Love love love this business! Food — ordered a meal plan and tried the 14⁄7 combo. I tried lots of different items with the intent of focusing my next order based on favorites. Delivery — right to my door! I was unable to drive after surgery and wanted healthy, tasty options Local — I appreciate that I’m supporting excellent local commerce and it’s high quality :) I’ve a few paleo staples I don’t love(sweet potatoes being one item, sacrilege I know). I opted to order entrees with sweet potatoes and will reorder as the flavors were delicious! Highly recommend. No, it’s not cheap but the portions and quality are worth it. I’d rather invest in my health than fill up with crappy food.

I had to start a Unilocal page for this business because I have just been over-the-top impressed with them. I’ll do my best to express how great I really feel they are. Progressive Paleo is a store that carries pre-prepared(unfrozen), paleo meals. There are a few ways you can purchase from them. First, you can go in store and choose from their refrigerator of stuff. As explained to me, they only prepare food that has been ordered, which means that whatever people order under the meal plans, they make extra to stock the fridge so people can come in to purchase individual meals. The second option is to do the aforementioned meal plan, which comes in three different sizes. To use this option, you go to their website, choose the size plan that you want, and select the meals you want from the menu of offerings. These are pre-orders which can be picked up from the store or delivered to you three days after you submit your order(as long as you order on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. I assume there’s a four day wait for Tuesday/Thursday orders). I have not tried this second option yet, only because I wanted to try a few meals before committing to a whole plan. I have been to Progressive Paleo twice. The first time I went, I walked in right at closing time. I felt bad, but I wanted a meal to take home since my evening run had taken longer than planned, and I intended to just get in and out quickly. This was also, obviously, my first encounter with the customer service. Instead of rushing me out, Skip, one of the owners, actually met me at the door and opened it for me. He walked me to the fridge to explain everything and make recommendations on the meals that were available. While ringing up my order, he continued to answer my questions and explain to me how everything worked. I really appreciated that he didn’t try to rush me out, since I had already put that pressure on myself. Instead, he made me feel like I was welcome to stay for a while and chat if I wanted. The second time I went, they had just prepared meals and stocked the fridge, so there was much more to choose from. Everything looked SO good. Skip was there again, and again came to point out the meal options that he thought were the best. To my great surprise, he remembered not only my name but details about me that I had shared with him on my previous visit that I wouldn’t have expected him to remember. I was VERY impressed by that. To me, an owner who is that invested in his clients is a big deal and shows a great deal of professionalism. As for the food, which is maybe the most important part, it is unbelievable good. When you walk into Progressive Paleo, the first thing you notice is the kitchen. All of the food is prepared and packaged right there. It’s kinda cool to see where the magic happens, and then take the food home and be able to appreciate how good it is. The meals I’ve eaten so far are the lasagna(made with thinly sliced eggplant and zucchini instead of noodles), chorizo hash with egg, and bolognese over spaghetti squash. If there’s such thing as making out with your food, I’ve done it while consuming these meals. I just cannot get over how good it is. Seriously, I wish I had better words to convey the deliciousness of this food. The fact that Skip and his team have been able to take noodles out of some of my favorite dishes(and noodles are my favorite food of all time) and still give me a meal that I want to eat three or four times over(in the same sitting) is truly amazing. Just a few more notes: The meal plans are priced to save you a bit of money over going in to buy individual meals. You also have the option of choosing what to order, as opposed to having to select from what other people have ordered(again, they take the pre-order meals, and make a bit extra to put in the fridge). When you think about the cost of a meal plan versus grocery shopping and cooking and especially versus eating out, you’ll realize that it’s really a great deal. Where I’d normally spend over $ 100 for a weeks worth of groceries, the smallest meal plan(which is perfect for one person for a week) costs $ 150. And that’s including them doing all the cooking and cleaning for you(all you have to do is pop your meal in the microwave). Compare that price to what it’d cost to eat at a restaurant for even just a few nights a week(which I’m guilty of), and you can really see what a great deal it is. I know it sounds like I’m really tooting Progressive Paleo’s horn, and I am. I am so excited to have come across this business and I look forward to frequenting the establishment on many occasions. This is a business that I can really buy into and feel good about supporting. I feel as though these owners have a passion for what they do and have a commitment to their customers. I’ve been telling everyone I know about this place.
