I used to come here somewhat regularly when I lived in the Columbia area. Today was my first time back in about 2 years and I was disappointed that what used to be excellent mall food court Asian food turned out to be plain, bland, not fresh, and all around unappetizing. Maybe it’s just a fluke, but to me it seems like a bad sign that they didn’t have a line and the food wasn’t fresh during the lunch rush.

I don’t know what happened here, but my failure to write a review last time I came here resulted in me ordering the same dish and being disappointed… AGAIN. This is why we need to Unilocal. First of all – their fast food combos are a pretty good deal and I’ve had only good experiences with the chicken, pad thai, tofu dishes. It’s on the above-average end of typical Americanized-Chinese food. Years ago, their wonton noodles was my go-to meal. It’s still $ 5.99(comes out to $ 6.35 with tax) but… it’s not the same. Years ago, the broth was tasty, the bowl looked pretty when it came out, and the wontons had real meat and shrimp. Now, I saw them squeeze hoisin sauce and some other sauce in my bowl before ladling in the soup(the broth itself is not flavored enough?!), they ran out of scallions(how can an Asian place run out of scallions at a busy lunchtime?!), everything was kind of thrown in, and most disappointingly – the wontons were like processed meatballs wrapped in dough. And there were occasional chunks of chicken thigh or shrimp. Not appetizing. Tsk, tsk. It was decent enough that I ate all the noodles, bokchoy, carrots, and broth, but I left 2 whole wontons behind. I’ve never done that. The servers were super nice and I want them to do well. But with Shophouse in town, there’s going to be some competition for fast Asian food, and it’s time for Thai Kitchen to bring it. I really want to come back here in a few months and give it at least 4 stars. They do get 3.5 because their combo deals are still quite good.

For a mall food court thai food, its great. I got the thai rice noodles(Singapore noodles) and the tofu with eggplant. Very good flavor that I came back again the next day! Im very happy they have a vegetarian option.

Extremely surprised at this place. Last time I was here I didn’t even want to review it. This time everything is faultless. For a food court fast food… The pad Thai is good, the spicy chicken and curry chicken is fresh. The tofu and eggplant is really good. Must be under new management. I came back to order more to go. And they accepted my american express. I’ll even dare to say that this is the best thai place in this area. Fast food triumphed? Must be the end of the world.

I just amazed there is Thai food in mall. It probably the cheapest Thai food I came across $ 7.50 for tofu, eggplant, rice noodle and a bottle of water. The food is decent for mall food standard.

They discontinued the curry chicken and rarely have the black pepper chicken on the menu. These are my favorite items. When I said something to the server she told me I should try new things. Why not just bring back the things I like?

The spicy Thai chicken is awesome. This is a great place at the mall to grab some spicy food. Nothing really crazy on the menu but if you like spicy food. Go here.

This is by no means an authentic Thai Food place, but that does not mean the food is bad. The food is pretty good and the service usually is too. I am never disappointed by the Wonton Noodle Soup and Thai Iced Tea. The only downside to this food place is Lala. I believe she might be one of the managers. She is usually rude and yelling at the other employees who I find very friendly and helpful. I understand that this is more of a fast food stop, but quick does not automatically equal curt.

This has to be the worst excuse for a Thai restaurant. The only thing they had on the menu that was remotely close was the Pad Thai. I’ve never known a Thai eatery to have«bourbon chicken». Pure mess. Staff ignored me when I asked where the Thai food was. Lol

Calling this place Thai is a sin. The noodles here are a mushy mess and they might be the best thing on the menu. Avoid at all costs!

In the Columbia Mall you can find tasty food at this Thai food-court restaurant. The normal«scoop and dish» food is ok, but the real finds are the fantastic SOUPS… chicken, beef and seafood with veggies and delicious rice noodles and broth. The portions are substantial. Piping hot and great for a cold winter day. Ive tried all the soups and all are terrific.
