I expect the DMV and DL place to be full of people waiting for hours. This one wasn’t. In fact, our wait was about eight minutes. Once we were called, though, the experience hit rock bottom immediately. The woman waiting on us was rude and condescending. Stereotypical DMV staff. She definitely had no idea what was posted on the Missouri Drivers License website in regard to acceptable proof of residency. I realize DMV staff are used to all kinds of ignorance, but when we have done our research and they haven’t. .. unacceptable.

This is the largest group of incompetent idiots I have ever came across in my life. They don’t know there own laws and refuse to even give you copies of them. They will waste your time for days at a time and delight in making you upset. They will send you away without your paperwork for multiple trips due to a different issue each time. They have no idea how to do there job or how to explain the rules they don’t know. I would suggest going to outlying offices as they seem to have it together better. This place seems to hire people that can fog a mirror and have no further skills. No wonder their director is under indictment. A waste of space and resources…

So apparently, driver’s licenses are not considered valid forms of ID at this office, even though THEY ISSUE THEM HERE. The people are perfectly friendly and there’s no such thing as a wait, but it’s completely dumb that they have no problem charging you for a license that they won’t accept later on. To me, that’s the definition of hypocrisy, and simply put, my time was wasted.
