I lived in Timber Ridge — would NOT recommend. When I moved in the place was absolutely disgusting and took several days to clean before I could walk around without shoes. Not only was the carpet 20 years old and terribly stained, there were used needles in the house. Things went ok until a neighbor lost it at my dog getting too close to his 13 year old daughter and reached for his gun to shoot my beagle. He still lives there, and regularly roams the yard shirtless and yelling on the phone. There is no lighting at night, none. I had two break in attempts into the sliding glass door in my bedroom — while I was sleeping. Management told me it wasn’t a big deal because they didn’t actually get in, and that I probably knew the person anyway. The house itself is older and in poor condition, you definitely get what you pay for.

Évaluation du lieu : 1 Columbia, MO
My wife and I were looking for an affordable place to live in Columbia, that was close to everything. Timber Ridge looked like the place for us. When we put our down payment on the apartment, we were told that some units come with washers and dryers, and some don’t; there’s no charge for the washer and dryer, it’s just the luck of the draw. So, I told the leasing woman that going to write up the lease/deposit that we would put our money down for the apartment today if we could have a washer and dryer in our unit. She said no, they don’t move them for any reason. So we got up to walk out the door, and magically her phone rang, she answered, hung up and then told us that the washer and dryer would be in our unit when we moved in. It was almost like buying a used car! We should have just walked through that door and never looked back at that point, but we didn’t and boy are we sad now that we signed the lease. On move in day, When we got the keys, we were dismayed to see how they«cleaned» the apartment. They did not clean the apartment at all after the previous tenants left. The carpet was not vacuumed, or shampooed; the walls, ceilings, fans, appliances, toilets, mirrors, shower and windows were not clean either. Everything was covered in filth from the previous tenants, and we had our U-hual outside loaded with all our belongings, ready to move in. We had no choice but to move in and then clean around our own stuff. I can attest that management is confrontational. The skinny apartment manager(I’ll refer to her as «black widow» from here on) that uses Dollar General brand black hair dye is rude, hateful, bossy, aggressive, lying and overall not a nice woman. When we were moving in, we decided to back up the truck up to the front door of our town home to save our backs from carrying all my belongings up the hill in front of our town home. Unlucky for us, black widow’s nest is across the street from our townhome. When she saw us unloading our belongings into our filthy apartment she started screaming at us to get our truck off the sidewalk. She did not ask nicely, she just started screaming. I kindly informed her that we are almost done unloading and we will move the truck soon. She went back to her nest. Then a few minutes later she scurry’s across the street and starts yelling and cussing at us to move the truck NOW! We ignored her. She retreated to her nest. 15 minutes later when we were done unloading, she pulled her Tahoe out of her nest’s garage(black Tahoe of course) and blocked our U-haul from moving. She then called Columbia’s finest and seemed upset that they were not going to come out to the«crime scene» since somebody blocking the sidewalk while moving isn’t their highest priority of laws to enforce. Black widow is either smart or crazy(who knows whats in dollar general hair dye), so before the police dispatcher ended the call she told the police«my life is in danger». So the police came. When the police got there they talked to black widow, and when it became obvious that black widow’s life was not in danger, they talked to us; the newest and probably not the most unhappy residents of Timber Ridge. The police officers told us that she calls the police on people all the time, for no good reason, and that they’re sorry we choose this place to move into, and had to deal with all of this stress on move in day. The police also told black widow to move her Tahoe so that I could stop blocking the sidewalk. So black widow drove back across the street into her nest. Also, Timber Ridge has a major spider problem, and they make you pay $ 25 to spray for them. Due to so many black widows and brown recluses running around, there wasn’t really a problem with bugs, and my cat’s had lots of spiders to chase around the house, so I didn’t have to buy them toys. Also, the siding on my townhome is gone in some areas, leaving massive holes exposing whatever it is underneath the siding. And the wifi sucks. There’s a reason this place always has openings, when everyone else in town has waiting lists. Avoid this place unless you like confrontation, spiders and slow«free» wifi.
