My mom and I flew out here to Maryland from LA this morning to visit my sister For her birthday and my sister suggested that we come here, Bob Evans. we were greeted IMMEDIATELY by the assistant general manager, Kevin Langhorn, who was SUCH A SWEETHEART. He was SO friendly, courteous, funny and was so down to earth. Our waitress, I can’t lie, I didn’t catch her name however, she was very nice as well. The entire staff was very friendly to be perfectly honest. The food was fresh, hot and was served in a decent time. I promise you this, when I do come back to Maryland, I will ALWAYS come back to this location.

I’m not one to post negative comments but I have to say our experience with this restaurant was subpar. The service was not very good, the food took forever when there were not many people, the food was cold, and everyone had their order messed up. We were extremely disappointed with the lack of competency. Who knows where the management was. Not coming back here again, sorry.

Disappointing. Problem: Short of staff. The wait was too long and the waitress was not very attentive or was too busy to look after her customers.

We were being seated for our table of 5. The hostess brought us to a table with 3 chairs. We had to grab 2 chairs from an empty table. We did not have flatware or placemats and they were out of coffee. One of our party had to wait 15min just to get a cup of coffee. It was brought by a random waitress. It had grounds and we were not given a spoon. We asked for a spoon, and we asked for flatware. The waitress said«Hey, I’m just doing a favor» while walking off. She brought back a single spoon. Several tables came and left, we still had not been served. My brother went to check in with a woman at the counter. When she realized that we did not have place settings or flatware. After she left, the guy bussing the table next to us had placed his bussing bin too close to the table’s edge, so it slipped off the table, splashing fluids and food everywhere. He apologized. She brought them to us. The manager, who was our waiter, apologized for the wait and said that. We were coming up soon. After we finished the trivial pursuit game available on the Heinz ketchup bottle, our food was brought to us. The salad did not have dressing and they informed us at the table that they were out of crepes, so they brought us French toast. At least the hot food was hot, so that was okay. We were not comped anything on the bill, which would have been appropriate. This was my first and most likely my last trip to a Bob Evans. I really don’t see what all the fuss is about.

I come here too much. But I love breakfast & Bob Evans always has good food. Some of the waiters/waitresses are ok, others that have been there for quite some time are great.

Came here for the first time yesterday because Ihop was an hour wait, and it was just ok. The wait was around 20 minutes, but when we got seated, there were empty tables all around us. Our waitress was friendly enough. Few minutes passed, 2 other tables, with 2 gentlemen each, sat down, placed their order, and 5 minutes later their food came out. Mind you, it was just me, hubby and our toddler. Our food came out about 5 minutes later, 1 at a time between 3 different servers. Okay. We asked the second server lady dressed in a blue collar shirt with black pants if we can get some ketchup and hot sauce. She came back with about 5 packets of ketchup and dumped it on our table. Hubby and I looked at each other like we were at some fast food restaurant. Who dumps packets of ketchup at a sit down restaurant. Anyways, it wasnt enough so we asked our original server if we can have the bottle, they were out, so she brought us more in a small dish. At this point, we already knew this would be our first and last time here. I’d rather wait the hour at ihop for better food. The food here was mediocre. I needed like 10 packets of ketchup and half a bottle of hot sauce just to try and finish my plate. Food was just okay.

Slow cooked pork dinner with broccoli, two cokes, and two rolls for under 10 bucks. Well worth it plus friendly service. Not gourmet by any means.

Pluses: its clean and service is relatively quick. Negatives: the food just isn’t as flavorful as I’ve had at other Bob Evans. Also, the place is somewhat of a mausoleum. Finally, the hostess was quiet to the point of hostility. I just cannot justify a third star.

My parents got me hooked on Bobby Evans as the prefer to call it a long time ago. They have a lot of my favorites on the menu like Grits and their sausage :). They are a chain and like any other chain there standards are pretty much the same at all locations. I like them as my go to breakfast place. I like the fact that you can get what ever is on the menu at any time of the day. This location is clean and the staff are friendly. Sorry I don’t have much more to say beyond that. It wasn’t bad and the prices are just right. So for cheap fast sit down breakfast it does the job.

Service was good food was hot and fresh kids and pancakes with hash browns. The hash browns was a very small portion. They also offer healthier choices such as a whole grain pancakes and sugar free syrup. Restaurant was clean seating happens fast with not much of a wait. Over all I had an ok experience.

My friend, husband and I went here for brunch one day and the overall experience wasn’t bad but I wasn’t too impressed with my food. My friend and I both had burgers and weren’t happy with the actual beef meat, it tasted like it had come out of the freezer. My husband had eggs, hash browns and pancakes and seemed quite happy with his meal. I guess the key would have been to have breakfast and not lunch. There was a short wait when we arrived but overall for as busy as it was our service was decent.

This place is your standard, fairly busy, Bob Evans. The three star rating is solely based on the server you get. Might be a 4 or 5, could be a 1 or 2, I have all servers there. Talked to managmenet and they seem eager to make things better, I’ll update the review as the situation dictates.

I have had a lot of bad customer service experiences here. From horrible waitresses to simply being understaffed… never any problems with the food. I like their pancakes and bean soup the best! Just beware, you could be sitting waiting for your food or check for quite some time.

It was just okay. Our waitress was very sweet and the food was okay, but not anything special. My soda was a bit flat, and fries were cold, but sandwiches was okay.

Do not carry out unless you want to wait at the counter for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledges you. 3 managers who are incompetent of providing good customer service just stand at the front arguing who should take what shift.

We waited a little less than half an hour before finally being seated, and that was after reminding the lady in charge of seating that people were being sat ahead of us. The, it was another 10 minutes before we flagged a waiter to our table. To be fair though, from what I heard there was a staffing issue– the language was very vague, but I think the manager or cook was missing. So it’s entirely possible that you won’t have this problem. However, it doesn’t reflect well on the staff’s integrity.

Hmmm what can it tell you about this place? Their food looks average, but it’s actually pretty good. Everything always tastes fresh. Their hash browns are to die for !

My rating is based on our overall experiences here in the past. On our last visit, we did not have utensils on our table at the time our food was presented so I asked for some. The waitress left and proceeded to clear two tables before even moving towards the area of where they keep the utensils. I had to meet her halfway to get them in an effort to begin eating before our breakfast turned cold.

Pleasantly surprised. I’m pretty picky about breakfast & not usually a fan of chain restaurants, but sometimes a pregnant girl has gotta eat! My husband was shocked when I told him to drive to Bob Evans, but it was a weekend morning and I didn’t feel like driving to Double T or Linthicum Luncheteria and couldn’t handle a wait at Eggspectations. It looked very busy, but tables were being turned around quickly and we only waited a few minutes at the hostess station before being seated. Our waiter was friendly and service was quick. While the food didn’t blow me away, everything was cooked as it should’ve been and tasted good. The only thing we weren’t crazy about were the hashbrowns and they were just boring, but not awful. I would definitely go back for a fast, cheap breakfast.
