Citibank

I have been a client of Citibank for over 25 years and had the biggest disappointment in the Colton Branch. My son who is mentally and physically disabled recently moved to Colton has an account also with Citibank. He went to cash a $ 60 check he receives monthly and although he is on an account he was fdenied by the branch manager Mr Ayalya because I am my sons payee and only I can cash his checks. It didn’t matter that he has been cashing them these last few months there and for years at the Redlands branch. My son had appropriate ID to cash the check. It was the meanest and callousness of this manager that made this call. I have to say I am totally shocked that he can’t cash a check since his account is with Citibank. I can’t imagine what the homeless do or anyone that needs a check cashed. If I could fire this manager I would so I will have to settle for closing his account and going elsewhere where then are more accommodating to the mentally disabled. Mr. Ayalya took this one small pleasure my son got from cashing a check and feeling independent and turned it into an ugly mess. Goodby Citibank.

Just went to this location today. It was really QUIET. Maybe even too quiet. There were only 3 people that I saw in the whole branch.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the branch will actually be closing and merging with the one in the Lake Success shopping center. Last day is 6÷29÷12. I was told folks already closed out their safe deposit boxes too. Probably not enough foot traffic.

There is a secret Citibank location right in the middle of the Lake Success Quadrangle. Did you know that? Ha! If it wasn’t for representatives coming to our workplace attempting to recruit us, I wouldn’t have known. Now, I can just walk over to Citibank on my lunch hour for my banking needs. Located between Nevada, Dakota, and Ohio drive, it is not obvious that a Citibank is located in the building other than Citibank flags around the building.
Since I always go in through the south entrance, I make a right into a long hallway and Citibank is at the end. There are two ATMs, one on the outside and the other on the inside. I like this branch because I rarely ever have to wait on line (since this IS a semi-​secret location.) The teller there is one of the sweetest employees I’ve ever met, speaking with a soft voice. There are no usual bullet-​proof windows separating us, making this place feel more friendly and approachable. I’m not even sure if that’s a good or bad thing. It’s got all the normal banking hours the other branches have minus the customer traffic. It’s heavenly.
I like this branch and it’s my lil’ secret.
PROS: secret location — no waiting time, friendly atmosphere
CONS: I think only the people who work at the Lake Success Quadrangle would benefit form this secret the most.
