I rented a cyclocross bike from these guys on a recent trip to Columbia for a wedding. Was very impressed at the price of the rental for 3 days and the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately, when I actually rode the bike, it hadn’t been serviced in a while. The front dérailleur wouldn’t shift to the big chain ring, the tires were low pressure at 30 PSI (instead of 45 – 75) and the dérailleur cable was so frayed that it broke off at the pinch point. The guys at CycleExtreme helped me out with a free adjustment on the bike, but it was disappointing that there were problems like this on a rental bike. If you’re going to rent, definitely take the bike for a spin around the parking lot first!
EDIT: A few weeks after my experience and this review, I received a handwritten letter and an apology that the bike was not up to snuff from the shop. In addition, they provided a partial refund for the rental and an explanation that the bike hadn’t been properly accounted for from a previous return. While I’m still disappointed that the original rental wasn’t great, this kind of customer service is excellent, and it speaks to the quality of the shop. Thanks, guys, and next time I’m in town, I’ll give you another shot.

He had great knowledge of the bicycles he was working on. He was friendly and prompt, getting the work done efficiently and completely.

I love this place! If you are in need of running shoes, this is the place to get them. You can try on their shoes and run on the treadmill before you buy them. I love the idea of it because if you are a runner, you want good shoes that will last and support your feet! They are also on Facebook, and I love how they post when their big sales are!
