire under my warranty with Walmart located 2 miles from my home. Prior to leaving for Walmart I called DLS Tire Center requesting a refund. The manager I spoke with stated I would just need to bring my receipt in and he would give me a refund. I asked if he could refund the money back to my account over the phone, then he stated I would actually need to come in anyway with the tire so he can confirm it was a lack of quality in their work. I stated I will need to return the tire to Walmart for a replacement tire under my warranty, but I could email him a date/​time stamped picture I took of the tire showing the opened patch after the work was done. He then suggested I drive downtown to DLS Tire Center on my spare to show him the tire prior to getting it replaced at Walmart. I replied, «Absolutely not! I live on the NE side of town and it’s not worth risking my safety to drive all the way downtown for the refund.» The manager stated, «Well I can’t help you.» This information was sent to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for a refund request, though DLS Tire Centers is not BBB accredited.
