My daughter and I went to get an ice-cream as a treat for having worked hard in the house. I asked the young man if I could have half a scoop of caramel and half of chocolate to make a full scoop. The owner was near and the guy said I don’t know. The owner, without saying hello, at least be polite, said no it’s a full scoop or nothing. I had two full scoop and told Vickie it was the last time I’d go to his place. You’re in business or you’re not! You’re supposed to please the customer. Too bad he lost a customer. This was last year but I don’t care Unilocal is great for reviews so I had to say something.

Amazing ice cream. The owner, Darryl had an excellent selection of ice cream that came right from Wisconsin. Legend says that nuns smuggle the ice cream over the border and deliver the ice cream at night on Sundays while they’re going to prayer service. Whatever the case, I’m glad we had the opportunity to stop at Marie’s Ice Cream shop for an after dinner treat.

Something tells me Marie wont be around for long– If you have a shop in a tiny town– in order to survive, you MUST be on point, and GREAT… and you have to have business– This was my second time here, and I was equally unimpressed. If you run an ice cream shoppe, then your chocolate shake better be a whole lot thicker than chocolate milk– and thats exactly what my better half got when he ordered a chocolate shake on Sunday evening— a glass of chocolate milk — – so sad. he said it was the worst chocolate shake he had ever had– Marie– or whoever you are, please teach your young employees how to make a correct milkshake if youre going to leave them in charge of your store. The only thing I would ever get from here would be a scoop of ice cream. Because well, you cant really mess that up.

Atmosphere was blah, ice cream very mediocre and overpriced for what you got. Would recommend going to Dairy Queen instead.

Finally an ice cream shoppe in Columbia. I know they have Dairy Queen, but I am a fan of hard dipped waffle cone. The two times that I have been in the shoppe the servers have been ready to serve you. They do offer small samples, yummmmm. They have a frequent shopper card, I love when a place offers that. They have 20 different flavors to choose…
