Really bad experience. Wanted to like the place but management was so disrespectful & rude. Had nothing but chicken but knew a full party was coming. The lady was sweet but the man with dreads ended up yelling at my party. So unprofessional & clearly unfit to have a business with customers. Won’t ever be back. Totally horrible service for ok food.

The atmosphere when the music is playing on the screen may not be for everyone(although I liked it), but they are friendly to everyone here and the food is very very good. I had the jerk chicken and it just fell off the bone. Best jerk chicken I’ve ever had.

The jerk chicken was too spicy to taste. The lunch buffet was lacking, the service was horrible(very unprofessional and intrusive at same time).

An excellent concept poorly executed; my entire dining experience was two hours long; I ran out of things to talk about(that never happens) and the teenagers at the table next started taking pictures of eachothers’ phones, weird. Having worked in restaurants a long time I’m one of the better, more understanding customers but this was the first time I thought about leaving before what I ordered made it to the table. We sat around 6:30 on Saturday and there were only a couple other tables sat. Despite the ‘no-rush’ situation it took almost an hour for them to bring the wrong plate(I think it was a confused take out order) to our table and another 20 – 30 minutes to bring out the right ones. You might think so far — wow three stars when all he’s done is rail the service in this place. Well, my friends, this is where the review takes a M Night Shyamalan twist. I almost want to say that the wait was worth it. The curried chicken was the best I’ve had and the plantains were spectacular. Spectacular. I’m still amazed at how delicious the food was. All-in-all if you’re not really hungry and you have a good amount of time to spare this place is really great. To be honest, if I wasn’t so hungry I’m not sure I would have minded the wait either; the big projector screen showing live recorded music was entertaining enough and it was nice having some forced time with each other with nothing to do but chat. Emily E. might have a point — with my experience there and the attendance during Saturday night dinner time, you might want to try this place before it becomes something else. Excellent, excellent food — I want to get that point across. Plus, it might have just been that night as no one else seems to have complained about time.

As I arrived I thought this might be another place that was dead on arrival to Main St. Yesterday evening. The place was totally empty and loud reggae music was playing on the screen. Then I found out that the place did not have a liquor to serve beer. So I ordered Goat Roti typically a Indian dish I’m told with rice and peas and plantains. My dish arrived about ten to fifteen later missing my plantains. The goat was cooked well enough but after dipping it in the cup of green sauce it brought the otherwise boring dish to life. All the sides were mediocre at best but by adding the scotch bonnet hot sauce to them it adding a kick to it. By the time I finished my meal about seven to eight other dinners had arrived, some were just getting to go food. I enjoyed my entrée and the friendly waitress well enough but as another Unilocaler has said already I don’t know if this place will last on Main St. or not. Only time will tell I wish them the best and look forward to trying more curry dishes in the future.

Got the lunch buffet here which comes with a drink. The dishes were all decent with several hearty chicken options but nothing I feel compelled to return to try again. The fried plantains were very good though. They were friendly and time will tell but I don’t see this place as unique enough to last too long on main st.

What a great spot! We went there for dinner and had a great experience. The staff is all super friendly, and the food was very good and very reasonably priced. The jerked chicken was tasty, they have a good beef patty, and the plantains were some of the best I’ve ever had! My friend ordered the jerk chicken salad which was a steal at only $ 4.50. They also have lots of dishes and drinks that I’ve never heard of that I’m eager to try– I ordered a canned drink called«Irish Moss.» Never had anything quite like it– basically it’s a peanut smoothie, but pretty good! Not a formal place, but very comfortable environment, great people and tasty food!

Super new, really cute place. I had the lunch buffet, which had a good selection of 4 – 5 meat dishes, sides, desserts and a very basic salad. The price was awesome at only 8.95, which included a drink. The jerk chicken was delicious. Just the right amount of spice. The fried plantains were out of this world! I ate way too much. The place is so new that they are still working out the kinks. They were out of several drink choices and are still awaiting their liquor permit. Everyone working there was so nice. If they can work out the kinks, this could become a regular lunch spot.
