My Son has an abscess in a wisdom tooth, we are new to the area (out of state). I was desperate to find a DDS fast, as he was in a lot of pain. I relied on Dr Hans reviews online to help me. If you are reading this you may be in the same boat.
We made an appointment with Adam Hahn DDS for my Sons tooth infection, and while there, I had my 8-​year-​old Daughters teeth cleaned (two birds one stone).
The «DDS» spent MAYBE 5 minutes with my Son he took x-​rays, and gave me a referral to have his wisdom teeth removed. Then they started in on me about my Daughter. (keep in mind she is 8)
They (he and his hygienist) told me about the extensive orthodontics my Daughter needed, that I needed to get started ASAP. They also told me that they could «fix» my Sons bite as well. (he already had Orthodontia treatment) But, Dr Hahn said it could ‘be better“
I asked the good «Dr» if he was an Orthodontist, and almost laughed out loud when he replied, «No, but I took special classes and stuff». Then, the hygienist LITERALLY took me into a room pulled out a cost sheet and proceeded to tell me about how «we need to get this going right away, so we can intervene before she gets too bad. If you don’t do this, she will need multiple teeth pulled. We’re trying to help your baby. Isn’t that nasty, you don’t want them to pull your babies teeth out do you? That’s just nasty…(she said „nasty“ at least 5 times)» my head spinning. oh, the ‘treatment’ for my Daughter will be «around”$ 500 (to start) and we can get her going right away (they said „right away“ more times than I could count), „now while she is young is the perfect time, things have changed, and we get started on intervention earlier so she won’t have to have teeth pulled, no one wants that for their child“.
I have had a family DDS since she had her first tooth, and he never said a word about her ‘terribly small teeth and misaligned jaw»
I thank God, my «spidey sence» was tingling, and I walked away.
After some thought, I sent a simple email to the office, to ask for the x-​rays I PAID FOR, (shocker both kids «needed» a full set of x-​rays) and the plan of care for both kids to be sent to my family DDS back home.

Thanks for bringing your family in to see us. We would be happy to send the radiographs back to Dr Nafso. I don’t think we are going to be a good match for you and your family. Please consider finding another dentist in the area. We can make recommendations for you if you would like.

I did get two things out of this „experience“ and email;
A good laugh, and I did get a referral to an amazing oral surgery group from Adam Hahn.
Melinda (Adam Hahns receptionist) was asked by oral surgeons office to forward my Sons x-​rays. (after all Dr Hahn said they would be happy to forward the xrays I PAID FOR) I sent several emails to the office, as the appointment was the same week (but in the same city). Melinda assured me that they were sent. The day of the appointment with the oral surgeon, I called no xrays. oral surgeons office reported that they had contacted Melinda (at Adam Hahns office) SEVERAL times, and she „accidently“ put them in the mail. To the wrong office.
I guess they also only have the capability to receive x-​rays electronically, they can’t send them. Huh. Oral surgeons office realized what was going on (as they too were getting the run around) and they provided us with ‘courtesy’ xrays so my Son could get the treatment he needs, to heal. HOWEVER, my Son had to experience unnecessary exposure to xray due to games played by Adam Hahn’s staff.
I do understand, there is an extremely high-​pressure in health care to increase sales due to the competitive market out there. These losers obviously need „sales“ to stay afloat, and they will do it by any means possible, its self-​preservation, even at the expense of CHILDREN.

Your tactics are an embarrassment to ethical medical providers. Asking for a second opinion is ROUTINE. Anyone who ‘doesn’t think that they are a good match» for a family after asking for a SECOND opinion, is no one you can trust.
Do not let the bible verses on the wall fool you.

The office staff could not be better. Tonya was always very pleasant, caring, and empathetic. Stephen always followed up to remind me of upcoming appointments and greeted me with a smile. Dr. Adam Hahn did everything he possibly could to ensure my smile was what I wanted and addressed issues he found. I am not an easy patient because I have severe anxiety visiting any dentist office and I am on a fixed budget but they were empathetic and kind. I referred my brother here and will definitely bring my son here.

Very good dentisry in Irmo. They couldn’t have been any nicer. Had a root canal and did a wonderful job. They were also very helpful with muscle problems dealing with migraines. Would definitely recommend.
