Richard is FAnTastic at knowing what your hair is capable of and what would look best on you. He is realistic and tells you what will work and will not. I love my hair every time I leave. He is great at color as well. I have never been disappointed disappointed and have been going to him for 10 years.

Richard is wonderful! I’m always a bit nervous trying out a new stylist, but couldn’t have asked for a better gamble! Richard’s relaxed, not rushed approach was very refreshing and left me feeling valued and welcomed. I had a balayage and cut done today and although I’m just getting used to the color, I know I will love it after 3 days time (I couldn’t believe I excused myself to the mirror early, as I ran into it thinking it was someone else– yes. I’m a genius as well.)

Rich is an all-​star. let me first say that I usually abhor getting my hair cut by a stylist. the colorless banter, the uneasy feeling that I’ll inevitably not like the cut, and then the price after it is all just off putting. so needless to say I was hesitant at first. but the small salon, good upkeep, and good reviews had me walking through the door. and man am I glad I did. from the second I walked in Rich was as nice and congenial as could be. he kept conversation fluid, light, and interesting all the while giving me exactly the haircut I wanted. will definitely be going back to him as long as he and I are both in Columbia. worth every penny and so much more just for the level of professionalism and friendly demeanor.

As much a sculptor’s atelier as it is a place to get your haircut. There WILL be discussion about aethetics, but no hard choices. I like this dude. Good tuneage. Excellent atmosphere and service. Engaging, talented proprietor who plays music himself.
While waiting for my cut I Watched him work on a musician with a big gig weekend coming up and he was like a cross between a proud Mom and Rodin. High fives all around

I have been going to Richard for around 10 years. I LOVE HIM, both as a stylist and a person. I am so confident in his skills that I have given him free rein several times over the years. I ALWAYS get complimented on my hair and it is a joy to refer people.
