Excellent Phở. Great broth lots of noodles and vegetables. Had a side of fried rice and that was also excellent. Friend had the spring rolls and said they were good.

my favorite phở place. The only thing I have to complain about is that the manager is rude. The waiters are super nice. the food is amazing so despite the rude manager, I’ll still continue to come because I’m there for the food, not her. I always try other places to eat phở, but I can’t get over how good this place is and it makes me not want to go anywhere else! also, I forgot to mention. They take cards, but if it’s under $ 10 then they don’t. I didn’t have cash at the time(most restaurants take card without a limit besides some carry out places) and the manager rolled her eyes when I told her that I only have card! I asked if I could just add tip to it to make it over the limit in order to use it and she still was mad! I’m sorry lady, get a better card machine and don’t get mad at me! the place has tons of people coming all the time so maybe it’s time to invest in a better system.

After living in MD for 4 years now, I’ve found my favorite Phở restaurant! This place is the package deal: DELICIOUS Vietnamese food, LOW prices, FAST and FRIENDLY service. Seriously though, I’m what they call a «Phở-natic» because it’s the first thing I search out wherever I go. This is some of the best quality, authentic stuff you’ll find anywhere. Trust me, I’ve lived in Hawaii and California so I know what I’m talking about ;)

Last time I ate at An Loi, it was nearly 10 years ago. I heard it got better so I gave it a try recently with my sister on a cold winter evening. The place looked exactly the same! Service was super quick, friendly and efficient. They had a variety of dishes on their menu. some of them seemed kind of random at a vietnamese restaurant. We’ve decided to just stick with phở. Our phở came out so fast! Broth was clear and refreshing! It really hit the spot. It wasn’t salty so I really liked that. The meat was good, they actually give you a good amount even in a small bowl. Overall, the phở wasn’t anything too special, but I would go back for it if I were ever craving phở.

delicious phở, delicious rice dishes, I’ve been looking for a place similar to places back home in Texas and I’ve found it. pro tip: ask for tomato rice with your rice dishes instead of white rice

The best phở I have experienced in the area! Great quality, prices and take out process couldn’t be easier! Only wish I didn’t live 20 minutes away!

What do you do when it’s freezing outside and all you want is a bowl of hot, steaming noodles? Most of us get Phở, but we usually don’t expect it to come with a side of attitude and disrespect. I’ve given in too many times coming to this place at the request of my friends, who really don’t mind the service, but it really kicked me in the butt this time. Food? Fine, what you would expect from any other place. But let’s talk about service — never in my life have I ever experienced judgement from leaving a 15% tip. Sure, was it less than what is socially acceptable? Perhaps. But was it well deserved? Absolutely not. I should have left zero. Let’s get started. We started off with an appetizer of waiting at the door, while a cranky old Lady finally came around to seating us, simply pointed at the table as if we were supposed to know. For entrees we were served with a lack of bean sprouts and no water refills, followed by a rude removal of our bowls before we were finished. To top it all off, we had incredible glancing to our table when we thought their service did not meet our standards for basic respect. Do not come here.

I’m happy to have discovered another great Vietnamese restaurant! An Loi has everything I look for in a restaurant — great food, service, and lots of parking. I was in the mood for rolls, so I had both the spring rolls and summer rolls with chicken as my entrée. The spring rolls were perfectly crispy and had flavorful pork and shrimp filling. I really enjoyed the thai iced tea with bubbles(boba). It wasn’t too sweet which is how I like it. If it weren’t as far away from home, I’d be here a lot!

We normally order carry out and narrowed down to these favorites: Maryland chicken w tomato rice, papaya salad, and quail appetizer. I’ve heard mixed reviews about their phở and I’ve had it before but obviously not great enough for it to be memorable. Take out service has gotten worse throughout the years. Recently they would forget sauces(!) and utensils. And last time, they skimped on the portion. We got a third of an order of papaya salad, it was so disappointing — if there aren’t enough ingredients for a dish, let me know and let me decide if I want it or not. Don’t pass it off as if I wouldn’t notice because I’m ordering take-out. Smh.

Excellent phở! I work near here and will definitely be going back. The lunch crowd in the restaurant was pretty large so carry out seemed to be a good way to go. Only thing I didn’t like is they charge an extra dollar for the phở carry out container(why??) also, they put the beans and mint all in one bag if you order multiple phos, so make sure your willing to share/put your hands in the same bag as the 2nd person ordering to get your sprouts and mint… if your going to charge the extra carry out money then separate everything and make it worth the extra cost.

Today, I visited An Loi for the first time in six years. Nearby Phở Dat Thanh has gone downhill in recent years, so I decided to come back and give An Loi another try. I started with their Beef Wrapped in Grape Leaves. Initially, I noticed that the leaves were wrapped quite nicely, and that they were not messy or leaking. The leaves had a nice texture, and the beef had a comforting taste. However, the beef was a bit overcooked and a little dry. But delicious. For my meal, I first ordered a large bowl of phở– Tai Nam Chin Gan Sach(«P1»). The first thing I noticed about the bowl is that their«large» is more like a «regular», or what you would get by ordering a «small» at Phở Saigon. The second thing I noticed was that it was served warm, not tongue-burning hot like every other bowl I’ve had. I can only imagine that they do this in a smaller, lunch-style restaurant to decrease the time it takes a customer to finish his/her meal. The broth was smooth and simple– yet tasty. I feel a cold coming, and this was the perfect medicine for my throat. The noodles were cooked just right, and the sprouts, lime, jalapenos, and basil were all fresh. However, again, the beef was overcooked. I destroyed the bowl and left no survivors. The second dish I ordered(yes, I have a huge appetite, shhh) was the Hu Tieu Xao Cho Lon(«N5»). The dish was stir-fried rice noodles with egg, shrimp, chicken, fish cake, and sweet leek. There was a subtle taste of soy sauce, but the dish was a little bland overall. The fish cakes themselves were bland, but the rest of the dish was delicious. The actual dish only had about one-fifth of the sweet leeks that the dish in the menu photo had. :( Overall, the food was delicious and the taste was soothing. There is room for improvement with the beef, but I’ll give An Loi another try before making a conclusion. The service was excellent, although I ate there at 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon. I’ll be back again soon!

My second time here, and great! Phở is amazing for rainy cold days like the one I went on. and when the soup doesn’t need extra sauce you know you’re in for a treat. Food is super fast, and I appreciate that. seriously less than 5 minutes wait! The lady who seems to be in the charge of everything is kind of rude, she threw the menus on the table when we walked in. waiters however, are very pleasant, and phở places are all about services in my opinion. food is relatively cheap too, I would recommend!

I am SO surprised to see the good reviews. I’ve been here two separate occasions. Meh. First time, I ordered phở to go for a colleague and I. The soup was bland. My colleague ordered beef and I had the vegetarian. It was ALL noodles and barely any toppings. While the price of the small is good — for take out, it’s super small. Smaller than your standard small bowl. Might be different when dining in, but take out phở — is horrible. I also had the shrimp summer rolls — not fresh and mediocre. Second visit, I had the shrimp bun bowl with extra salad and no bun. They didn’t give me extra salad, and it was really boring. Just old wilted lettuce, picked carrots and bean sprouts. No cucumber, green onion or peanuts. The fish sauce was also watered down and bland. The spring rolls were not good. Super undercooked and fatty tasting. The first time, price was fair. $ 21 for two bowls of phở and summer rolls. Second time, over priced. $ 17 for shrimp bun and spring rolls. Service isn’t great. They aren’t friendly and kind of stand offish. The restaurant isn’t very clean. Not ever going back.

Good, fast and cheap. No need to settle for only two. The food is abundant, tasty and diverse. They will have items like curry, phở and kimchi, but all are good. I have only been here for lunch but they are quick to seat you, quick to take your order, quick to bring the food and slow to manage the payment process. Service is prompt and friendly, with varying levels of English fluency. I’ve also noticed that the tables, dishes, floors and bathroom are very clean. A real plus for me. I’ve been here probably 15 times and it is very consistent. Not white tablecloth/stemware/sterling silver fancy but good stuff.

Stopped in for lunch with my sister and was, per usual, delighted. Obviously it’s not the same five stars as something that costs four times as much, but I think the mother of pearl tables are pretty, the food is obscenely good, and the prices are just right. The shrimp and papaya salad appetizer and the Bun Bo Hue bowl [lemongrass, but subtle, and just spicy enough to threaten to make my nose run] were the stars of lunch. Nothing ordered here is ever less than yummy, though, and there’s generally more food than can be consumed by a single person in every entrée serving [per usual, we had leftovers]. I also appreciate, as is common with phở places, that the service is speedy and then leaves you –alone– except to refill drinks. It’s a nice change from the hovering more common in other places and it makes it easier to slurp your soup in peace.

Best phở spot in town. Been coming here for years and they never disappoint! The phở is delicious and the broth is savory. Tons of meat is always included. Plenty of delicious items to choose from also.

Sorry, a lazy review. I’ll hit the high and low though. Good food, and more options than many of the vietnamese places in the area. Include some options that you just don’t see as often, such as Phở Sate(they called it something else though). Also a nice chicken curry dish. Really liked their«B8» Bún Mon… Basically, pick any 3 of the available Bún toppings instead of just one of them… id have gotten this if it wasnt for wanting to try the curry chicken — which I really liked. Caution, chicken is definitely asian style, with bones still in it. Doesnt bother me though. Was annoyed they dont take amex. The summer rolls were a bit bland compared to others… but thats not why i go.

This place is FAST. Very simple menu. Phở and Bahn mi and a couple appetizers. Large phở bowls are ~$ 8. Service was decent. We got our drinks and order immediately, but once we got our food we didn’t see our server until we flagged him down for to-go boxes and the check. I docked a star because their phở broth was alright. It lacked the depth of flavor good phở broths have. Still solid but not my favorite phở.

We enjoy the friendly casual atmosphere, the polite and professional service and the tasty phở plus appetizer spring rolls here. The summer roll with grilled pork is definitely the one to get. Dip in peanut sauce, add a generous helping of Sriracha, and it is a proper taste explosion! Definitely get the Vietnamese iced coffee, dripped right at your table in to sweetened condensed milk, and your heart will start racing. We find this is a necessary precursor to snarf down a huge bowl of phở. The best part is the friendly grandmother type who takes your empty plates and says something or another in extremely limited English. I think she appreciates the fact that we definitely appreciate the food! Perhaps she was impressed with my chop sticks and phở-snarfing skills! Whatever the case, thanks for the wonderful meals! We’ll return again and again!
