After a long night getting merry lol I was in the need for a hearty wake me up… Muendo and tortillas to the rescue. They serve a large for 9 $ every Saturday and Sunday! Yum they had a nice crowd so apparently they are doing something right. I don’t speak any spanish but I understood enough to get my order going. Docked one star for ‘Cash Only’ luckily I had some change on me.

Great panaderia(and restaurant – nothing fancy in décor). Great hand made tortillas, pan dulce, burritos, buñuelos, menudo, etc. Great coffee. Doesn’t look like much, but the food is great. Also great plates with beans rice and different meats, depending on the day you go: comes with hand made tortillas. Very nice people at the counter. I still gave them 5 stars just because of the food. Service is a bit slow but worth it for the great food. CASHONLY. So be prepared.

I went in in the morning with my daughter and we got some bread, went home and it was hard as a rock… Idk if they try to get the hard bread out first but I mean no one likes that stuff… I feel they did me dirty

If you want some TRUE home cooking from a spot that is a go-to locale for the Mexican trabajadores and abuelitas, come here! All dishes are on point! Their tortillas hand made and pan dulce baked the day-of. On top of this, their breakfasts are DELICIOUS especially their chilaquiles and eggs with nopal Mmmmn! Their employees are beautiful down-to-earth people too! And the price IS right. So inexpensive, yet so hearty! You won’t regret it. Come here!

Seen the reviews, and said its worth a try. Well let me tell you they were gross… my coworker was looking for tamales for her Christmas gathering I mentioned to her this lil spot so we stopped by. She bought 3 dozens. She said take a couple to taste well I tried them the masa was raw the flavor was blahhhh. Not to mention the tamales were freaking raw and tasted sour ass hell!!! Maybe due to the Christmas orders but damm I’ve been looking for good tamales all around the IE nothing yet. So LA I will go to till I find a good spot…

This is a small shop that packs a huge flavor. I went there to get a coffee and came out with fresh had made Tamales. THEYWEREAMAZING. This place has great authentic pastries and Tamales. I would totally recommend them. Only downside if you can call it that is they only take cash. Other than that you are good to go.

Was waiting for my order at El Taquito and a guy told me about this place and they had great tamales. He was right! I ordered a couple chicken with green chile and a couple pork with red chile. Both were excellent. Eddie also told me to get some of their salsa which I did and was not disappointed at all. I have driven by this place a ton of times and will not drive by without stopping next time.

this place seriously confuses me. see the name? see how they say donut shop? guess what. they dont sell donuts. went there with grandson and they actually had very little in the counter. got him a milk out of the cooler and out of habit checked the date and it was almost a week expired! they do sell mexican pastries and some food items. so we got a cookie and 1 tamal to try… cookie was the same as any you can get in any mexican market. the tamal was a bit dry and bland tasting… wont be stopping there again…

Best tamales you will find … tacos are alright. Pan are very good. If you are served by the man who works there he is nicer I have gotten a couple women who were quite condescending and made me feel uncomfortable.

The only thing I have tried from here has been the Gorditas de Chicharon and they were very tasty and spicy, not to mention super cheap, oh ya I’ve also tried the Gorditas de Carne Asada and those were just okay the meat was super hard I don’t think I’d get those again. I will just stick to the Chicharon, also order ahead b/c sometimes they run out and you’ll be out of luck, this happened once and my Mom was able to convince them to make more lol(my Mom never takes no as an answer) so they made them for us which was really nice b/c we were craving them…

This place has some really good Mexican pastries. They also have a limited lunch menu. They open really early so it’s a great place to stop at and buy some goodies before heading into work. Also, their lunch foods(burritos, tamales, etc) include really fresh ingredients(their tortillas are made in-house), and everything is really inexpensive. I only wish that they’d spruce up the inside a bit, but I guess their budget décor is what helps keep costs low. Just remember: cash only!
