This place has the best philly’s! It is made to order and the queso on top is with the extra $. Definitely a place to go to when you’re really hungry!

First time here, and was highly impressed. Ordered a regular old steak philly, with added jalepeno juice(they yell«Fireball» when you order this way). Had onions, peppers, and mushrooms. There are additional toppings but I bypassed those in favor of the cooking ingredients. Sandwich was fantastic — filled full of meat, cheese and vegetables. There are sauces at a condiment bar but again, I enjoyed the philly just as it came off the grill. I did take advantage of a delicious mushroom gravy they offered, and poured it over my fries. Staff was very friendly and the manager came over to check on us. Price was reasonable, steak philly was $ 6.99. I live in St. Louis but travel to Columbia frequently and this will be a regular stop from now on.

I had the Philly Cheesesteak with Chips & Salsa on the side. The sandwich is about 12″ and is full of steak, cheese, and your choice of onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and jalapeños. The bread is soft and soaks in the juices from the ingredients but doesn’t get soggy or messy. There are a lot of different free sauces like an jus, mayonnaise, and BBQ that you get to add to your sandwich yourself. This is a very tasty and filling sandwich. I’m very pleased with the food quality, quantity, and price. The employees were friendly and patient with me while I looked around and took it all in(they had to ask me twice if I was dining in or out) for my first visit. I’ll definitely be back again.

When I first walked in, I noticed how open the dining area felt, with only outer walls, and the sauces and beverages up against the wall. I looked at the menu for some time before making my selection. I’d hoped that the menu on their website would have been more detailed to save me some time. Fortunately, I arrived between lunch and dinner, so I wasn’t holding up the line. I ordered a burrito with half steak half shrimp. The next thing I knew they were all calling out«Gunner! We’ve got a gunner! I checked my pocket, but I wasn’t carrying my gun. I looked at the menu, and saw that«gunner» means double meat. Instead of half and half, I was charged $ 3.00 extra for double meat. When I looked back to what they were doing, I noticed that they’d made a sandwich instead of a burrito. I called it to the guys attention, and he just stood there looking down at the sandwich. Finally, I spoke up, and told him that I’d try the sandwich. I was later glad I did. After telling the cashier I wanted to take my food to go, I changed my mind, and went back for a drink. A medium soda costs $ 2.15 after tax, which was expensive compared to other restaurants, and considering they serve Pepsi products, which are generally cheaper than Coke. The condiment bar was clean and well stocked, though I would have liked to seen more than dressings, sauces, utensils, and napkins. Additional toppings would have been nice. When I looked around to find a seat, I noticed that there was just about every type of seating imaginable, tall tables, short square, short rectangle, booth, and bar stools up against a long table looking out the front of the restaurant. I chose one of the 5 booths. My steak and shrimp philly with cheese, green bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, and steak sauce was delicious. The bread was very soft, and extra cheese that I didn’t opt for, was entirely unnecessary. It was nice sized sandwich, but I could have eaten more. My only complaint is that the vegetables were lost in all the meat, but most people I know probably take that as a good thing. The next time I go, and there will be a next time, I will take care not to order double meat, and skip the drink. It would have turned a $ 13.00 lunch into a $ 7.50 lunch.
