I’m a coffee lover and I can tell– it’s the best coffee in town! 5 stars for sure!!! Also, as I mention, this place is so popular to eat breakfast!!!

Cute little bar! They have an interesting menu, but I wasn’t in the mood to drink so I can’t say if the drinks are good. They looked good, and my friends sure seemed to think they were tasty since they kept ordering them! The bartenders were super friendly, and the prices were pretty fair. They had a lot of coffee choices and tea choices, which had me curious so I will have to go back and try some of their drinks for sure. The atmosphere was laid back and chill. Very cool place!

You have plenty of options on the beer. If you can’t find a delicious beer here then you are just broken. Plenty of flavors and all delicious. Warlock, Lab, random seasonal’s, etc. they are all good. The food looks good, I only say this because my date and I had the Caesar Salad, and we all know that is not a true review of a restaurant’s cooking ability… I had a late lunch so wasn’t that hungry, but I can say the salad was good. The chicken was plenty flavorful and was moist, perfect amount of dressing, and didn’t see a wilted leaf on the plate; so as salads go it was a win in my book. As for the service, well it was great. We had our waiter and he was at our table before our beers were finished to see if we wanted another. He also had either a backup waiter or bar-back who helped. The only knock I would say on the backup waiter/bar-back is that he was a little unsure if we where the right table when he brought a drink, dude just needed a little more confidence or should just go for it when bringing a beer to a table; throw that drink down and say«here you go.» The price wasn’t too bad either. I don’t remember my exact price, and don’t feel like looking it up, but with two salads, five beers, and over a 20% tip it was less than $ 50(or at least I’m pretty sure it was). The final thing is that it is a bit of a hipster location. Personally I don’t have a problem with that, but be forewarned. I think it is just a cool concept and enjoyed it, but to each their own. Also, men’s bathroom has some sweet dinosaurs painted on the walls.

Must try lavender latte! Came across this place on Unilocal and was skeptical but it’s great. Looks like a school house and has been renovated into coffee shop and brewery. They also serve breakfast all day. Also there’s a bakery with delicious treats. Plenty of different things to check out here.

This place is different. It’s nice, but different. The atmosphere was great, you have to get your own cloth napkins and bottle of water, which is cool in its own hipster kind of way. My wife had the California eggs Benedict and it looked like somebody spilled some tomato and avocado on it. It had tons of hollandaise sauce and when my 2 year old daughter tasted it she spit it out and said: «sour!» And sour it was and so was I since I payed $ 8.95 for it. I had a cappuccino which you need to get separate at the bar on the other side. The tiny $ 3.00 cup had a beautiful art on it. In my opinion it was more a tiny latte then a cappuccino since there was only a little bit of foam and latte art on a cappuccino doesn’t seem right. My ham cheese croissant was good! Overall a pretty decent place. I would like to come back at night and try their cocktails.

Fantastic place. Environment is great, lots of awesome events held at the school, plenty of room for seating, and not too loud, even during happy hour. The wine selection is great, the tea is fantastic, fresh brewed loose leaf, and reasonably priced. I love the staff, and the clean energy of the place. Highly recommend for going here with friends, a casual date, lunch, or dinner.

Good atmosphere not too loud, enough for conversation. Bartender took his time making my drink, sazerac, which is as it should be nice flavor crisp citric aroma. The martini was smooth and crisp flavor. Great shop for a drink

Review for coffee only and as a preface I am a Starbucks gold card holder so. yeah…I am not a artisanal coffee kinda girl Although, the coffee was good. I got a shot of espresso which I mistakenly ordered thinking I had asked for a cappuccino. How did I do that, I will never know. The only reason for the three stars is it’s not a «coffee shop» like we were lead to believe. We came here with laptops ready to work but I just felt really in the way. They have a little alcove for people to set up and work from but I crave the feel of a coffee shop if I am going to get a designer cup of coffee. This didn’t have that. The converted school co-op is a really neat concept but I wish this place had a legit library/coffee shop.

The experiences I’ve had here at The Principals Office in Colorado Springs are far greater than those of my childhood, that’s for certain! Although smaller in size, it is quaint, endearing, and somehow you get lost in the interactions of strangers sitting to your left or your right as well as the entertaining exchange between the bartenders [or, as I like to refer to them, mixologists]. It has been a delight every time I’ve gone for a «Detention Hour» drink after work or pre/post dinner. Me and my company favor it so much it has become a routine spot to stop at when we are gaming for a night out on the town. And, if you sit and chat long enough you start to notice the intricate decorative pieces that hide within the bars design, it truly transforms the space and gives loads of character. I personally love the hand crafted cocktails and the swanky attire worn by the staff, of whom, are always friendly and have the best personalities. This place isn’t just known for their libations either; their coffee selection is out of this world — literally. There are a myriad of world trade brews to choose from all of which can be customized in its preparation. Regardless if you’re looking for an exceptionally prepared caffeinated beverage on your way to work or a place to mingle while sipping on exquisitely hand crafted libations, The Principals Office always delivers — it is the one place where you won’t mind being reprimanded!

This is a place I want to like. The idea of a local, community based coffee shop in a refurbished school is great. Many of the staff are friendly, good people. Many of my friends have worked here. Sadly though, behind the scenes, sloppy management, questionable business practices, and bad treatment of employees makes this a place that, as much as I’d like to, myself and any other ethically minded people should think twice before supporting.

I asked for the Ethiopian Reko pour-over & it was the most epic cup of coffee I’ve ever drank. The best part was watching the care and craft that went into making it and the friendliness of the folks here. We also hung out in the Study Hall(which is right next door) and the atmosphere was perfect for getting work done.

I love this place. I really, really do. The fact that they’ve used the school(that was built in the same era as the middle school I attended). The croissants are amazing. The coffee is always great. They have completely ruined me on ordering Moscow Mules anywhere else because they’re just… so much better than anywhere else. Also, Erica is amazing. Keep that girl around.

AREYOUKIDDINGME!!! Coming to this place is like stumbling into Narnia. The coffee is great, they have quality equipment and friendly knowledgable staff manning it. They bake their bread fresh everyday. And it is so unbelievably good. Everything Bread should be in every food store in America. The Ham & Cheese Croissant was savory and delicious. To top it all off, it’s in a gentrified school building(hence the name) and it is well put together. Hipster without the negative side effects or attitude. This place is better than ANYTHING I’ve found in Denver so far.

This is such a wonderful place to spend an evening with friends! The ambience is casual but lively and the patios are wonderful. The staff is always friendly and the prices aren’t bad. The mixed drinks are a bit pricey for such a small serving but they are well made. If you like red wine I would recommend the«Force of Nature» which is a lovely blend. The«gym» is also available for large groups. Our convention party had a reception dinner and it is very nice with windows they put in to minimalist the«gym stuffiness» and is definitely authentic. I also know it is authentic because my dad went to school here and the Principal’s Office is in the actual location as the original office and kept as much as they could of the original building. I appreciate that they went to so much trouble to keep the building in tact. I highly recommend going here :) I wish the PO had wait service like the Bristol one does but it is so enjoyable I didn’t even care after the second drink!

A coffee shop with alcohol. Also located on the second floor of a renovated school house. Very unique! It was a bit confused where the location was. I tried my luck coming from the outside patio and luckily reached the bar area! You can also go in from the main entrance. Different ways to get in the coffee shop. I ordered a latte. Typically when I order a latte, I get 1 raw sugars with it. Their sugars here are in liquid form(they don’t come in packets or in dry/powder form). I thought that was unique as well. The prices I thought were more reasonable than Starbucks. Also, if I had a choice between here and Starbucks, I’d choose the Principal’s Office. There is seating at the bar area and plenty of seating in the place itself. There is also a cute area in the back for seating and to study. Mood lighting included. There’s also a shelf next to the bar where you can help yourself with a jar of water, glasses, and utensils. This was a unique coffee experience. :)

I absolutely loved this place. It was bustling with a happy crowed in an old school building. Hands down some of the best service and their mochas are yummy! I will definitely come back.

Located inside a re-purposed school building named Ivy Wild, which is total hipster scene and you know I love it. This bar is cheeky with it’s cocktail names, such as Class Pet and Rude Boy. Even it’s slogan«Libations for the Troubled» had me intrigued. There was a drink that had caught my eye, the Chamomile Ramos Gin Fizz. They currently did not have that particular gin infusion on hand, but offered to make me a Jasmine one instead. Sounds equally delicious. I appreciated the time it took to my drink. A Ramos Gin Fizz is no easy feat; you pretty much shake until your arms want to fall off. Admiring their décor and continuing to peruse the menu, 20 minutes later my drink arrived with a nice foam head. Beautiful in looks, however lackluster in taste. There was perhaps too much cream, which overpowered the usual light and floral taste. It was drinkable, but it definitely was not the drink I was seeking out.

The Principal’s Office/Ivywild is an adult atmosphere set in a spunky school setting. The place is comfortable, even though it brings back memories of homework, and a smart choice to meet with friends. On one side of the building you have Bristol brewing, and on the other is the Principals Office restaurant and bar. I personally haven’t had the food but from what I heard it’s creative and worthwhile. They do brew their own ginger beer for the Moscow mules, and it’s incredibly crisp, and spicy. The indoor old-school gym is used for live music and dancing, and the bathrooms have ABCs on the walls.

This place is a taste of heaven. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating, baristas that are serious about making good coffee, great bakery, sandwiches to order, gift shop, and more. This is a very unique place for Colorado Springs from what I’m told. It’s great for groups or if you’re rocking it solo reading a book. Ps the giant dessert paintings on the walls are a nice touch lol.
