I will say though, the gentleman at the front desk was pleasant and very nice.
But don’t do it to yourself stay somewhere else.

When you’ve been traveling, it’s always good to see a genuine smile, and I doubt anyone in the service industry has a more genuine smile than Tom, the gentleman who welcomed us to this clean, retro little gem. That smile says «we have a firm, king-​sized bed with your name on it.» It says «You will have an adequate shower.» It says «I had a normal relationship with my mother who is by no means sitting enshrined in the next room waiting to hear about my latest murder.» Okay, breakfast is just powdered donuts, but what do you want for fifty bucks? And our guy was still awake and cheerful in the morning. So get a room here! Just don’t fill the place up when I’m rolling through Columbia, S.C., ’cause I’ll want to stay here again.
