I’ve been here many times and the food is good. I usually get the beef soup. Every time I have been I have ordered double beef and I noticed that my friends that ordered regular beef seemed to have the same amount of beef in their ssoup so the last time I was their we counted the number of beef strips in our soup. I had 11 and my friends had 9. I brought this to the attention of our server and he said the normal amount should be about 9. I told him I only had 11 but he acted like he didn’t belive me and when the bill came he charged $ 1.00 instead of the normal $ 3.00 upcharge for«Double Beef.». Personally I think he should have brought out 7 more beef strips to put in my soup. I may come back but if I do I will never order double beef again.

I am a huge fan of Phở and Vietnamese food, so I was excited to find this place. I was also excited about the choices of Phở on the menu! While I’ll admit that this hit the spot, I also think it was lacking in something I’m used to… Like I couldn’t get that hint of star anise that is in a great Phở… Otherwise I’d have to say the Phở was clean and tasty and if you want extras(like I do) to put in, just ask. I also got the tiny friend rolls and they were ok… Love the fishy fish sauce. The place is clean and the service is always super fast… I think if I got the more layered flavor of Phở I’m used to I’d have to give it 5 stars…

This place definitely takes an advantage of the fact that minority cultures in Columbia, SC are vastly under-represented and any such cultures that do exist are dominated by classless business owners who only cares about low overheads. Phở Viet on Decker provides decent food to the phở loving residents of Columbia who just need to get the fix every now and then. However, the place is disgusting. One time I walked in on them sweeping up countless roaches that have died over night right before opening. And the veggies(if you actually get any at all) are less in quality than those provided at let’s say a homeless shelter. But hey. I give this place 3 starts because it gives me phở when I so crave it without having to drive to Charlotte.

It’s a rainy chilly day in Columbia and for me, that equates a nice, hot bowl of Phở. I’m visiting the area for a few months on business so I relied on Unilocal to help me find this place. Clearly family owned in an older, old fast food franchise space. Décor is dated and a bit cheesy with fast food style booths that line the walls and some fake Bamboo décor. If you are somebody that is picky about appearances of a place as a reflection of what they serve, then this is not a place for you because you’ll be turned off. I’ve found the best places are often a hole in the wall or a nice surprise. I ordered a bowl of number 17 without the tendon and it was very good; so basically, a large bowl of beef broth, rice noodles, onions with flank steak and tripe. The broth was slightly sweet for a traditionalist but not overwhelmingly sweet. A side of sprouts cilantro two slices of jalapeño and a wedge of lime were served. This is my first time I’ve not been served fresh basil to accompany the phở. The server was very sweet when taking the order and delivering the food. Didn’t come back to check in in a timely fashion to see if everything was OK …(and I feel like I noticed this more because I was thirsty and just want to glass of water and have to wait a while to try to catch somebody’s attention). Price is pretty good about eight dollars for a large bowl of soup; it’s very filling. I’d definitely go back.

If you like phở this is your spot! Not classy just good! We were the only people dining that weren’t Vietnamese. That should tell you authentic!

I’ve been trying to get my husband here for a while now. I finally talked him into it, and he loved it. We started off with Vietnamese Spring Rolls. My husband liked them more than me. I’m not a big fan of the Peanut Sauce. We both got the #15 Phở with Rare Steak, Brisket, and Flank. It was delicious! I should have gotten the small bowl instead of the large. I managed to pig out on the entire bowl. I didn’t have the discipline to stop eating. I definitely recommend the #15. The staff is very friendly and the service is very quick. We will definitely be back soon!

Had my first Phở today and it was awesome! This place appears to have been a Burger King in a past life but that is where the similarity stops. As soon as we walked in we were greeted a young woman with a big smile. I’m guessing this is a family owned We started with the #1 Spring Roll. Not bad. The peanut sauce was good but, I preferred it with a little Sriracha Sauce. We both got the #15 Phở with Rare Steak, Brisket, and Flank. The flavors were wonderful. They provide Jalapeños, Bean Sprouts, Lime and Cilantro on the side. Adding these to the soup gives you a little different texture. The challenge was getting the noodles to your mouth with chop sticks but, it was worth the effort.(My bride cheated and cut up the noodles with a knife and fork!) Will have to send her back to Chop Stick School. In short, this was comfort food at it’s best. We will definitely be back!

Great food! Any time I’m craving soup, Phở is my number one choice. Of all the phở that I have tried here, none have ever let me down on taste, portion or price. Also, the curried squid was great if you are a curry fan! The phở add-ins(sprouts, lime, jalapeño, basil) are always fresh. The thai tea is a great addition to any meal!(with or without the boba bubbles).

The food was decent, but what I really enjoyed was the coconut jelly pearl smoothie. The smoothie alone was enough to make me consider visiting again!!!

Good service, great iced coffee, reasonable, dishes were all tasty! Phở had great flavor, soft noodles with fresh veggies and squid had just the right amount of spice. We will definitely visit again when we return to the area.

Great phở. Got salt and pepper shrimp as well which was very good very fresh shrimp. Picture had shrimp heads but I didn’t get the heads. Disappointing. Seafood phở was fantastic so was beef. Also got shrimp spring rolls. Very nice I liked how they wrapped the whole shrimp with tail sticking out. They should clean the shrimp veins so they were clean. Worst part were bubble drinks which I love. Pearls were not sweet and just had a starchy taste. Drinks itself had too much ice so it was not smoothie consistency but more like a shaved ice with milk Definitely will go back I can’t stop thinking of the shrimp. Also eating a lot of phở in Atlanta on beuford highway you get used to the broke down building look they always have. Let the food speak for the restaurant

My first time here & my boyfriend’s first time having phở. We both LOVED ours. He got the beef noodle stew & I got regular rare steak phở & it was perfect. The best phở broth I’ve ever had. Added some sriracha to make it extra spicy & ate the entire bowl. Definitely will be returning.

For the state this phở restaurant is mediocre. The Phở is overpriced with small portions. Coming from California this place is okay for the area it’s in. The Boba drinks are not made fresh and taste bland.

This place I went a couple of days ago and was really good which was surprising because the parking lot was almost empty. So I ordered the phở special with side of rare steak. Yum yum. The phở tasted good and I was happy to find it in an area like that where ribs and bbq were the norm. Very impressed. Well be going there again tonight!

This place has good phở. Since moving here I frequented this place a few times before discovering the other Phở Viet in 5 points. I like them both but prefer the other one a little better. This location has less flavor in the broth in my opinion but it doesn’t mean it’s flavorless. It still tastes darn good. The size of the portions here as a little small so I get the large size. The rolls(both spring and summer) are small as well but it’s still filling. The one thing that i do appreciate here is that there is ample parking. There’s nothing worse than looking for parking when you’re hungry or having to find coins for a metered spot and not having any. Thank god for free and plentiful lots!

Pretty decent phở on my side of town, great on a cold day. I really like that they serve curried goat and frog legs prepared many different ways. The location could use a little work on the inside and a lot of work on the outside. Cut the grass, do some landscaping and maybe put out a outdoor picnic table for the lunch crowd when it’s not to hot. Otherwise I would give this location a sold for stars. I heard the location downtown In Five points is a bit better, I will have to try it out soon. Open seven days a week now!
