H H Gregg

Went to HH Gregg on a Sunday to look for a new dryer and stove. Upon entering the store, we noticed a group of workers standing near a register in the middle of the store chit-​chatting amongst themselves while another couple was standing by a few stoves near the front of the store. We walk around to look at stoves and no one acknowledges us… not even by saying «Hello» or asking if we needed help. There was one gentleman over by the refrigerators helping a different couple but he looked as though he was a bit busy finishing up a sale with them. We walked around the stoves and made our way over to to the refridgerators, we must of been in there a good 30 mins or more looking and even saw a dryer that we were interested in purchasing. We wait and waited but still NO ONE acknowledged us or even tried to help. the same employees were still standing over by that one register and the other couple that had been waiting for help since we got there, were still standing over to the side but they looked as though they were beginning to get impatient. Finally after no one helped, we decided to leave and went to Bestbuy instead.

I believe that in this day and age of Walmart’s and EBay’s we overlook something much more important then a great deal or the lowest price guarantee, good customer service. It’s a breath of fresh air to walk into a place, be treated like a person and more importantly a person that matters. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.
My experience here has cemented me as a loyal costumer. They remember you, ask how things are going and not in general, specific things. I know they don’t have the lower prices, or the widest selection. But that doesn’t matter to me as much as the feeling I have dealing with the people of HHgregg. The delivery company they use are equally as good.
Having not lived in this area of the States before I never even heard of this place before but it has been a extreme pleasure having discovered them for myself.

I personally went in to try and purchase a washer and dryer. After telling me they would be able to have the pair delivered to me the next day, I filled out a finance form to purchase the product. They then informed me that they do not know when they would be able to deliver the products. No estimate whatsoever. They then completed a credit card in my name WITHOUT my permission. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and filled fraud on my credit. I cannot believe that they would do this. They wouldn’t even give me my personal information back. I suggest no one go to this store! They have caused me such a hassle…

Our over-​the-​range microwave recently went «boom» (literally), and we needed a new one. We found a model we liked at Home Depot, but were treated very poorly by the salesperson there. So we stopped by H H Gregg on our way home.
They had the same model on display in a different color. A nice salesperson checked the computer to see if he had the model in white (they did), and also physically walked into the warehouse to verify that the computer was correct before selling the microwave. He was friendly and polite throughout, and we were out of the store within ten minutes! Quick, easy, and pleasant.
I haven’t used their delivery or installation services for any purchases yet, so can not review that side of the business. However, the professional and welcoming approach to my microwave purchase has encouraged me to try them for future home appliance business, including any appliances that would require installation. A little consideration for the customer goes a long way.
