This is a great place. I came here on a Friday night and it was basically abandoned, which is just the way I like it. Also, I luckily had the chance to watch the owner(?) close up shop and watched her wipe down surfaces and generally take care of the equipment, which really gives me confidence on the overall cleanliness of the place. The owner(?) was also very nice immediately after I walked in, recommending a washer and explaining the prices. I also love that there are a variety of different washers and dryers available, regular ones for those who do laundry regularly and industrial ones that will take a month’s load of laundry. There are quite a few tables for folding, chairs for sitting, and a nice flat screen for some mindless entertainment while you wait. The prices are the higher side of reasonable but it’s only a dollar more than the very inefficient, questionably clean washer and dryer at my apartment complex.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a laundromat. Dryers are expensive and slow, washers aren’t bad but are a bit pricy. You have to go next door to find an employee because they couldn’t bother to staff the place. I was there on a 90 degree day and there was no air condition. I sat there sweating through my shirt because the doors were wide open with nothing but a few small fans to cool me. Avoid this place if at all possible.

I used this laundromat for a year before I moved into an apartment with a washer and dryer. It’s ok. It’s not dirty, and usually not too crowded. Avoid the manager, though. She’s a chain smoker who likes to complain about her child’s school. I also wouldn’t recommend this place for dry cleaning. I had a dress cleaned here, and it was very expensive IMO and came back smelling like old stale BO. Which, of course, I didn’t realize until I needed to wear it again, and ended up using Febreeze to make it wearable.

I haven’t been to any other laundromats in Columbia, and I don’t really have a reason to. This place is always clean, never too crowded, and conveniently located. There’s a tv and free wifi(although the signal’s not great… my iPhone can’t pick it up reliably, but my laptop can). There are plenty of tables and chairs and always enough carts to go around. It’s $ 1.25 for a normal-sized load and 4 – 5 quarters will usually dry that. Not bad! The staff is always nice, too.
