I’ve only been renting from these people for one month, so take this for what it’s worth, but the Mitchell’s have been awesome so far. They have been incredibly friendly from day one, fixed my one issue within a couple hours of hearing about it, and have been very accommodating at every turn. I love the house I’m renting and the price I’m renting it at… that doesn’t hurt. Zero complaints here so far.

They were very quick to attend to maintenance requests. Kirby fixed our washer and dryer, flipped our dishwasher front around so all the appliances matched, fixed our leaky toilet and water heater and did always returned our calls. He never changed our washer and dryer door handle that he said he would, so we just bought a brass piece and replaced it ourselves. The location was terrible, and the neighbors park their small bikes in whole car parking spaces. Also, along the side of the driveway, some of the residents would park their cars where it is clearly labeled NO PARKING. A pleasure to work with otherwise.

Rented from them for 1 yr. Lived in KC for 15 yrs and NEVER received this type of treatment from a landlord/​leasing office. Completely inflexible and unsympathetic to individual situations, and VERY quick to threaten legal action for VERY minor things. Oh, and there was a bug problem that I had to take care of myself. Avoid at ALL costs, especially if you’re a student — it’s pretty clear that, like many other businesses in Columbia, a decent portion of their income is generated by screwing students over.
