This place is a little hidden gem in Colton. I’ve been here for lunch and breakfast. Both times food was so delicious. Service is great they make sure you are taken care of. So far my mind was blown with the Portobello Mushroom Eggs Benedict Delicious. Son had the mini pancakes and he ate them all(can’t get pancakes wrong) and hubby had the eggs and sausage and he like it too. Might need a little redecorating some of their fixtures are a bit outdated but place is SUPER clean. overall food and service we outstanding!

Had no idea this place was even here. The food was awesome, great burgers too. Service was good and they are clearly focused on a quality meal. Will be going back and bringing some friends with me.

I had the graham cracker French toast and it was beyond exceptional. The service was great and the quality of the food was superb. I heard the other items on the menu are fantastic as well. I hope if you’re hungry and in the mood for some great cooking, please consider this local establishment. Bringing quality food to the inland empire. Finally food I don’t have to drive to LA for. Thank you, you’ve got a fan in me

I honestly didn’t not like these dishes they tasted so bland and not fresh! The ambiance in the restaurant is sketchy needless to say I will not be coming back.

Their crepes are amazing! I had to order two! I got the chicken, spinach, mushroom and bell peppers. And the second one was the banana and chocolate crêpe. And best part was it was right next to the hotel we were staying at so I walked over and picked it up

This place is truly a hidden gem, looking at the exterior you would think it’s a typical dinner, But oh no! It it’s fantastic! The Sunday brunch is superb! 6 bucks for unlimited champagne and a beautiful layout of food options! The crowd is a little more mature, which is great! You can eat in peace and enjoy a conversation!

I had been been wanting to try Le Rendezvous in Colton after my sister recommended it. Sure enough, I enjoyed the quality food. It’s not your typical fare, higher quality than Dennys and Applebee’s. I ordered the shrimp po’boy and loved it. One downside, the service was a little slow but that may be part of their laid back style. So relax, enjoy your conversation!

I’ve been wanting to come here ever since I found out about their San Bernardino location, but I never did. When I found out they changed chefs and changed their location, I had to come and try it. I’ve had exactly 2 perfect meals in my life and this was the 3rd. Everything my friend and I had was nothing short of perfection. We started with the escargot. Perfectly plump snails sautéed in garlic and herbs, served in an escargot dish, each topped with its own little puff pastry. Absolutely delicious! I’ve had escargot before and it tasted like liver to me, but this escargot was clean and tasted like a soft mussel. Very, very good. All their dinners come with your choice of a side salad or soup. I had the French onion soup(I came to a French restaurant and wanted everything French). Perfect. The soup had an amazing flavor. Sweet, earthy, a little bit meaty. The onions melting in your mouth and the toast on top covered in cheese was the ultimate croûton. Beautiful. My friend had their soup of the day, which was a meatball Florentine soup. She said it was really good. Next came the entrees. I chose the duck a l’orange, slices of perfectly cooked duck breast in a perfectly sweet orange sauce with velvety smooth and buttery mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables. Amazing. My friend got the lamb chops with a balsamic sauce, the same velvety, buttery mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables. My friend let me have a bite and it was perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and perfectly grilled. I could taste the char on the outside. And finally the dessert. We were almost stuffed, but still had room for a little dessert so we decided to share the flourless chocolate cake a la mode. It was so good. Almost pudding like, with a little nutty texture and not too sweet. So good. The chef came out to meet us. He was so nice and so friendly and you can taste the love in his dishes. I definitely recommend coming here for great French meal and great service.

The food was phenomenal! The food was so good I neglected to take some pics! Oh well. So I had the French Dip with French fries, how much more French can you get than that right? Haha! Just kidding of course. Enough jokes and to the food, my French dip and fries were great. I also had a small baby greens salad which was fresh with Ranch dressing. The gf enjoyed some of the French onion soup which was really good and Chicken Masala which was typical Chicken masala and worth ordering if your simply in the mood. The mashed potatoes accompanying the Chicken Masala were out of this world! Of course we had to save room for the Bananas foster which I highly recommend. I think I’d be inclined to give this place 5 stars if there weren’t so many delays in between each meal course. Nevertheless I’d recommend this place and I’m sure I’ll be back to try a few other items on the menu.

Our first time here and we just had a wonderful, delicious french dinner. We were both really impressed with the quality and flavor of the food. Everything tasted wonderful, good ingredients, excellent customer service, good music playing in the background and really affordable prices. We will definetly come back to try their lunch and breakfast.

This place was very good overall. We had the Brie appetizer which was quite good… However, we did find a fly in the breading :(. The server was very kind and they refunded the appetizer. We also had the soup of the day, Clam chowder, and the bouillabaisse with mussel, shrimp, and salmon. The bouillabaisse was very salty. The apple pie had crisp apple cubed with walnuts and a very thin crust.

First start by saying it is conveniently located right off the freeway exit. The inside of the restaurant is neat and clean. The waiter is very pleasant and pays attention. The spinach sirloin steak salad with shoestring onions was delicious! The second dish is the salmon with a fantastic sauce with sautéed spinach! The vegetables and mashed potatoes were also perfectly cooked. Very pleasant atmosphere with delicious fresh food cooked to order. Would highly recommend. The prices are fair. Will return!

I’m so sad to give negative feedback but I really hope this may help the establishment work towards excellence. Our food was great. Hats off to the chefs. Truly delicious. I understand that great food is not cheap. However for the prices I expect the all around experience to match. Take Paul Martins. A fine dining establishment. Ambiance, food and SERVICE. Match the $ 24 dishes. Unfortunately the ambiance felt as if I was at a dennys. Which didn’t bother me as much as the service. Which was beyond terrible. She forgot nearly everything. Hopefully the poor girl was just having an off day. But we waited sooo long to get almost anything. She forgot drinks, sides, we kept having to remind her for things. We had asked for refills and condiments and she brought them out when we were done with our meals already. I asked her for a box and she took my plate brought our check and never returned.(Btw the restaurant was empty! So she wasn’t busy by any Means. She just kept disappearing. I mean NO WHEre to be found. We could have walked out and maybe only the cooks would have noticed. Thank heavens a customer walked in and she had to seat them. I was able to ask her for my left overs after 30 min. So… I really hate writing bad reviews and I hate complaining. But I can see true potential in this restaurant. I would like to see it thrive in the city in which I live in. I hope this is taken as constructive. My fiancé served for 9 years and we know it’s challenging. But it makes or breaks a restaurant.

I was kind of worried about going here, everyone’s reviews here & elsewhere said the food was good but too expensive, but I bit the bullet & decided to try it. My husband and I both ordered from the Senior menu and got a hot roast beef sandwich($ 7.99). My daughter ordered a Pastrami Swiss burger($ 11.99). The hot roast beef sandwiches were very generous portions of roast beef on a slice of white bread cut in half, with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The gravy on the roast beef was also on the potatoes, and it was extremely good. At first, the vegetables seemed to be a little al dente for my taste but you could cut them like butter and they were very soft. Still can’t figure out how they did that. Everything seasoned well, just an outstanding meal. We both held back from picking up the plates to lick everything off of it when we were done. My daughter’s burger was huge and the cheese and pastrami was very generous with a large amount of fries. As someone who almost never finishes a meal, I knew she loved it because she ate every single bite of it. We broke down and ordered desserts. I got the Chocolate bomb(kind of a chocolate mousse with a cherry inside; it was served with some chocolate & cherry sauce on the plate and whipped cream $ 6.99), my husband ordered the Upside down Apple Walnut pie a la mode($ 7.99) and my daughter the Flourless cake($ 7.99). I had read some reviews that the flourless cake was dry and gritty, so I warned her against ordering it, but she was determined to try it. The Chocolate bomb was good, but not super sweet like I expected so I think if I order it again I’ll ask for it with ice cream. My husband wolfed down the Apple walnut pie, which had two scoops of ice cream and caramel sauce dripping all over it and he kept saying it was good, it was good in between mouthfuls. My daughter really liked the flourless cake, which was like a rich chocolate molten lava cake… there was a texture to the cake that was almonds in the batter; it was definitely not dry,(she let me taste it) and it was excellent. With two sodas(that were constantly refilled by the waiter) the whole bill came out to $ 61.47 less tip. $ 23 of that was dessert by itself. So, for the three of us, the meal and the drinks came out to $ 40. I think it was a good price for what was offered to us and although it’s not as much as I would like to spend each time for a meal, we will definitely come back when our budget is available. Excellent food. Good service.

Stuffed French Toast is great. A little crunchier than normal. Great flavor. Not overly sweet and topped with berries. The duck benedict was also delicious. Duck provided a great rich flavor that’s much better than ham. It came with potatoes which were also good. Service was excellent! Our waiter, Russell, was very friendly. He had an abundance of recommendations when asked and had good reasoning for each. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here and will definitely be back.

I’m pretty disappointed. I was extremely excited for the STUFFED French toast. We chose this place based on that. Know that now. So it starts off really good. Total four stars(not five because the coffee tasted kinda weird and they had no milk alternatives). Amber came over and was really lovely and helped us decide what else to get because we were going to share two things. It takes a little bit, which was weird because not many people were in there but we didn’t mind cause we like fresh food. We were in a bit of a hurry though because we’re on our way to knotts berry farm. So when we finally got our food we started eating right away. She comes over and we say it’s great but then when she leaves I finally realize there is NOTHING in the middle of our French toast. I thought maybe it was more towards the middle so I took another bite… Nothing. And by then I had eaten the berries so it was super dry. I take off the top piece of both sides and it was bare(see the pic. I compared another costumers picture). But amber was no where to be found. So we stop eating and wait because we heard other people come in and want to order. I figured they’d make a new one because by then it was cold. She took FOREVER. finally I see her and tell her and all she does about it was being a side of the stuffing and tell us it must have melted in the whipped cream. Even though I showed her then CLEARLY dry middle. Great. So now we can eat our cold French toast with a side of the stuffing? I have never been somewhere that didn’t offer to remake something that was their mistake. Instead she tried to make it seem like we were blind and could think the little amount of whipped cream from the TOP could somehow make the cream in the middle disappear. So by the end the French toast was cold and dry. And she did not receive the tip she would have normally gotten from me. The portobello mushroom Benedict was ok. Nothing to write home about, but not terrible. The whites were a little underdone, they still looked like raw eggs at one part. But the person I went to breakfast with loved them so that may just be preference. I will say at the beginning she did a great job keeping our coffee full. Which I loved. But that stopped when we got our food.

This place was okay. The staff was nice and that’s what kept me from leaving. I wanted brunch after a rave and checked this place out because of Unilocal.I was sad that we missed the breakfast items by 10 minutes. I really didn’t want to find somewhere else to eat. We had a large party and they did accommodate us. The staff did let us know the kitchen was behind, but we barely noticed. Another table did leave though. The food all ended up being okay. I got the calamari appetizer which was good. It came with fried jalapeños and a dipping sauce. I thought the portion was kind of small. Everyone said their burgers were blah. My best friend said his burger tasted better without the patty and with just the pastrami. I did enjoy my seafood soup, but it was a bit salty and for the price the portion of seafood was small. One mussel? Blah. The garlic bread was delicious though. My pot pie was disappointing. It was too sweet, not thick enough, and not enough chicken. It was a soup consistency and the overwhelming amount of peas was really noticeable. They did bright out a birthday crème brûlée for me with a candle and I thought that was sweet. I did enjoy myself with the company of my friends. The staff refilled waters and drinks very regularly. They communicated with us about the kitchen delays. I give the staff an A+, but the food a B-. They let my friend sub her fries for vegetables and I thought that was sweet. I wouldn’t go back when in town, but I wish the staff luck! & thank them for their service during my birthday lunch.

Drum roll please! Le Rendezvous has been a special place to us for years now. It just was not at this location. The LR in San Bernardino, exclusively evening fine dining, has now closed. But the same owner and master chef, Manny, has conceived a dream that he could better achieve at this new location. And it is closer for us! This new location has a more informal dining feel with more casual booth seating(but still some tables), and is still going through some growing pains specifically in the décor department and in getting a liquor license. But, even though it is not the romantic, candlelit establishment it used to be, be encouraged. Manny *does* have big plans. He and his wife, Linda, shared with us their long term goals of not only a «café» side, but also outdoor bistro dining and someday a romantic, fine dining side as well. We must just be patient. The good thing is, you can still experience his tried and true, spectacular culinary skills as he expands his café menu, yet still enjoy some of the specialty items that he featured on his old restaurant’s fine dining menu. But there is more good news! You can now eat breakfast and lunch here, as well as dinner, 7 days a week. The old place only did dinner and was closed on Mondays. Progress. The thing that impresses me the most, owner/chef Manny is a perfectionist, hand picking the finest steaks(try the coffee encrusted rib eye for an eye rolling experience), racks of lamb, and masterfully executing them to perfection. His beautiful wine sauces, fabulous entrée accompaniments(their mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables are the best), elegant desserts, and presentations are classic. You will recognize the faces of many of the staff, with a few new additions. Their service is still impeccable, as a fine dining restaurant is expected to be. As for breakfast and lunch, we have tried several items the 2 times we have been to the *new* restaurant. The prices for the café fare are very reasonable and the portion sizes are generous. The meatloaf lunch is very special. His recipe has very little filler, and features a low fat, Black Angus ground beef and a nice subtle herbal flavor that fooled me into thinking there was pork sausage in it. It does not. The Bordelaise mushroom sauce is made at the time of the order and goes beautifully with the meat. The Ham Benedict with sautéed spinach on a toasted croissant features a nice, thick slice of tender ham, beautifully poached eggs, a great hollandaise, and a generous side of addictive breakfast potatoes. Not easy to stop scraping the plate. Even the orange slice and strawberry should be eaten, yummy. His made-from-scratch Cream of Mushroom soup, and his French Onion soup are among the best. Soup is always a good choice. And this is also *the* place to experience your first French escargot, they are pretty garlicky, buttery wonderful. In the past I have not been a big fan of the coffee, but after this latest visit, I have changed my tune. The coffee is now quite good. We were triple teamed, the servers all made sure my coffee cup was refilled and the water glasses were kept full too. I like and encourage that«team» concept. Perhaps small things, but important in the scheme of things to me. I can only hope that as he overcomes the challenges that a new location brings, Manny can bring back his special monthly wine dinners and his lovely Sunday Brunch fare. We have also really enjoyed his special holiday meals at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. We wish him well and look forward to Manny’s new Le Rendezvous empire expanding.
