Whit-Ash Furnishings

I just moved to Columbia from Connecticut with very little furniture. I’m on a grad student budget so I stopped by Whit Ash thinking there wouldn’t be anything in my price range. I was so wrong! First off, this place is HUGE– three floors of some of the most wonderful furniture pieces I’ve seen in the area. I believe it was Angie who gave me a tour of all three floors. Everyone who works there is so nice & so willing to help you find exactly what you need. I found the perfect dresser and the perfect coffee table there. The delivery was quick and smooth and I’m in love with my new furniture! I highly recommend Whit Ash!

We moved here from Florida just last June and Whit-​Ash sold us all of our furniture and has very reputable customer service. We received many discounts and they waived delivery. They are truly the nicest people. Our dog punctured a hole in the couch with his nail and I called and a lady named Jess took care of me. I emailed her some pictures of the couch and she is setting up someone to come look at it– hopefully tomorrow! Very prompt and being from Florida, it’s hard to find a local furniture store that makes you feel welcome. Furniture is quality and fair priced. We will be buying from them again.

Went in with my husband, 30 minutes before closing. We weren’t buying that day, just looking. We knew they would be busy and we’d have to rush. I was surprised that they had 3 floors FULL of gorgeous furniture! We somehow ran through it in 30 minutes, then started doing a quick sweep to make note of what we liked. We were surprised that no employee had talked to us – we were a bit worried it was maybe because we young (late 20s). Just then an employee asked if we were being helped. We told her no. She was very surprised! She saw us, but thought someone was helping us, and apologized that we had to go through the whole store by ourselves! It happens, I wasn’t bent out of shape about it, but I was glad to know it wasn’t because of our age. She encouraged us to take pictures of what we liked, even though it was past closing time. She was not rushing us! We still felt bad it was so late, took a few quick shots, then left. We’ll be back, even if it’s for something small!
