I finally tried this place and will be back! We ordered the corned beef sandwich and the prosciutto sandwich. Both were fresh and delicious. I also noticed they have some specialty root beer, ginger beer, birch beer, etc. The staff was friendly. The place was clean. The food is great. I can see why this place has such a high rating.

After eating at this place I must say… Panera Bread? Never heard of her… If you want a great soup/sandwich, this is under the place. You will be greeted at the door with the scent of fresh bread!

The staff is super friendly. They were very sweet and helpful when my friend said it was his first time. They let him try the soups. The sandwiches are yummy, I think I was a little disappointed though because al of my friends hyped this place so much. I think what makes it is the bread, the bread is SO good. I’ll be back to try more sandwiches!

I can make the sandwiches at home but better. Anyone can take a croissant and make a sandwich there was nothing special about this place

I love this restaurant. We have used them for a large catering job and were so pleased. People liked their sandwiches so much we had zero leftovers. I watched at least 3 guests eat 3 sandwiches. Everything I’ve had is amazing, I am partial to the London Broil. Yes it’s busy here, but that’s because it’s awesome. If people are unhappy about crowds maybe they should stop telling other people about how good it is!

Went back for their well renown london broil and this time I opted for two side dishes, I got a side of potatoe salad and a side of cous-cous. FYI, their sides are 50 cents each, not sure why they dont make a bigger deal about that, I can’t think of another place with sides that cheaply priced. London broil sandwich was excellent, very moist, good portion of steak and wasn’t fatty. The potato salad was a nice compliment, very potato-ey not mayonnaise-ey. I wasn’t feeling the cous cous, not enough flavor for me. Service was quick as always, prices were reasonable and the place fills out quickly.

After eating here, I will never step foot in a Panera again. This place is amazing!!! I had the curry chicken salad… full of flavor and fresh ingredients. The bread… oh the bread… crusty and chewy. Perfect. I have a grilled veggie sandwich for later and I can’t wait!

Found this place on a whim and I’m so glad I did. The wife really wanted to try this place and it didn’t disappoint. The London Broil is their signature and I would definitely recommend it. Chicken Caesar salad is great, and I can also recommend the Reuben. Also they always serve warm bread which has amazing flavor.

Breads are made from scratch and baked fresh at the store. Our ciabattas are crispy on the outside; warm/buttery/soft on the inside. The inside is sort of like a sour dough but better. The breads definitely made our pork loin sandwich 100 times better. When you first bite into it, you feel the crisp of the bread and then as you chew, you taste the savory pork loin and perfectly seasoned olive spread. We had Pork Loin Sandwich, Veggie Soup, and 4-topping salad(with a side of ciabattas). All for under $ 20!!! This place deserves 5 stars. Service was great and it’s a family owned place. Oh and I also enjoyed the smell of freshly baked bread.

I stopped during the lunch break of a nearby conference. Everyone else was heading out to fast food, but Unilocal tipped me off to this little gem tucked in a commerce park. I arrived at peak lunch time and there was a bit of a line, but the wait was quite reasonable and the employees were working hard and efficiently to get out the food quickly. I took the advice of several Unilocal hints and tried the London Broil. Oh MY! It was a very tasty and very hearty sandwich. Everything I saw come out looked fresh and tasty. There wasn’t much seating available but people were friendly and making it work. If I lived in the area I am sure this would quickly become a lunch staple.

The sandwiches are fresh and tasty. The bread is made on premises, and the baguettes and ciabatta are great foundations for their food. The owner’s a really nice guy who interacts with his customers constantly. Better than average lunch stop, and a great local alternative to Panera or Au Bön Pain when you want a salad, soup, or sandwich on the run.

So good I went back twice! I gave Bön Fresco a try last night. It’s in a strip mall, relatively easy to find. Based on Unilocaler recommendations, I went with the Picante Chicken Breast. It has chicken breast, hot pepper cheese, roasted red peppers, grilled vegetables, and hot sauce, served warm on ciabatta bread. It had great flavor and was definitely spicy! I was really happy to wash it down with a rarely found birch beer from the fountain! They also have Boylan’s soda in glass bottles. I also treated myself to a warm chocolate filled croissant for dessert that was really good. As a I said, it was so good that I went back tonight. Going off recommendations from Unilocal and the Bön Fresco staff, I chose the London Broil. I really liked the rare London Broil steak, and it was well complimented by the melted provolone, mixed greens, and onions. They make really good ciabatta bread. Overall, Bön Fresco was a great place to go. Friendly staff, great food, and reasonable prices are a good combination. I’ll definitely be back!

I stopped by here today for lunch with a coworker arriving shortly after 1PM. After quickly perusing the menu I proceeded to the cash register and ordered a hummus sandwich and a capri sandwich. I then turned around to see if there were any open tables and there was none. Granted this place only has 27 seats(4 — 4 tops, 4 — 2 tops and bar at a window that seats 3) so that wasn’t too surprising. Luckily a couple of tables got up while we were waiting the 5 minutes or so for our food and we ended up securing one of the vacated tables. The capri sandwich consisted of prosciutto, genoa salami, capicola, provolone, lettuce, roasted red peppers, banana peppers, onions and a vinaigrette all on a ciabatta roll. It was a pretty awesome sandwich with both the bread and the nice selection of meats sharing the role as stars. Meanwhile the hummus sandwich consisted of artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers and hummus on a foccacia bread. Like the capri sandwich, the bread for this sandwich ended up being really good. While the hummus was good on this sandwich, I was quite disappointed with the small amount of artichokes and red peppers on each. Basically there was a single piece of artichoke on each side as well as one red pepper. That means that most of my time was spent eating only focaccia and hummus. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I loved their breads and meats and thought that the prices were fair too.

All i have to say is potato salad. Its ammmaaazzziinng it makes me sad they only give you small portions of it. The sandwiches are of great quality. I had the london broil and the meat was tender the ciabatta bread held up to all the fillings so i could get through the sandwich without it falling apart. I highly recommend people come here for lunch. The only con is this place is kind of hidden in a strip mall and because the food is so good its always packed in their small dining room. So order ahead and get extra potato salad!

Was in Maryland for a short business trip. For the two days that I was here, a co-worker and I came by here for lunch, and we don’t regret it. When I first walked in, I noticed how clean it is. A few small tables and chairs, but all matched, and it was a good seating area. Most people seemed to be taking the orders to go, while a few stayed to sit down. Brought me good memories when I was working in a bakery during my college years. While trying to figure out what I wanted, the staff(who I believe are the owners) would ask if I needed assistance or if I was ready to order. I ordered the London Broil the first day, and the Genoa the second day. My co-worker ordered the salami and cheese on both days(yes, that’s right. He enjoyed it so much that he had it again the next day). It took around 6 to 10 minutes, and then we got our orders on both days. My co-worker ordered a drink, where he went to the back to refill his cup. Lids and straws are next to the fountain machine, too. The London Broil is awesome. As a carnivore, I was pleased. All those meats, the cheese, the greens, the crispy, warm bread, and the sauce. perfect combination. Fresh, portioned well, very savory, and I didn’t feel too fat or too hungry afterwards. Just perfectly satisfied. If I ate something else, I probably would’ve went into a food coma. For the Genoa that I had on my second day, there was definitely a lot of sodium mostly because of the salami and the Italian dressing. The cheese helped bring the sodium levels to a duller ocean wave, but, yes, it will be a little salty. But, still very good, very tasty, and tasted very fresh. My co-worker enjoyed his salami and cheese, though I couldn’t really get much description out of him because he wouldn’t stop eating his sandwich to talk to me about it. Prices are very reasonable. $ 6.95 for a sandwich? Heck yes. They also have salads and soups, as well as platters. STARTRANT. Yes, they are going to have a lunch rush because their food is THAT awesome. And, guess what? It’s likely that you will hear the phone ring for a good number of times before it is picked up because the staff is trying to finish the orders for the customers that waited patiently in line. But you know what is unfair? People may complain that the owners have bad customer service because they’re not picking up the phone, even though they’re trying to respect the people who DROVE to their bakery by servicing them first. Seriously, you cannot catch a break at all if you own a business because you’ll likely be damned if you do and damned if you didn’t. I saw this so often during my college years with the café that I worked at. ENDRANT. Anyways, Bön Fresco, keep up the excellent work! Being in the food industry is never easy, but props to you for still bringing awesomeness in your food!

Bön Fresco… Look no further for your local sandwich shop! Bön Fresco is located in a strip mall in Columbia, right off of Snowden. It is pretty small inside so if you come at a busy time, you may not find a seat. Once you find it and enter Bön Fresco, you are smacked in the face by some great bakery/deli smells, baked bread to be one of the best! After you get past the great smells, the order counter is right in front of you with a large wall menu right behind. They offer sandwiches, soups, salads and a couple other items. The way their menu works is they offer 4 – 6 combinations, but you can do them several different ways. An example of this is their chicken sandwich, it can come as a hot one, a bon fresco one, or even a salad. They also offer some great sandwiches for vegetarians, like a grilled veggie sandwich, which the Missus said was great. The meat of the veggies are great, but the thing that makes, trully makes any of their sandwiches is the BREAD! it is unreal, the ciabiatta bread is amazing. Crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. Bread is really outstanding! Would come here just for the bread! I have not only had their sandwiches so I can not speak to their soups and salad, but I have taken a baggette to go, and it was killer! Bön Fresco, such a great place to sit, relax and have some great great food! Just watch out for the crowds!

4.5 stars and because it is a beautiful day AND the leaves are falling off the trees so beautiously I will give it 5 stars! Woohooo! So…I have heard, pretty awesome things about this place, and I love me a good sammich, so I had to try it out. Here it go. Located on Oakland Mills Road in a random shopping center, if you are driving away from Snowden you will see the back of the store on your right. I’m not sure if you would know it is there otherwise. The interior is small, a total of about eight or so tables and a high table by the window. The menu is pretty dope, from fresh salads, sandwiches, soups, desserts and platters. They have the regular bon fresco sandwiches and the picante sandwiches that have added heat. On this date, I got the picante chicken sandwich, which comes with a grilled chicken breast, hot pepper cheese, roasted red peppers, grilled veggies and caramelized onions. I think each of the picante sandwiches come with a sauce with spicy hot peppers, and they are all served on ciabatta bread. Wowza. Holy party in my mouth Batman! That sandwich was good. The freshness of the bread(which is made in house BTW) and the flavors of the roasted peppers, and the grilled veggies just took this over the top! I’m a spice fiend, and was raised around West Indians, sooo I can’t really say that it was spicy, but it didn’t matter to me, as everything just went well with each other. I will have to say that the chicken itself was just okay, without all the fixin’s. But seriously, I don’t think anyone comes to just eat the roasted chicken. It is an awesome deal, as you can get a full sandwich, which is hummongo and a side for less than ten bucks. Pair that with awesome staff and you have a winner! I will definitely be back to try others, I hear the London Broil is awesome sauce!
