This place has changed in the last couple months. Amazing drinks, great crowd! The bartender is wonderful. Can’t wait to come back.

I started going to v bar a few months ago and enjoyed it a lot. Since then they remodeled it and changed the name. But it’s as good as ever if not better. And I think that the two new girls are a great addition(grace, and elena)

So so so much fun at karaōke. Very friendly staff and the bar patrons are mixed LGBT/straight, friendly, and attractive. Next time I’m in Colorado Springs, I will be back.

Being a transplant from NY we’ve been in Colorado for about 1.5 years trying to find a comfortable place with awesome people, and this is it! Grace, our bartender was totally awesome, the bar-back, Will, was very approachable too. The drinks were awesome and the vibe was comforting. Love this place.

Okay so here’s the deal. When I go to a place like this I am pretty open but when I ask for vodka I want vodka. It’s not because I want you to make me like other alcohols its because vodka is the only thing that doesn’t give me a hangover sooo moral of the story, when you make me a drink that has gin in it instead I’m gunna me annoyed. That was the first visit. I wasn’t that upset since the bartender made me a new drink. Drinks were decently priced at $ 8 so I went back. Butt the second visit I got the same type of drinks except I was up charged to $ 12 a drink. Which is kinda bullshit if you ask me. Like how do you justify that? I won’t be going back.

the cocktails aren’t worth 12 bucks a pop. you sit there and listen to the bartender talk and talk and talk about how brilliant he is, and how one time a cocktail he made was featured in some magazine years ago. he wouldn’t let me see a drink list and instead asked what sort of drink I wanted, and then took 15 minutes to make it while he talked about how good at making drinks he is. he makes you think you’re getting a good deal or something, charges you 12 dollars a drink, and 36 dollars later you’re walking out of the bar wondering why you don’t even have a buzz. hint: it’s because all he puts in his drinks is muddled fruit juice. they serve the individuals with mental illness that have been kicked out of every other bar downtown because they shouldn’t be drinking, so I was sitting at the bar next to a man who shouted at nothing every few minutes and another man who had been 86’d from my place of work because he drinks one drink, gets wasted, and drops and breaks things and is extremely touchy-feely makes customers extremely uncomfortable. i watched the bartender overserve both individuals. I had a friend say they stayed drinking there until 3AM one night, so maybe they’ll get shut down anyways.

If you want the BEST cocktail you have ever had you have to come here. This is the kind of place you come to and say I like vodka or bourbon and they will make you something you have never had before. They are creative and delicious drinks. If you don’t give this place a drink or two you are waisting your night out! Hope you get Adam as your bartender if you are lucky enough…

This place was okay. The music is usually pretty good… considering it’s Colorado Springs and all they play everywhere else is DJ Casper, Cha Cha Slide. The drinks are a bit much. My biggest complaint, I went there one night, I left my card there. It was the last place I was, I started a tab and totally forgot to pay it and left(yes, I know I’m at fault for that). I was going out of town the next day and stopped there to pick up my card and they said they didn’t have it. I said that’s funny, because I never closed out, but my bank said I did? They just looked at me like«what are you going to do about it?» So, I didn’t have my debit card my whole trip! Thank for teaching me a lesson V Bar! I haven’t been back since.

V Bar is one of my favorite bars to go to because of the reasons many folks don’t like it – Yes, often times it’s dead, even so on some weekends. Yes, it’s dark and yes, it rarely gets jumpin like other places downtown. I’m no drinker, but every once in awhile i do like to have a beer and just hit a bar, newspaper in tow, to relax and pretend like I’m a barfly kind of dude… lol. I also like coming into V Bar because it definitely has that, kind of hole-in-the-wall vibe. I dislike places that are super crowded, which it rarely is, and I like dimly lit spots which it always is, so it makes sense for me. Last I stopped in was around New Year’s sometime, and it was completely empty and I had two overpriced Heineken’s, but I sat and spoke with the bar tender for a bit. It’s Just a nice lil’ spot to have a seat and chill in for a moment or two. I doubt I’d ever want to spend more than an hour there tops. As far as prices go, it’s gonna be about what n’ what with other places downtown. Music can be hit-or-miss. Generally speaking this place, when it does get going is more geared towards the EDM and dance crowd. They do sometimes have live DJ’s however, and on occasion I’ve heard them spinning sets of everything from Reggae to Hip-Hop and New Wave. Lately though it seems like the Bartenders are playing DJ and they’re selecting the music.

Skip this place. Customers and bartender were SO rude. Basically, all I enjoyed in this place was the cleanliness of the bathroom and my tasty, yet expensive drinks. Can have a better experience elsewhere for sure.

I’ve heard about his bar for quite some time and have been wanting to try it. I’m so glad I did! The atmosphere is very colorful with dim lighting. I went on a Saturday night, and there were several people there. I had a hard time finding a seat, but ended up sitting at the bar. I felt a little under dressed in my plaid shirt. The bartender was excellent! I don’t remember his name, but he did a fire breathing routine to a techno-y song during which he lit the bar on fire. It was so fun and visually appealing. I ordered a blood orange ginger martini which turned out to be VERY sweet. When the bartender asked me how it was, I told him it was«okay». He said he wants better than okay and asked what he could do better next time. He then returned with a less sweet, perfectly mixed drink for which he didn’t charge me. I will definitely be going back!

Such a great experience! The bartender Brandon knew his stuff! An excellent mixologist! I’m very picky about my martinis and this bartender knew exactly how to make the perfect dirty martini! I met the assistant manager and he was very nice and told me about the brand new karaōke system they have and are about to launch karaōke! I hope I didn’t let the cat outta the bag! But do yourself a favor, visit this jewel in downtown CoS. You won’t be sorry! The friendly staff and a avant gard décor, and with art selections from local artists to purchase along the wals, which I love btw! Go check it out, tell em the Full Monte sent Ya!

This bar is definitely on my favorites downtown! My friends and I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. A few friends visited from out of town and really wanted a nice bar to have a few drinks at. The dress is casual, the ambience is intimate, and the music is spot on. One of my friends had a few too many before we arrived so I went to the bar and asked the bartender(Adam, great guy!) for a fruity drink that tastes alcoholic but contains little to no alcohol. He was a drink expert, he whipped together the most convincing non-alcoholic drink I have ever tasted. When I brought this drink to my friend he liked it so much he ordered them all night. Adam, the bartender, even came to our table and recommended a few of his favorites for us to try, they were DELICIOUS! One was a coffee/espresso martini, it had the perfect blend of alcohol and coffee– absolutely delicious! The one thing I liked most about this bar is that although there is music(hip hip /R&B /90’s) it wasn’t too loud so that you aren’t able to have a conversation with your friends. I highly recommend this bar if you’re looking for a place to enjoy a few delicious drinks with a great nightlife atmosphere!

Walked in and walked right back out. The lighting was too dark and the strobes disturbing. When I look at a drink menu I want to know what the prices are — right there — not have to ask how much it’ll set me back. Granted, it was a Tuesday night, but while the 000 block of south Tejon was ROCKING with people, V Bar was E.M.P.T.Y.

Without a doubt, one of the most disturbing establishments I have frequented. Albeit disturbing, it did offer some entertainment value– hence, the generosity on my part, by adding a second star. Wifey and I entered about 8P on a Friday. We were seeking out martinis, as the previous bar(Rabbit Hole) was standing room only. Immediately, we were skeptic, as there was nobody in this bar. Seriously, not one soul, besides the overly friendly bartender who loudly welcomed us, as if we were his /her best friends. We almost left, but the bartender was friendly, and I noticed a great selection of Vodkas(e.g. Chopin &XO), so we rolled the dice, and grabbed one of the MANY empty barstools. This bartender, who I will not sellout by specifying the gender, couldn’t bartend if it saved his, or her life. I am not naming said bartender, because this person was hilarious, and exudes a million dollar personality. Only if this person could mix properly… Nevertheless, wifey ordered a Moscow Mule, and I went with a Chopin martini– straight up. A martini, straight up, generally means… well, basically straight Vodka, with maybe a dash-not even a splash, of *dry* Vermouth. This bartender added about 3 ounces of *sweet* Vermouth, so I can confidently say that this was one of the worst martinis I have ever consumed. Wifey concurred as her Moscow Mule was pretty much just all ginger beer. The ambience. WEIRD! Almost Middle Eastern, or possibly Indian. Who really knows, and when I asked the bartender, he /she laughed and said, «Well, if this is weird, just wait until Sunday, as that’s goth night.» Supposedly, a DJ was set to come in later that night. We opted to run, immediately after we forced our drinks– seriously, we forced these rancid concoctions down our throats, and took off. To sum it up– super friendly bartender, weird, empty, ambience, bizarre music, and downright disgusting drinks. 2 stars solely because the bartender was friendly. We felt sorry for him /her, as it seems as though the owner(s) has a huge identity crisis with this bar. Jon Taffer… Hello, Jon Taffer; this bar is in need of a serious rescue!

Eclectic music — not too loud. Very quaint and intimate setting. Cordial bar tenders; would have liked a bit more info. on the menu. Would recommend as a stop-by hang out but definitely not a place to pitch your tent for the night.

Currently branding as a hipster spot. I could be wrong, but I thought hipsters didn’t actually like to label themselves as hipsters. Regardless, the atmosphere is laid back. It’s off the main drag of Tejon, so close to the rest of the more crowded bars, but a little quieter. The service was a little slow, but we rolled in with about 12 people at once. All around, cool spot!

iLife this place. The bartenders are quick and happy to be there. They have cheap drinks and strong ones! The only bad thing is their small selections of draft beers. The music is hip hop mostly with a small dance floor. Wednesdays are Word Wednesdays, $ 5 to get in, but you get a drink ticket for a beer or well. You an rap, sing, act, whatever you want.

V Bar is sort of bizarre. It felt like a bar that was suffering from an identity crisis. The outside of the bar with its modern, sleek blue logo didn’t jive with the blood-red sponge-painted walls. None of it seemed to make sense with the Star Wars cartoons that were playing on the TV. And the crowd was eclectic to say the least. The drinks were okay(but not great), and the seating left something to be desired. The booths and seating areas would suggest intimate conversation, but the loud music didn’t really allow that type of conversation to take place. Overall, I sort of felt like I was hanging out inside a dark, spongy… let’s just say I’m thinking of something that starts with«V»(like the bar) and rhymes with angina. Ew.

When I first moved back to Colorado from Chicago, I went into nightlife shock. I mean there is no nightlife here. For me, Bar V is probably the closest thing to a city bar but in reality it’s just a small dive bar that has a DJ with no dancefloor, a small drink selection and a few pretty bartenders that were most likely hired because of their looks over their mixology talents. A couple things… 1. The beer selection is bad… Care for a Corona? Goodluck finding rare imports here 2. You need to actually sit at the bar to get service. They have other tables but you’ll get a round maybe every hour if you’re lucky. 3. They’ve attempted to go trendy with the absinthe fountains but they need better fountains and a better way to serve it. If you don’t want to make my absinthe all flashy then let it drip and go away. I don’t need you smashing my sugar cube and being all awkward. 4. Expensive price for C Springs but really cheap compared to a bigger city.
