Marco’s impresses again! Last night I didn’t feel like cooking supper and we haven’t had pizza in a while. When my boyfriend got home, we decided on Marco’s. We usually build our own, but tonight we got one of their specialty pizzas, the Deluxe Uno. Green peppers, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions(we omitted the onions). Wow, what a pizza. We ordered a large, thin crust with a garlic butter crust topper. I also like that they ask you if you would like a side of banana peppers for free(i love those things). We placed our order, paid online, and then noticed they have an order tracker now(like Dominos). They told us, down to the minute, when our order would be delivered. That’s helpful if you have a dog who is a barker. The delivery person was so polite and nice. The pizza was fresh and hot, and absolutely delicious. Best delivery pizza in Columbia.

We ordered 45 pizzas this morning for our dedicated staff who returned to work today after the devastating floods of the past few days. The pizzas were ready on time, hot, and delicious!

Stayed at a local hotel and needed a late meal. This location was very friendly on the phone and there were no mistakes in our order. Being from Toledo I grew up around Marco’s, and this pizza was very good. To add to our positive experience, the delivery driver offered to take our luggage cart back to the lobby on the way out. Totally unexpected and very kind.

These guys are rock stars. It was 10pm this past Wednesday and I needed to feed about 140 people at a moment’s notice. No one could fulfill the order for 60 pizzas — BUT Marco’s did — and they did it in an hour and a half! They also did it with a smile. They came through and my clients were delighted. It was a rough day for me in my line of work and at least I’d didn’t have to stress about this aspect — they took care of everything.

I had never heard of Marco’s Pizza before they opened up here in Columbia, SC. I place a lot of orders online for delivery and have now placed 6 delivery orders with them. So, you might ask, 6 orders and one star? What gives? Well, they have a couple unique things compared to the other«commodity» pizza places(Papa Johns, Pizza Hut — you know, the generic stuff that is better than Little Caesars but not good enough to tell your friends about…). They have a larger variety of subs and a meatball bake(pizza with no bread basically). For what it is, the food quality is OK. The sauce tastes canned and the quality of the meats and cheese are lower grade, but at least they are consistent and it is edible with enough variety to satisfy the three of us. If this is where it stopped I would give the place 3-stars, aka, good enough to eat in the same way you as when you are starving and on a road trip and grab McDonald’s — but would never plan a date to go eat here. Well, my first three orders online went fine. It has been my last three orders… or more accurately the lack thereof. The last three times I have ordered online I have not received my food. I should know better but this stupid democracy thing where the three of us vote forced me try again. Each time we order online — within minutes my debit card is charged, including delivery fees and tip. Each of the last three times and hour and twenty minutes later I am on the phone with them getting a refund. Each time I get the same«we were so busy and missed the order» line. Each time it takes over a week for them to process my refund(and I work for a bank, so please don’t give me the«that’s how long AHC refund transactions take line of crap.» They really are insincere about screwing up and two of the three times I had to call the next day to speak to the real manager to process the refund. So bottom line… If you are considering generic commodity pizza the quality and selection here is perhaps a hair above Papa Johns and Pizza Hut — but so is the price. If you are considering delivery — make sure you pay with cash. That way if it doesn’t show up at least you are only out about a hungry hour of your life.

I have to say it was better than I anticipated. Two topping meatball pizza was made in about 15 minutes. It was just a notch above your average dominos or poppa johns. The people that work here were nice and took are order promptly. I just wished the pizza tasted a little better. But if I’m in Rosewood again I might go back and try a different pizza.

Its ok If you like Dominos or pappa johns this place is for you. The pizza I got was a cheese and sausage and it had a dominos tasting sauce with a pappa johns crust so best of both worlds yummy.

So I was first introduced to Marco’s in VA and they make the best pizza ever! So I was beyond excited when I saw that one was now in SC. I ordered from the Rosewood store last night and was very disappointed when I got home and opened the box. It was like I had ordered a pizza from Pizza«Hit or Miss» Hut. There was a least 2″ of just dough by the crust. You know what I’m talking about… no toppings just sauce and bread. I have NEVER received a pizza like that from the Hampton store. Idk if I’ll be returning… Marco’s is normally great… it’s on the pricey side, but the ingredients are super fresh so it’s worth it. But this SC store isn’t standing up to those standards and for the price I paid I might as well order two«Hit or Miss» pizzas from the Hut. They’ve only been opened since March way to early for letting your standards down. Hope this won’t be a norm for them.

The thought of a new resteraunt coming to Columbia excited me because it gave me an opportunity to create a review on something that people wanted someone’s opinion on. The building used to be some check-cashing place, but they went belly up and, from the bowels of new resteraunts came the sign that greeted it, «Marco’s Pizza.» Obviously, I had never heard of it, so within 2 weeks of it’s initial opening, we went for carryout. We got the«Deluxe Uno» on thin crust. We greatly enjoyed the pizza that was covered in awesome toppings and cheese, and came along with a satisfying crunch from the crust that left us wanting much, much, MUCH more! Top that with a rental of «The Muppets» from a Redbox and we had a pretty good night. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something new from Columbia without getting awfully sick. *Looks angrily at Pop’s NY Pizza*
