We have been going here for quite sometime and have had typically great service. The past year the food and the service have been going downhill. Last night we were seated and asked if we wanted drinks by a nice young man who was not our waiter. Received our drinks and after sitting for 15 minutes I finally had to ask who our waiter/waitress was. Our waiter finally came and was extremely rude. Soup came out cold(this was the 2nd time I have ordered the soup and it came out cold but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt). Waiter was too interested in watching a sporting event on television. Asked for our bill and he just dropped it off without saying a word!

It was a very quick drive from south county in St. Louis. The servers were very prompt and friendly. They had an excellent wine selection. My husband had the cajun pasta and I had a wood-fired pizza. We both enjoyed our dinners and will return. If I had to say one thing negative, I would say they offer too many choices on the menu which made it difficult trying to decide what to order.

Great night out on a Saturday. The special was a full rack of ribs and they were outstanding. Only reason I can’t give five stars is that the hostess was a bit clueless and not very welcoming. The place was busy and they seemed a bit overcome by it all. Great food, though.

We never seem to make to Columbia at a decent hour to try any restaurants. We went to Reifschneider’s after seeing fairly good reviews and were excited about finally getting to try a local place. We got seated pretty quick since it wasn’t busy. A lady got our drink order and told us someone would be right with us. We watched as 2 wait staff helped the 3 occupied tables near us, but nobody would take our order. After 10 minutes and the same 2 wait staff walking by us without helping us, we got up and walked out. A different waitress stopped as we got up and asked if anyone was helping us and apologized when I told her no and that we were leaving. I can’t tell you about the quality of the food, but the service was not good. There were only 6 occupied tables and 4 wait staff working the floor, which makes this all the more baffling.

I have eaten at this restaurant a handful of times over the last couple years. The food and service are both very good. It’s a fun casual place, that is in no way pretentious. Yesterday was a beautiful afternoon, and the three of us really wanted to eat outside. There was a private party out in the patio, someone’s 50th birthday. The host wasn’t sure if we would want to sit out there among all of those people. But it was so nice, sensing we really wanted to sit outside, they walked us through and sat us and one of the few remaining tables on the back end of the patio. Although a little awkward we couldn’t have been happier. Our food took a little while to come out obviously because this party of 25 or 30 or so had just order their meals, this was completely understandable as we were in no rush. I ordered a dinner salad and a pasta dish. Initially I inquired about a sweet Italian dressing or a poppy seed they had neither, so I went with a blue cheese dressing. The salad is very full and fresh and the amount of dressing was perfect(comes in one of those pre portioned plastic containers) once all mixed together. One of my biggest pet peeves is an over dressed salad. I ordered the Cajun pasta with chicken and shrimp. It was delicious with a creamy vodka type sauce and the portion was huge, enough to take some home for the next day. Pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente, but the garlic bread for wasn’t toasted enough. If that was their intention, garlic bread, it was fine. I prefer toast with my pasta for the textured contrast. The iced tea was fine. My wife ordered a double burger which looked fantastic, she said she wished they had seasoned the patties. The fries are always fantastic. My mother in law ordered the French onion soup bowl. It didn’t appear to have nearly enough color for a well carmelized French onion soup. But she seemed to enjoy it. . As far as service overall, they did the best they could considering the large party seperating us from the service entrance. It was our call to eat outside.

Nice newer atmosphere. Very casual but not dumpy. The service was great ! Top notch! The food: tonight’s food was apps. Loaded nachos, onion rings, loaded potato skins, fiery hot wings. Loaded nachos were very good. Very fresh ! I loved these ! Onion rings were beer battered. I don’t think they were homemade but they were good. My husband liked the horsy sauce. What can I say about loaded potato skins. They are good. Really hard to mess up . Fiery hot wings: good not great. We got the boneless kind. They did not have a crunch to them, which makes me wonder if they homemade. The taste was there but without the crunch something was missing . All in all good time. Good not great food.

A friend wanted to try Reifschneider’s oven baked pizza’s. I wanted pasta. I ordered a glass of Moscato, they usually have a nice bottle. Last night they did not disappoint. My friend is a pretty basic type of guy. He was disappointed that is cost extra to have just a pepperoni and sausage pizza. I ordered the chicken, bacon, mushroom pasta. This serving is big enough for lunch the next day. The white sauce is cheesy and creamy, the bacon has just the right amount of smokiness to it. The place is a little pricey but good.

What more could you want? This is a hidden gem. Everything we have had has been great. They have a brick oven for the pizza and a few other things. The specials are imaginative. Service is friendly and efficient.

I stopped here because I loved the smoked wings at the location in Freeburg. I did not see them on the menu. so i ordered the smoked meatball sandwich. the had to eat the meatballs then the bread. it was messy. the fries where good and crispy. the turkey minestrone soup was just OK. i asked the waiter why they didn’t have the smoked wings. he said that they did but they aren’t on the menu. grrrrrrrrrr

Three words. Smoked Chicken Wings. Menu is full of great options for various tastes. They normally serve the smoked wings(when available) with BBQ sauce, but ask for buffalo. Perfect combo of heat and smoke. I’ve had wings all over the country. These are on par with the fish sauce wings from pok pok in portland.

Excellent brick oven pizza in small-town southern Illinois. I got the Buffalo chicken ranch pizza. It was pretty tasty, with loads of bacon, and blue cheese. Honestly, the ranch was the downfall. Blue cheese, bacon, chicken, cheese, and Franks would have been perfect. My wife got a reuben, and enjoyed it; the fries served along side of it were outstanding. We started with an order of bacon-wrapped stuffed jalepenos. Super delicious. They were so damn good! The service was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and interactive.

There are plenty of Columbians’ who will rave about the place, and plenty who will simply just say«mehhh»… but for me, I think its a decent place and a nice bar/restaurant for Columbia… especially considering we dont have another place like it in our town… So thats a plus for me. There buffalo chicken sandwhich is awesome. I love it. I’ve also had there brick oven pizza which is also phenomenal, Im not sure why people give this place such a low rating. They smoke meat outside sometimes as welll, and it always smells really really yummy, alas I’ve never tried it though. This place can get really busy sometimes, and like other Unilocal’ers said the service can be spotty, but overall I dont really have anything negative to say. For Columbia, its a great addition.

People we nice. Steak was 20 bucks and obviously frozen. There is even a warning on the menu that if you order anything past Medium, do it at your own risk. Advertised as 28 day dry aged. Should be able to cook that to well and have it still be tender. Ordered mine rare, came out on the medium side of medium-rare. Veggies were from a frozen blend also. I’m sure it’s a great place to drink, but the food is on par with Applebee’s.

Still a tremendous place. Cool, atmosphere with the brick oven, nice sized bar, and plenty of TVs to see whatever sport is. Nice wood floors throughout. I can speak highly enough of the brick-oven pizzas. They are tremendous. I’ve had several other menu items from the buffalo chicken burger(They call it a Buffalo Yard Bird), hamburgers, nachos with cheese, and so on, but nothing beats the pizza. A little tase of heaven. I love the grind salt and grind pepper. You can really control the amount of salt you get when you are grinding it yourself. So why only 4 stars in the review? Simple… fancy Ketchup. I still cannot fathom how a nice restaurant can have this horrible«fancy» brand named ketchup? Will it really break the bank to use Heinz? The fries are good, but not the greatest… however when you are required to use crap ketchup on them, it actually makes them worse. I know it sounds nit picky, but for the love of all things ketchup, keep some Heinz in stock for people that care about their ketchup.

For those of you in South County looking for something a little different, take the extra few minutes to cross the bridge for this fabulous joint. They have vegetarian options which is great, and truly, there is something for everyone here. They have a great wine selection, something which the SoCo area is definitely lacking. We went on a Thursday to catch the beautiful performance of Michael Schaerer. So mellow, so friendly, great food. I will say this — of the few times I’ve been here, I’ve noticed my pizza is much better when the kid with the dreadlocks is operating the brick oven. Just sayin’

We went here on a Saturday night based on the advice of some friends and were very pleased with the restaurant. It’s in downtown Columbia and is a really nice little place. It almost has a «hole-in-the-wall» feel to it from the outside and seems to be a place where people come to just«hang out,» but the food is more upscale than the streetside apperance. They have several wines and beers, and they have an extensive menu full of several options. I had one of their«wood-fired» pizzas — a BBQ chicken. One of the others in my group had a blackened chicken, so I also grabbed a bite of it. I must say that it wasn’t the best BBQ or blackened chicken pizza I’ve ever had, but it was still very good. I would definitely go back.

I live in Columbia and love the having a slightly upscale, non chain, place where I can take friends and family for a good meal. It is not a destination, but a convenient local establishment. The inside is VERY noisy so kids are no problem, the service can spotty, especially if they are busy. The brick oven pizzas are my favorite, but the sandwiches are a good bet too. If your not worried about your cholesterol or waistline go for the gooey louie ½lb angus Burger stuffed between two grilled cheese sandwiches!
