This was our first time and definetly not our last! We were greeted with a nice young man who was happy to answer all of our questions. All four of us had different meals and we were all so pleased, the best humus and pita bread I have ever tasted, I also had a Greek salad that was so fresh it was as if the lettuce was just picked from the garden. My husband had the Gyro with fries, We all shared off of his plate and the fries were perfect. He said his Gyro was chocked full of meat and very tasty. For desert we had red velvet cheesecake and baklava, Sinfully Good! With food and service this good, I really hope they are around a long time. I loved the atmosphere too! Great JOB!!!

Delicious! We went for lunch and I had the lamb gyro plate with a side salad. My husband had the original chicken sandwich. The food was very fresh and the service was excellent. The restaurant itself is clean and nicely decorated. This is a great place to go if some members of your group are picky/not into trying new cuisines(my husband!). The menu has plenty of American food options for them. I can’t wait to go back to try their dinner entrees(and perhaps some of the yummy looking pastries!).

What a wonderful place. We were greeted with a welcome upon entry. The first thing my eyes laid on were the beautifully presented bakery goods, so lovely. Phillip was a very helpful and professional host. I brought to his attention that the hours of business was not correct on Unilocal l, he went right away to inform the boss. I appreciate that he cared enough for the business because we almost didn’t go because we thought it was closed. The food was delicious and what I was hoping for. The falafel plater was beautiful and delicious. We also got two of the gyros which where soooooo very yummy! Pictures are posted. Go take a look!

Falafel Plate was absolutely delicious! I was a little afraid to try it but Omg. I’m so happy I did because I would have missed out. My co-workers had the sandwich and there is not a bite left. Oh and the cheesecake!!! I’m a happy lady!

I’ve tried a several items on the menu and am overall pleased with the food. The hummus is great-so good in fact that we ordered a large bowl to serve at a party and it was a big hit. The gyros-both the lamb and the beef– are excellent. Falafel was the best I’ve ever had and the display of pastries looks amazing. The only miss I’ve had with food was the stuffed peppers, which were extremely bitter and had to be thrown out and the Greek salad that would have been good had it been dressed. I have never dined in the restaurant because I have small children and it is often easier to pick up than dine in. While the menu advertises that you can call ahead for extremely fast pick up, I have found myself waiting very long time for my food every time I place an order by phone. Last week I attempted to call ahead and order dinner and the phone was busy for 30 minutes and then I had to wait another 30 when I arrived at the restaurant. So, while I like the food, the pickup option could be greatly improved.

Enjoyed the food here. I ordered the Veggie Gyro with a side salad. The staff was friendly and great atmosphere. The gyro had tons of flavor and a good amount of sauteed vegetables. I will definitely be coming back.

Very nice first experience and glad to have another good, well priced international option on Decker Blvd. Very warm and comfy café area ambiance but the dining area is a bit sterile. Main dishes are $ 6.99 and portions are generous at that price. Two of my party asked for doggie bags. I’m always leery about pre cooked food but my dining partners were pleased. My dish was cooked to order and was as hot as I always like my food. I agree with another writer; ditch the American menu and concentrate on the traditional Libyan food. Didn’t do dessert this time, looked good though and again, prices seemed low. Definitely returning.

They are still working out some kinks in terms of the menu and keeping items available. However, we had a delicious meal here. The owner is kind and eager to talk with you about the food. I suggest just walking in and seeing what is on display. You’ll end up with a plate of tasty and authentic food at a very fair price.

Okay, this spot has a lot of great potential and I would LOVELOVELOVE for it to stick around, so I’m going to be detailed in our joint opinions and suggestions. Coffee and bakery area have a wonderful vibe going on. We were very warmly greeted by the young man at the bakery counter who could tell we were new. My PSL was excellent. Mildly spiced, perfectly sweet, with a fantastic creamy foam. Their bakery selections looked delicious. We stopped in for lunch, and there were a few people in the coffee area. My husband got the burger combo and I got the gyro combo. I’m not sure why they have American food on the menu, because if the burger he had was standard for them, then they need a lot of work or to just get rid of the American basics. It was tiny and greasy. The menu referred to the burger as «big and juicy». Um… no. It might have been 2 ounces of greasy beef. The fries were hot, and cooked and seasoned well, but again, just basic frozen crinkle cut. Meh. However, my lamb gyro was delicious. The meat was preformed gyro style, hot, generously sized with a reasonable amount of fresh sauce and some veggies and feta. I’d love to see more onion, tomatoes, lettuce and some kalamatas on it, but as it was, it was very good. The wrap was soft, hot, pillowy, and fresh. I suspect their Mediterranean dishes are outstanding, and their American staples just exist to fill a void that they imagine they have(they don’t). They don’t need the American stuff… focus on the real food. Some additional small notes that may help them stick around: Have real brewed tea(not the Nestea stuff I had at lunch) and real glasses(we ate lunch… maybe they have non-disposable adult size cups at dinner?). Heck, maybe even some wonderful fresh brewed tea with mint over ice would be fantastic and keep with the Mediterranean food menu. Make sure to bring drinks and silverware to the table quickly, rather than after the meal is served. Also, there was some kind of music or radio blaring but it wasn’t coming from the speaker system, and it was not pleasant. It wasn’t loud… it was almost like it was coming from the kitchen. Also, pick one decorative style, preferably the one that is in the coffee/bakery area. That area is rich, warm, Mediterranean, woodsy and welcoming. Keep it going over to the deli/restaurant section, which currently has an amusement park feel to it. So, if they can get their act down pat and smooth out some rough edges, they will quickly become a favorite stop!

I am so excited to have Boeshreen in Columbia– the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Great selection for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike with a very attractive desert case that I will definitely be revisiting! The owners and chef talked to us and asked us how our meal was– they explained dishes we weren’t familiar with and were very warm and friendly. I can’t wait to go back and bring other friends– I’m thrilled to be able to eat good Mediterranean food in Columbia!

Food & Service were superb. The owner interacts with customers and offers authentic food at a reasonable price. The homemade tiramisu was incredibly delicious! Will definitely be frequenting the restaurant and café on a regular basis.

Super-friendly folks, delicious food at a great price! Nice servings, I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish but… Umm the meal disappeared… We will definitely be back for more! And I had to have some tasty pastries too. The almond baklava was super-good.

Loved our dinner there of delicious Libyan food this evening. The lamb, soup(both lentil and Libyan were fabulous), garbanzo and onion side, white beans, and eggplant squares were worth a future return trip. The wait staff were friendly and attentive(coming by our table to check on how we liked the food), and the décor is intriguing. My favorite parts of the décor are the historical signs near the door about the café in Libya. Oh, and the other great news is that Decker Blvd now has a café as well. One half of Boeshreen is restaurant and the other half is a café with a full coffee and dessert menu. We ordered crème baklava, sesame cookies, and regular baklava to take home and devoured the desserts immediately. I will order all of them again. Double thumbs up for this addition to the Columbia dining scene, and lucky us that it’s our neighborhood.

It’s so pretty inside… You forget what side of town you’re on! Everyone was super attentive and kept making sure we were doing well. It’s cafeteria style ordering which isn’t always aesthetically appealing, but everything looked good-not great — but not«I don’t want to eat that» I’m glad we moved forward! You get a choice of Libyan or lentil soup with your dish, then you pick rice, vermicelli, or couscous as your base and top it with your choice of garbanzo stew, vegetable stew & one other. We had the couscous with garbanzo stew and rice with vegetable stew. They sure were tasty! You get a side on top of that and have the option to add a protein. We got stuffed peppers as the sides and roasted chicken. The peppers were a little bland but salt is a good thing! The chicken was well seasoned. All in all, I’d go again. They gave us tabouli salad, bread and their hot chili sauce on the side at no cost. It’s a lot of food for around $ 11 a plate! One thing… I would love the food to be HOT and not on the warm side. Looking forward to trying the coffee. I recognized one of the barristas from a different coffee shop in town so you’ll be in good hands. Took some pastries to-go… Will update you later :-)

This is a very interesting new Mediterranean restaurant on Decker Blvd. opened by the family that has owned and operated a chain of same-named restaurants in Libya since 1925. The pastries and coffee are great with choices not available elsewhere in Columbia. I cannot wait to try the meals! They have put a lot of money and work onto opening a very nice space for a meal or hanging out with a coffee.
