Marbles the Brain Store

Full disclosure — I didn’t get to buy anything my first time in here (pressed for time) — but I am familiar with a lot of the items they sell — and prices were gloriously legible and easy to find.
Marbles is a «good for your brain» store. According to the nice gentleman working the register, they recently had a huge investment from a venture capitalist, so will be expanding rapidly in the near future. This is a trend I can really get behind.
There are a few books — but otherwise this is mostly games and brain teasers. Its targeted at people hoping to develop a toddler’s mind, keep there own mind sharp or just people who enjoy games. Even if you don’t think you enjoy games, you should stop by and have chat. So much of there inventory has a sample open and able to be played with, so bring a friend, and take some time to find your new favorite pass time.
The prices here, while more than amazon, weren’t marked up nearly as high as a lot of small game stores — and possibly cheaper than amazon once shipping is taken into account. Plus, you get it that day, and can try many out before you do.
I really look forward to this trend popping up in more places — and I’ll be sure to be back soon.

The customer service is always wonderful and even on a crazy and crowded store we were greeted and assisted promptly. I love how the employees interact with each other also. My 9 year old daughter was purchasing a toy and the salesman spoke directly to her and treated her with the same respect he treats adult customers. This is the best place to shop for toys and games at The Mall in Columbia!

great little store with something for everyone, kids and adults alike.
there are some great games here for kids, and some brain teasers for bigger kids, and some more complex games/​activities for adults.
highly recommend coming here to get a gift for a brainy friend/​relative/​loved one.
