Hip Wa Zee

Hip Wa Zee is where all the cool kids go to get their party gear. The prices are right (especially compared to pop up holiday shops) and the selection is great.
They obviously have costumes and accessories (for purchase or for rent) but they also have great vintage pieces and some fun finds.
It’s a laid back store with a cool vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful and know the merchandise well. Just ask if you can’t find something and they are happy to point you in the right direction. Don’t know what you’re looking for? They will give you some space to browse at your leisure.
Who knows what you will find in here! Last year I snagged the perfect plush clock purse for my lady mad hatter get up and this year I found a faux fur collar/​wrap that I was looking for to add to my warrior maiden Halloween costume. I couldn’t find it anywhere else and it was only $ 12.99!

If you’re in town and in need of a costume or something Hip to wear be sure to stop in and see the owner Leslie Minard and tell her Mark Baker and my good friend JOE ANDREWS said hi. Her costumes might be a little higher than anyone else in town but the quality you get is well worth it.

Get your crazy tacky Christmas sweaters here, some are pricey for something your only going to wear maybe once. But if you want to wear one they got the ugliest ones I ever seen.

This is the funnest place to go in Columbia for costumes. You can rent or buy there, and they also have a great selection of wigs and accessories. It’s open year round, not just for the Halloween crew and you can also find some great vintage clothes bargains too.
