I’m a thrift store junkie and i absolutely love this Thrift store! Ive been shopping Palmetto Thrift since its original location and never had a bad experience. Both my grandmother’s would have me take them there and also donated there often. Same with many of my family members and friends! In fact, I was just there today and found a beautiful decoration to put on my kitchen wall for $ 1. Everyone is always so friendly at that store. It’s HUGE and always stocked with tons of stuff! I especially love that they are teamed up with a LOCAL charity, Children’s Chance, which helps local kids with cancer. I made sure to research all this when I first noticed the signage years ago. I follow both Palmetto Thrift and Children’s Chance on Facebook as well. I’m also part of the email and text. I hear they have a twitter too, but I don’t use that. Also, i love that i can call up there anytime and make an appointment at my convenience to have them come pick up donations from my house. No heavy lifting for me, which is great because I have a back injury. No hauling ton of boxes and bags off anywhere. I’ve done yard sales before and whatever I had leftover I prescheduled them to come retrieve. So nice! When my grandmother passed away, she had a ton of stuff for us to donate. They were so gracious, kind, and patient. They made several trips out as my family and I went through the emotional task of sorting through all her belongings. Since she had donated and shopped the store herself, we had been instructed to only donate there! I can’t say enough good things about these people. I imagine if I ever were to have a problem all I would have to do is call Lisa or Debbie and they would handle it. I would never feel the need to write anything negative about a place that works so hard to help kids with cancer. And that I know for sure they do to the best of their ability!!! :)

All the proceeds at «Palmetto Thrift Store» help children with cancer. I have gained much more cancer awareness since my uncle, Tyson, and my high school band director, Mr. Andrews, passed away due to leukemia and brain cancer, respectively. I love thrifting and have been an avid thrifter for almost two(2) years now. Hubby and I stopped by since we are in town to visit the in-laws. I think PTS has fabulous prices on furniture. Most furniture I saw in the shop was purchase-worthy. There were $ 1 sale on some of the paperbacks and hardcovers books toward the back of the store. A few good-condition vinyls were $ 0.75/each. I would say PTS is nice and chill place to poke around when time is allowed.

Lots of stuff at great prices but hose it down before you bring in your house. I was turned off by the staff mentioning there was a dead rat by the bathroom and how bad it’s decaying body smelled. I probably won’t go back.

This thrift store was cited a few years ago by the Secretary of State for not actually donating money to any cause. They were forced to pay a hefty sign. I read it in the newspaper. They have changed that now but I am leery to shop there as tehy are not on the up and up.

Great prices here and your money goes to help support local children with cancer. They have a 20% off coupon in the mint magazine which makes shopping here more attractive! Good selection of housewares, books and clothes. Very friendly staff as well.
