This area is fortunate to have a lot of thrift shops. My wife and I go bargain hunting regularly and have found some great bargains out there. Unfortunately this store was very off-putting. Everything seemed way overpriced. Average used furniture shouldn’t cost hundreds of dollars and nothing should wreak of smoke like one piece did that smelled up the whole area.

The variety at this location makes this a «must visit» when I’m in town. Low prices and an excellent selection. The clothing is usually better brands and there is a huge selection of furniture. My only quibble would be the check out can often get backed up. Thankfully the friendly staff makes this one of the best Thrift shops in Colorado Springs.

It’s exactly as expected. On Monday afternoon, I went in for the first time to this Tutt location, and I’m impressed by the newer building and how things are laid out very nicely inside. There were no lines at checkout, and the cashier was pleasant and thanked us for coming in. We were looking for used vases for some cheap wedding décor, and because I hate buying new stuff that I know I won’t be using again, S.A. was perfect and we found what we needed. I’ve donated a few times and have even called their truck to pick up some nice furniture from the house I was getting rid of. They’re pretty organized and I’ve never encountered issues with my donations, pickup times, or the like. Parking lot is spacious.

I love thrift store shopping! You never know what you are going to find! This thrift store is no exception and offers quite the array of thrifty items. I generally head here when I am looking for old, retro clothing. They have a HUGE selection of it and I almost always find what I am looking for. I came by once to look for some old furniture that I could salvage and re-purpose, but I found their furniture selection to be hit or miss. It is always of really good quality and in generally good shape, but there isn’t always very much of it. Same with their housewares selection. I know this has to do with the number of donations they receive and it seemed even more prevalent during my last visit when I noticed the sign out front stating their donation inventory was running dangerously low and that they were in dire need. Perhaps next time I will donate my unwanted possessions to this location as oppossed to Goodwill!

It’s kinda odd writing a review on this place. I mean, does anyone really care how good or bad this place is? they’re mostly all the same and offer only what people donate to the company. This one in particular wasn’t too shabby. My wife and I came in looking for some retro ski clothes for the next Unilocal Elite event and we were pretty successful. They didn’t have much in the way of pants but we found some super sweet jackets to compliment the rest of our attire. My biggest complaint about this Salvation Army was that the line to pay was enormous and it seemed like no one was in any hurry to alleviate this problem. Right after coming here we went to The Arc on Academy and it proved to be the best place for EVERYTHING weird, retro, etc that you would need.
