Hot Box Cookies

AMAZING! Try the sandwich cookies with the frosting in the middle. Definitely will cure any sweet tooth. Also, we had our order delivered which my husband loved. His favorite treat (milk & cookies). My kids loved their cookies too. I thought they were a little pricey until I tried them. Definitely worth the price!

Waited over two hours for cookies. When I attempted to call costumer service was on hold for 15 minutes before being hung up on. When the cookies finally showed up over two hours late there was no compensation for our wait. Would not recommend

Ordered twice, more than hour late both times (quoted one hour, took 2 hours). No apology or compensation. Too undependable.

I placed an order online at 9:00 pm. Estimated delivery was 45 min to 1 hour. I called at 10:10 and was told my order was out for delivery. I called back at 11 and was told there was no record of my order in the system, and they have no idea who told me my order was out for delivery. So disappointing.

What’s not to love??? Hot cookies, right from the oven, or at least from the hot box. They have a good assortment and the people look like the Keebler elves, putting out bunches of deliciousness. Keep up the good work!

I’ve been a huge fan of Hot Box Cookies since inception. The cookies are always amazing and the icing sandwiches are even better. I now live in Seattle, but I continue to order HBC delivery for friends in Columbia. Always a great surprise. These people have cookies and customer service down. Fan since, like, forever.

Coming from a cookie lover– these cookies were awesome!!! And they deliver. I highly recommend these and they are super cheap!!! I think I’m in love! ;)

What more could you ask for, a place that serves milk and cookies on demand? Could it get any better? No! This place is awesome. They hire quality staff and the cookies are beyond delicious! If what you want isn’t ready in the case it probably will be coming out of the oven shortly.
You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but I recommend trying the oatmeal chocolate chip, it is delightful!
Oh, and if you don’t feel like driving there, they offer delivery. Check them out, you won’t regret it.

I like this place and the cookies (as all cookies are) are delicious. Very unique to see a place that only sells and delivers cookies. I talky enjoy going here for a cookie every once in a while… Be careful though, it’s easy to regret your decisions if you buy more than one

I can’t believe there are so many people hatin’ on this place! The cookies are awesome. I do not normally have a big sweet tooth, but these definitely hit the spot. My colleague and I were in town on business and decided to stop here after a business meeting at Teller’s (which Teller’s is average, but that’s where they wanted to eat). These cookies are so warm and gooey, I got chocolate all over the rental car on accident. I shouldn’t have been touching anything. I had the oatmeal chocolate chip, the peanut butter chocolate chip and some special one that I can’t remember the name, and I don’t see on the website. Dang. I guess I will have to try every cookie when I go back so I know which one was my favorite. bummer. :)
And trust me, $ 1 for a cookie is not expensive. When you have spent $ 3 on a cupcake in NYC the size of a small pill container and pay it because those cupcakes that DANG good, you don’t worry about it. (stupid little cupcakes. so expensive but dangit so addictive).

After placing my order for a birthday cookie to be delivered, I called back to give more delivery information. They pulled up my order with the wrong name. After correcting it, (I thought) I hung up. About 20 minutes later, I called to reconfirm the type of cookie. The new person said it still had the wrong name. I told them they better not deliver the birthday cookie with the wrong name. I was assured it was changed. They delivered the cookie with the wrong name. Three times, and the order takers could still not get it right. The manager Tim apologized and delivered another large cookie with the correct name. I would never order from their inexperienced, uneducated help again. Whether they thought it was cute or were really that stupid, I don’t know. But for the money and my time, it wouldn’t be worth doing business with them again unless I could deal with a manager from the start.

I appreciate the concept and it definitely gets the job done for a quick cookie craving, but the cookies themselves are average. Good, not great, and mine are much better when I have time to make them!

First of all this is a stoner’s paradise. I swear, the cash register dude was stone out of his mind so you going to have to be patience if you ask anything hard like, «What are your hours?» lol I don’t know how we got the info wrong, but ended up coming back after dinner and it was closed. Good news though they are open pretty late, till midnight on the weekdays and 2am on the weekend. I’ll change my rating once I have a cookie. :)

Save your money and get the tollhouse squares from hyvee.
These cookies are really nothing special and not worth the price. You can have cheap cookies at your own house more quickly than it takes this place to deliver.
The business idea is definitely original, but the execution is terrible.
A cookie business should have excellent cookies. Hot Box hasn’t mastered this.

I love the business idea. I just wish it were better executed. They took away the option to make your own dough with whatever mix-​ins you wanted. The menu changes every day. The delivery time can be as long as 90 minutes. The cookies are sometimes not cooked fully, or even overcooked. Could be better.

Great business idea but a little bit pricey I will be a repeat customer though awesome cookies

I had the extreme urge for a cookie last night and I remembered the delectable hot delivery cookies in Columbia and wished there was an equivalent in Vegas. I’m actually furious that there’s not. Also furious because it’s temporarily closed – what is that?
This is a million dollar idea for a college town and I hope they reopen soon for any and all late night cookie urges!

I was brought here by friends of the owner who say I look like him (I don’t see the resemblance). The man makes some damn good cookies though. The oatmeal craisin white chocolate chip are some of the best cookies I’ve ever had, especially while still warm and fresh.
My friend who came with me that fashions himself a cookie connoisseur fell in love and crushed more than a dozen, then bought the t-​shirt so he could remember how much he loves them.

My boyfriend is quite the cookie connoisseur, and he also lives in downtown Columbia, a block away from Hot Box Cookies, so I eat these cookies probably more often than I would normally… but they’re pretty good.
The catch is this: depending on when you go, the cookies can be freshly made and wonderful, or they can be older ones that have been sitting out for a few hours. So it’s a treat when we come in and get warm and soft cookies, but other times we end up with room-​temperature harder ones.
Another disappointment is there are only about 5 varieties available at each time. Their website advertises all the types of cookies they are making that day, and sometimes I find some cookies (S’more, Cookies and Crème, etc.) on that list and go to the store craving it, but then find out there’s not available at the time. Of course they offer to make a batch, but who wants to wait 15 – 20 minutes when we’re here on an impulse anyway?
But I have to say that I’ve never had a bad cookie here. (Do bad cookies even exist?) I’ve always really enjoyed their cookies. The Snickerdoodle, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, and Oatmeal Raisin are especially wonderful. Huge plus that it’s cheap and open late too. Perfect for late night sweet tooth cravings.

I stopped in this place at the strong suggestion of a friend who knew about my passion for oatmeal raisin cookies that were homemade and not store bought. A good tip as the ones I purchased were amazing! I bought 12 oatmeal cookies with 2 mix ins of which were raisins of course and then walnuts. For $ 10.70 that is not bad at all. More so given the decent size of the cookies and the authentic taste/​smell the cookies have. I brought them home and put the in the fridge and ate 3 for breakfast with a cup of coffee and pretty much went to heaven for a while, delicious!
