I’ve been in the bike industry for nearly 17 years and it always amazes me as to how often I find myself working with companies that adopt mediocrity as their standard. That is anything but the case with the folks at Spectrum Powder Works.
I recently sent my titanium Alchemy Eros in for a much needed face lift and was sort of caught off guard by the degree of professionalism that I was greeted with. From my initial emails, to every follow up email, every question I had about the process, the cost and the final product was carefully and thoughtfully answered.
When I finally received my frame set back, it was clear that Spectrum is home to some of the finest craftsmen and women in the industry. Every detail from the quality of the masking to the transitions from the main color to the logos was perfect.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. THESE GUYS ROCK!!!

My wife and I recently traveled to China and came across some of those old, kitschy Communist propaganda posters. They were absolutely hilarious. I threatened to buy some and hang them up prominently in our home, which my wife strictly forbade. I said, «Well, what if I get my bike painted like that?» Her response was, «So long as it’s not in the house, you’re free to do whatever you want.»

The best guys in the business are at a shop called Spectrum Powderworks — they’re probably the only people who can handle something this complicated.» When I called them up, they got back to me immediately with design ideas, options, and they understood EXACTLY what I was looking for in my design. They took my tentative, fuzzy ideas, and were able to come up with a design that far exceeded my expectations.
I am an absolute diehard fan of Spectrum Powderworks. They’ve created and painted a truly unique design for my bike, which I will proud to show off on club rides and in races.
