Unbelievable doctor and staff! Dr. M’s philosophy is YOU are responsible for your pain. He gives you options and you chose what approach works for you. YOU are part of the management. Of course he makes suggestions and advises you on your care, but if you don’t want to do/​try it, that’s your decision. Dr. M. and Neil (P.A.) spend as much time with you as needed. The office staff is wonderful!!! I was with a previous provider for one year prior and it was like a drug provider only; however, they were suspicious of your use constantly. Dr. M trusts you unless you give him reason to not trust you. You won’t be disappointed with this practice.

If you suffer from Chronic Pain this is absolutely the only place to go. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Matsunaga when I was a patient at HoCo General about a year ago undergoing a total knee replacement. I really liked his bedside manner. I was already seeing another Pain Management practice and was too lazy to change.
Then the day came last November when I left the former place in tears. Not just from the horrible pain I was in, but that I was treated rudely by all in that office and because of their negligence was forced into narcotic withdrawal for days, and they couldn’t have cared less. That’s what happens when you go corporate and that almighty dollar goes to the top of the list above patient care.
Dr. Matsunaga’s pain center is a whole different world. Truly everyone there treats you like you should be. So much compassion, experience, wonderful listeners as well. If you are in pain this is the best place to go, and I would know.
