This bus. This big, beautiful bus. You can find it most Saturdays hanging around the Soda City market. For eight US dollars you can get a BBQ that will ruin other foods for you. For eight US dollars, you get your usual plastic bowl filled with extraordinary mashed potatoes which are creamy and perfectly spiced(they are cajun after all) topped with smoky BBQ which is so delicious language hasn’t caught up yet. For eight US dollars, you can have enjoy an eating experience that will bring you to the brink of the English language and beyond. If you’re at the market early, you can order a breakfast bowl which is slightly cheaper. The breakfast bowl removes the mashed potatoes and replaces it with a biscuit. The biscuit leaves much to be desired, but again the BBQ. you get it. Another item I’ve savored outside of this bus were pork fritters. I haven’t seen them on the bus in a while(truancy) but I always check the board when I’m at the Soda City market to see if they’re available. Very delicious. Just go there and order one of everything and you’ll be a happy, happy person.

After walking past the BBQ Bus a handful of times I was drawn in by the BBQ Bowl. They are a popular food truck(bus) so there is usually a bit of a line but it’s worth the wait. The BBQ Bowl was pulled pork BBQ served over cajun mashed potatoes with a roll. Ummmm duh. Why would you not order that? I was just going to get a sandwich but I figured this would be less messy and I was with some peeps and didn’t want to look like a slob. The BBQ was on point! It was flavorful and well sauced without being drippy. The potatoes were also quite tasty and had a nice consistency but the BBQ Bus wasn’t not kidding around with the Cajuniness of these guys. Granted, I’m a bit of wuss when it comes to heat but these had my lips on fire. The roll was a soft, squishy, delicious piece of roll. The bowl was a lot of food for $ 8. I didn’t end up finishing the potatoes but was still full. I also got a sweet tea which was sweet but not too sweet. $ 10 for a pretty decent meal! Next time I’ll definitely get the sandwich — messes be darned! Those nachos looked pretty good too though. There’s always next, next time for that! Check them out next time you are at Soda City!

You can find these formerGamecock football players that are twins cooking Q at are breweries and at Soda City Market! If you can’t find this bus you need some damn glasses or some professional help because it’s a huge school bus cranking out BBQ fritters, sandwiches, tacos, and many other great items. Yeah for food trucks ! Yeah for food trucks in Columbia !
