My husband and I went to Loonee’s for the first time last night. We had a fantastic time! We ate at a little Chinese restaurant right next door before the show(which was delicious, fast, and cheap!). We arrived at Loonee’s at 7:30 and were seated quickly. They showed funny videos on a screen until the show started which was fun. The show started right on time. They had two acts before the headliner, Kris Shaw, who was hilarious. The show ended at 9:30. Drinks were very watered down but that’s my only complaint. We’ll definitely be back!

Great comedy. But ordered chips and salsa and potato skins over an hour ago and still waiting. Pretty ridiculous.

I have been to many comedy clubs across the country, and Loonees is one of the best. Always a great show, and very friendly wait staff. Whomever is running the place knows what he’s doing. I HIGHLY recommend going to Loonees.

We we went last night with a group of 8 with«free» tickets, and spent $ 36 to get two beers and two appetizers, as is required by the 2 item minimum. The food was decent, but we got our tab BEFORE our food and were being hounded to pay it so we would be out for the next show. The comedians were pretty good, but the venue is awful: dirty, crappy tables, filthy bathrooms with toilets that don’t flush and didn’t flush over a year ago when I was last here! The whole environment feels seedy! I’d rather pay for a ticket than be forced to buy a minimum. This place hasn’t been upgraded in years. You feel like you need to eat up, drink up, pay up and get out!

Had a great time on 10APR15, Christopher«Kid» Reid was very funny. Was not sure what to expect but was not disappointed. The food at Loonies was amazing, had the«Tonya Harding Club» it was huge and tasted great. Free tickets, you can’t find a better deal on a great time. Will be going back!

My wife received an email about a Valentine’s Day show at loonies that was to include a dessert buffet for an extra $ 5. We decided to check it out. The main comedian for the evening was this gal named Gretchen Hess from Denver, and she was howlingly funny! We get to loonies maybe 2 – 3 times a year and it’s always a welcome change from the typical night out on the town. The spread they had laid out with the desserts was great! Many different little desserts, cakes, cookies, fresh bananas and strawberries, complete with a chocolate fountain! For the additional $ 5 it was well worth it. We have already decided to watch for the Valentine’s Day promotion next year. Hope they do it again… for all we know it’s been going on for years. Loonies is a long time colo spgs staple and we’re glad it’s here!

The comedians were pretty funny tonight. Sam Adams from Denver, CO was the main comedian tonight, and the other opening acts were just as funny. When you enter the venue you walk straight into the bar. Off to the left of the bar there is a hallway the opens up to the comedy room. The place is kinda small, but there is plenty of seating and small cocktail tables. The food is reasonably priced unlike other comedy clubs, but the food was o-k. The venue needs some renovation because the place looks pretty dive-y. They could probably get some bigger tables, then customers could order more food items. The tables are so small. Also, the bathrooms are kind of grimy and when there are too many people in the bathroom flushing toilets(I believe there was a total of 3 – 4 stalls) the water doesn’t work! So everyone’s pee is floating in the toilets. Other than that, customer service is great, drinks are good and they have some funny guest comedians.

I’m not sure why all the loonies that have wrote reviews are bickering. I’ve been here a couple times now and I like it. Yes, it’s in an old side of town. Yes, there is a two item minimum. Yes, the tables are small. The rookies that are complaining have never been to another comedy club to see that they ALL have small tables and have DRINK minimums. Loonees only requires two of any item. You can have a drink(alcoholic or non) and a food item and that could count as your two. This goes without mentioning that all their items are cheap and so is their admission. It’s definitely worth checking out and yes, their Groupon did mention there was a two item minimum. Even if it didn’t, wouldn’t you research the place you’re going anyway? Or is that just me?

My husband and I went after I bought tickets on groupon. Nowhere on the groupon did it say there was a two-item purchase required. So we were not very pleased when the waitress came up to us and told us that. There was a hypnotist and it was actually pretty funny. We will probably go again.

I asked for a hot dog, and it was a penis with mustard on it. This place it’s full of dicks and phallic symbols. Go to Tim McKenna’s mics at South Side Johnnys and The Red Room.

Saw Dustin Diamond. Had an awesome night. Drinks weren’t too expensive and the show was great. Even got to meet him after the show. Well worth it! The place was a little run down but overall was great!

The only reason anyone still goes to this place is because it’s the only comedy club in town… but personally, I’d rather hold out and go see the comedy show at Stargazers’ Theater once a month than waste a penny of my money going to Loonees. They give away«free tickets» to get people in the door and then force you to purchase bad food and watered down drinks that are all priced well above their actual worth. The comedians can be funny but there are plenty of other places to watch comedy in town if you know where to look and I’d rather go to any one of those places anyday.

One of my co-workers invited me to Loonees Comedy Corner on a Friday night. I didn’t have anything going on and have been meaning to come here for a few years… just didn’t have the opportunity. Drove by Phở Viet and wolfed down a medium size bowl of Phở Tai Chin and headed over… gorged. Entry fee was 10 bucks and there’s also a 2 item minimum… I ended up getting a cup of coffee and cheesecake as none of the fried menu items were appealing to me. For some reason, they like to cram people all around a tiny little table with the chairs all next to each other. I hate that shiet since the dude behind me was straddling my chair… dammit…I was in the man’s crotch! Puking in my mouth! The show itself always depends on the comedian… our comedians tonight were awesome… very funny and a great bargain at 10 bucks. Seating was at 730pm, the show started promptly at 800pm and was over around 920’ish.

Made the trip down to the Springs to see a friend who was performing. Loonees is not in a great area, but there’s plenty of parking and it’s pretty nice inside. The tables are spread out just enough that you don’t feel like you’re sitting on top of your neighbor. The wait staff was very nice and kept the Guinness flowing for me. And, maybe it’s the Denver in me, but I didn’t think the prices were bad. My friend was hilarious! I’m so glad I went. I wasn’t as thrilled by the headliner, but all in all it was a good night.

Don’t pay, get the free tix. They will charge you enough for drinks. Usually have a good two out of the three acts though!

We have been going here forever, because it is the only option in Colorado Springs for live comedy. The trick is to get free tickets and only order the 2 very expensive drinks they make you purchase. Who do they think they are fooling with these stupid games? They have the smallest martini’s I have ever seen. They really should call them shots. We always have fun, however, I can’t imagine actually paying to go in there to get a tiny over priced cocktail.

Modest comedy club in a lame location. It can very empty so the energy can be poor for comedy. The acts lean toward hillbilly but I have seen a few very funny acts. If you give them you phone number they will give free tickets all the time. Too bad it wasn’t downtown.
