This is a GREAT, family friendly place! I couldn’t have asked for a better wangler lead and the customer service from Laurie & her daughter(sorry forgot your name) was exceptional! We HIGHLY recommend this place before any of the other local horse riding establishments! We will be back again!

Had a great time on our trail ride today! They were very friendly here, the scenery was beautiful, and I loved our guide! She told us all about the natural surroundings and a bit of other local history. My boyfriend and I are relatively experienced riders but they have horses suitable for all experience levels. I recommend having a 4WD vehicle to get there, the ranch is off of a very long unpaved road on the edge of the mountain. We will definitely come here again on vacation.

Great views and cool guide. Just wish we didn’t go at a walk the entire time! The drive up the mountain was terrible(I was in a mustang at the time) was just told it was dirt roads, not about the craters missing in the road and that if you don’t have a truck or keep you’ll prob scrape the crap outta your car. People also drive like maniacs going up and down so beware! If you don’t have access to a 4×4 or love your car too much– find a different stables!

Our family went on the two hour ride and it was incredible. Amazing views as you ride through the mountains and all of the trees. We were on vacation and several locals asked us before we went riding which stables we had chosen, and when I told them stables at the Broadmoor everyone of them said we had chosen the very best. Great experience!

I had a lovely hour ride with friendly and experienced horse guide Kaylee. They even took me after the other person cancelled as a single rider. I’m a tender foot and they gave me gentle Scarlett. She warned me when Scarlett might take s baby jump over a creek, which was a great thrill. I felt very safe and she was also informative about local history and lore. I found out that this is a second generation family business ran by women! Great experience, value and fun.

My wife and son went on a ride on 8÷26÷2014. There was a pop up thunderstorm while on the trail.. A lightning strike was close by and spooked the horses. One of the clients fell off. The so called«wrangler» seemed more involved with a girl he was trying to impress than taking care of the people. The girl wanted to continue the ride. So he left the man and his horse on the trail waiting while he continued up the mountain. All the horses were still a little spooked. And there still was storms and lightning. Now, I use to be a Wrangler for many years. This would be considered a unsafe practice at any stable. It’s about the safety of the people on the mountain. Not sticking your penis in the girl that you are trying to impress. Both my wife and son were concerned with the storm and the man that fell off the horse. I question the training by the management of this stable. I hope this doesn’t happen to another person.. leaving a person alone on a trail that they don’t have any idea where they are and how to get down. . I did tone down what I wanted to say.

Awesome ride thru the woods. Gorgeous scenery. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We live in PHX but whenever we visit we always come here for horseback riding.

My niece Shelby and I just had the greatest day with Lori and kaylee riding their horses on the mountain. We saw buffalo and what a perfect setting for super reasonable rates. We are grateful to now know of them and can call them our new family of friendship. Awesome horses people rates riding experience don’t hesitate to enjoy the day with them.

Great for adventure Pros: Great scenery Friendly staff & trail guides Horses well trained Not too far from Colorado Springs Cons: Some safety concerns For the advanced trail, didn’t give much instruction. Large group We booked a 2 hour reservation for an afternoon trail. From Colorado Springs Its a VERY windy, narrow, gravel road but it only took about 45 minutes from downtown. I cannot express the beauty of the area. We were greeted by friendly staff, signed the disclaimer and given the option of helmets. They also had sunscreen at no cost and you could take small water bottles if you wanted. There were 12 riders which is a huge group to only have 2 guides. They asked everyone’s level(almost all were beginners) and then assigned horses. It seemed they paired most people well except for a lady in front of me who had never ridden and her horse seemed not well trained(maybe the horse was not into the ride?). Most of the trail is through Pikes Peak Forest — incredible! The views and scenery was stunning — we really got out into the mountains and into nature. Our trail guides were Ed and James, they gave lots of tips, info and answered questions. The downside of this — the trail we went on needed serious maintenance and it was NOT a beginner tail, I consider myself«intermediate» skill level and it was the most difficult trail I have EVER been on. There were SHEER drops and lots of loose sand. The horses had to cross fallen logs and take 2 foot drops. There were times I was terrified for my horse’s safety and my family! I overheard several other riders who were also surprised at this. They really need to get out there and clear the trail and level off some areas. We actually had a 2.5 hour ride and overall it was incredible and I would do it again. BUT I would ask for a less advanced trail and I highly recommend if you are a beginner to only do the 1 hour ride.
