If you need to stay on post at Ft. Jackson, I can’t recommend Jacks Inn more. We loved it there. It felt very homey and having a kitchen to cook for our soldier made Family Day all the more better. We had a long trip to South Carolina so being able to wash clothes was a plus. Bring laundry soap(the little Pods are great for travel) and dryer sheets. Be sure to request extra towels if you need them. We were able to buy our food at the Wal-Mart across from Gate 4, but I would recommend going a little further and shop at Kroger, there is a better selection after the Tuesday night rush.
