The food was disappointing and overpriced for the surprisingly low quality Champs usual fare. We have been to different Champs locations before and the food, service, and atmosphere were not up to their usual standards. I ordered the Caesar salad and bleu cheese burger and my wife ordered the BBQ chicken salad. The fries tasted like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for hours and the burger tasted precooked and microwaved. The plates and utensils were all dirty and the service was very slow. In general the entire establishment was dingy and dirty, with very few customers on a Friday night at 6:30 pm. We do not recommend.

Stick to bar food and you’ll probably do better. Service? No one asking whether you want a refill or water or anything after taking your order? You be the judge.

This place has gone down hill. I used to love the food. This time the wings are over fried and greasy, EVERYTHING was sticky, and they no longer have many of my favorite items. The service was terrible. Apparently, one of the bar waitresses took it upon herself to send the other server home, so the bar was under staffed. There didn’t appear to be a bus boy on duty. We won’t be back.

Used to like this place, service coming down and food as well. Got burgers they were good but fries were cold and few. Had Cobb salad, one sad slice of avocado Smells funky they need to clean the carpets.

Worst Service ever! So at the beginning it was fine. We got seated fast. The waitress name was Susan. She was okay. Kind of didn’t know what she was doing. I asked what kind of Teas did they have and she had no idea. I said«Do you have any flavors? Peach, mango, etc» She said«Oh yeah I think we have those?!?» Like you think!!! Not to be mean but that’s the way you make your money so you should know what you have at your place of work. Next we ordered our food. My boyfriend got his appetizer as his meal and I got a burger. They brought out his food in 15 mins. But not mine. Then I asked and the lady about mine and she said I’ll go see. She never came back I waited 45 – 50 mins later. As I was waiting for my burger I asked our waitress if I could get a refill and she was like you will have to pay for it. I got a simple mango tea. I’m not asking anything for free but I’m waiting for an hour for a burger and I can’t even get a simple drink!!! I got my burger that was BURNT! I’m never one to complain because I actually really liked Champps. But you wait that long and receive a simple thing like a burger that was burnt and the bun was, as well. My boyfriend was a little heated after that. We asked for the check and paid for our meal. And he said«We are never going back there again.» It’s sad when you go someone where you like and it’s all so wrong.

Went here Saturday night after a movie for a quick bite. Mrs. W. and I ordered a sampler platter appetizer to split. The food and the service were equally horrendous. I wasn’t expecting excellent food from a chain sports bar, but I was expecting at least one item on the platter to be at least remotely palatable. Our server dropped off our drinks and walked away. To her credit I will say that she kept swinging by to tell us that she was still waiting on our platter as that took roughly 32 minutes. After the food came out though, we never saw her again(at least not at our table). I waited nearly 12 minutes to even as for my check until I grabbed her colleague who got us he check right away. We couldn’t get he hell out of the place soon enough. I am never going back there, if I want crappy food I’ll just have Mrs. W. cook, at least she will ask me how her cooking tastes and if I need anything else.

Surprisingly decent food for a sport bar. Came here after the movie for a bite to eat. We had margarita flat bread, calamari and tuna tartar. The margarita flat bread and calamari are their 2 favorite appetizer, so we figure we try it. Tuna is good, but they loaded with a lot of raw big pieces of onions.

This is a review of John(nose ring) and not the restaurant as a whole. He’s one of the better bartenders I’ve ever had. Where the restaurant fails, he does his best to pick up the slack. I wanted to rate the restaurant low like so many others, but couldn’t with somebody trying as hard as they could to get the establishment what it should be capable of getting. Bottom line, eat at the bar, ask for John, and pray you get the service you deserve, as he tends, waits, and busses in the absence of less capable management or staff. Otherwise, just hope you get taken care of, and that you’re lucky

Nice chill place to hangout while getting the car worked on. The Bloody Mary’s don’t suck that’s for sure. TV’s on every wall and a decent layout with a window view to the kitchen. You’ve gotta love places you can see the chefs make your food. The bar side is a good size with a decent selection of beer.

Sat at the bar. Ordered food. Food came 40 minutes later. The bartenders have to get the food themselves while that tall bald headed manager Robbie stands around! We left. We won’t be back.

So recently we went to Champps because Cheesecake’s wait was too long. I being the optimist that I am kept an open mind to settling for Champps. We had a server named Patrick. Patrick was cool, but kept it too casual. Referring to all of the males in the group as «man». Soccer games(Arg vs Bolivia) &WNBA all star game were on the televisions. My step dad attempted to order a blue moon, however they were out. He settled for another beer after a beer sommelier gave him a free sample. For appz we got spinach artichoke dip and mozzarella sticks, both were great. Food came out at a decent pace. Partrick spills water on the table as he’s setting food on the table. I got the Carolina burger that came with waffle fries. My fries were cold. It tasted exactly like what you would expect bar food burger and fries would taste like. I wasn’t impressed to say the least. Overall-Patrick provided good customer service. With a little bit of formal training I think he’d be a fantastic waiter. Food was meh. Nothing I would ever crave. Champps is essentially any other bar, with a lot of tv’s. I would say if you want to go out to watch a game, go here and only order the appetizers.

Conveniently located at Columbia mall. The food is typically great. There’s a bar and plenty of TVs. My recent visit, the salmon was over cooked to the point of being dry and had chunks of peppercorns on it. I ordered the same thing previously and the salmon was moist, flavorful and the sauce was perfection. Not sure what happened this time, but I was thoroughly disappointed. Also, the desert menu needs to be revamped. It’s honestly subpar.

Love their«Spud Skins» They have a mid and late night happy hour which is ALWAYS good. Whenever I had an issue with food, they have always made up for it by comping that dish, and there hasn’t been many issues with that. I think people who come here need to realize that yes, this has nice, big bar, and great happy hour, but it’s also connected to a HUGE mall and very popular movie theater. So if service is slow, deal with it. At the end of the day, they are human beings, doing the best they can do. If you are looking for a fast bar service, go to a bar! :)

We went to see the Wizards game and sat at the bar. The place was busy but not crowded. Service at the bar was horrible. The bartender kept flying by ignoring us, even thou we were trying to get his attention. We understood he was busy and we were not demanding, but SOME basic service would’ve been nice. We ordered a couple of apps and drinks. Nothing out of this world. We would’ve ordered more food items if it weren’t so hard to flag the bartender down. The bartender made the whole experience uncomfortable by blatantly ignoring us. We finally left before the game ended because it was not a fun experience at all!

This is a typical sports bar chain restaurant. TVs on every wall food, its basically American sports bar fare. The burgers are great. The salads are very good. Today I had the BBQ chicken salad with i believe a chipotle ranch dressing. The salad was good, the dressing I wasn’t a big fan of. I could tell it was a homemade dressing but it had a lot of mayo and I’m not a big mayo fan. next time I’ll probably just order the salad with another type of dressing. It was not very crowded Friday lunchtime. But I can imagine on the weekends or football Sundays this place is probably packed. So unless you like a lot of people with a lot of noise I recommend avoiding these places on the weekends. Other than that the choice of food is very good, the drinks are very good. I would recommend this place

Meet some friends after work for paint night. I arrived to late to participate in paint night, so while I waited for them to finish I ordered a drink and some food. I got the turkey wrap with avocado and their house made kettle chips. The food was descent nothing that left me wanting to come back for more. What really made the loose stars was the service was slow considering that restaurant was bare! I know paint night was going on but that only took up about a ¼ of the establishment. The rest of the bar area was scarce with 2 bar tenders on. It took at least a half hour to get my food order. They look like they would be good for game days however not sure if I would want to return considering how long it took to get food on a slow day.

I don’t think I’ve ever experienced slower service than here. I came with a friend for their late night happy hour($ 1 off cocktails, $ 3 domestic pints, $ 5 appetizers). The restaurant was pretty sparse and the bar wasn’t quite full, but it took us a good 15 minutes before anyone was able to attend to us. Our food and drinks took even longer. The time our drinks reached us to the time our 3rd app reached us was at least 45 minute’s length of time. I wasn’t very mad because the bartender was super nice and apologetic about everything. I actually felt really bad for her because she was running from one side to the other, tending to everyone on all sides of the oval-shaped bar by herself, handing out take-out boxes to one group and turning around to make drinks for another. There was actually a group of employees seated at a table by the bar who were eating and talking and enjoying themselves. I understand they may not have been allowed to help her, but it was pretty discouraging to see. I ordered a blackberry mojito. I would highly recommend that you not do the same. It was way, way, way too sweet and all you could really taste was sugar. The food, on the other hand, I had no complaints about. We had the chips and queso, wings with buffalo sauce, and chicken bacon flatbread. It wasn’t life-changing, or even really all that good, but it was a step above decent. The only thing that stood out was that, for no apparent reason, our flatbread was cut into long, extremely thin strips. Why?! Our bill for a couple of drinks and 3 apps was ~$ 30. In spite of everything, the okay food and the broke-college-student-friendly bill means I wouldn’t be opposed to coming here again.

I come here occasionally to watch a few sports games with friends while grabbing some food and drinks. The food is good and the service is alright. It’s located on a row of other restaurants and right next to a movie theater so it’s usually pretty crowded, especially during weekend evenings. They have a decent amount of TV’s in the bar area, and a huge projector screen on the other side of the restaurant for those dining in. Recently, I had the Rib Eye steak and it was amazing. It was very tender and perfectly seasoned. I was actually surprised to bite into such a quality piece of meat at what’s normally marketed as a sports bar. Also, they have an awesome $ 5 appetizer deal after 10pm at the bar! I love taking advantage of this because most of their appetizers are good, like their quesadillas and nachos, and their servings are huge.
