Waxing The City

I had my eyebrows done and the girl did a good job. She wasn’t very friendly but she was quick and did exactly what I asked.

The place looked great but, I did not like that they had to pull out couple of hair by tweezers. Plus I have been waxing for last 18 years now. This time at this place I was hurt really bad. Well I just wanted to get over with it! I did full back, full front. My thighs don’t look good at all! The lady was nice but she was too slow doing small portions of areas. Would not recommend if you are a first timer! Even though Unilocal deal is cheap and 50% off first customer on highest service.

I had my eyebrows done by Madison at Waxing the City today. She is amazing! I love love love my eyebrows! She took her time and asked what I wanted and shaped them beautifully. I’ll be going back on a regular basis.

My experience at Waxing The City was fabulous from start to finish! They were accommodating and polite while booking, informed and attentive while waxing, and really took the time to educate me about their process and after care. Love this place, will be back for sure! PS I got a Brazilian by Christy and she was fabulous– be sure to leave yourself extra time because they really take their time and care about the best experience and results here rather that a ‘wham, bam, thank you ma’am’ approach like some other places. In my opinion the extra time is worth it for the seriously smooth skin!

Happened to see this establishment while eating one night and read the great reviews and decided to give it a shot. You have the option to walk in, call in, or create an appointment online. They advertised the new clients get ½ service and on Unilocal there was a promotion for free eyebrow wax with any other service. They performed head to toe areas of waxing for men and women and even had some teenager services. The location is really nice near copper river grill and British bulldog eatery. The interior was tastefully decorated and incorporated the logo color orange. Nice display of products, sitting area, and front desk. The front desk clerk was extremely friendly. I was booked and seen on time. The room was clean and nicely decorated with the essentials. I got my eyebrows waxed by Madison. She was really nice. She examined my eyes, asked me what I wanted done and got to work. There wax was new to me. It hardens and is peeled off vs using strips to be pulled off, I loved this method. She was very thorough. After waxing, she would comb and cut or pluck any unwanted hairs. After she was done, she applied a balm. The results were really nice, no redness that I usually had, nor burning or irritation. Great job. She had good conversation too, we hit it off! Lol. The wax was a little bit warmer than I was use too but I didn’t get burned so no real complaint from me. I would definitely return if I still lived in the area. Prices were higher than normal places but for the attention received and the method used, I would say it was worth it. Price was listed as $ 21, I got the 50% new customer discount.

Nice atmosphere! Clean and upbeat! Wait time with appointment was like 3 mins sooo awesome! Samantha was great! Very friendly and worked hard to meet my needs! Will go back again! Wish it was closer to my home!!!

They’re nice enough but I feel the wax they use causes lots of breakage. Also, it takes about an hour for Brazillian waxing… that’s too much for such a sensitive area.

Rarely can you ever put the words relaxing and waxing in the same sentence but you can here at waxing the city! Very relaxing and hardly feel a thing!!! Perfection!
