Love Amanos… Decent food(regular bar food menu), cheap beer, keno, and an awesome patio. My only complaint is that they never stay open as late as their hours say they should.

Had the lunch buffet. Great pizza. Good salad. Soup wasn’t too bad either. Nothing bad about this place.

This is a nice spot — I’ve only been in for lunch, for the pizza buffet. It’s always got a small crowd, and a soup on the counter. They have a good selection of taps. It’s good! It’s not the world’s best pizza(or the best in Columbus) but for cheap pizza and decent soup? They do it well! I haven’t popped in for a happy hour(yet) — but I’d like to one day after work. It’s got that kinda vibe to it.

We happened upon Amano’s on a Saturday night and from the outside it looked desolate. Inside however, it was filled with people– a range of groups, couples and families. Our waitress was efficient and no nonsense! We both ordered Guinness on tap and she returned immediately to report that the tap had just blown. Undecided, I asked for a summery cocktail — to which the waitress(name unknown, unfortunately) nodded and walked away. Moments later, she returned with our drinks– mine was perfect! When asked what my mystery summer delight was, she revealed that it was shaken lemon juice(tasted like fresh), citrus vodka and water! Our food arrived quickly and was just as good as my lemon shake-up. We ordered a large cheese pizza and large salad with house dressing. The pizza had thin, tasty crust and lots of cheese! The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. Our total bill was less than $ 40 for the food and 4 large, strong and delicious cocktail! This will, no doubt, be a place to which we will return!

One Friday night my friends and I tried to secure a table at Pies & Pints, which is just around the corner from Amano’s. We were told there would be about a 90 minute wait, so we decided to try out Amano’s, seeing that it was nearby. We walked in to a fairly typical, local, pizza joint. It felt very«towny,» if that makes sense. There were decent drinks on tap and in bottles, and a plentiful liquor collection behind the bar. The menu was, again, pretty typical bar food. Lots of fried things — pickles, cheese, wings… Pizza was good. We got a meat lovers pizza split with marinara on one side and oil on the other. My gluten intolerant friend didn’t have many options, so she got a grilled chicken salad. It was a good standby for a hungry group. And just as we were finishing, our buzzer went off for a table to be ready at Pies & Pints. We went to a movie instead. :)

Last Friday we had dinner here. I had the meatball sub and my guest had a burger. Both were good don’t upgrade the chips they come with they are made fresh and are great. The staff was friendly even if a little over worked that night. Décor is side looked a tad dive bar but clean. We ate on the patio and that was very nice even with the storms threatening to start back up. It’s on the back of the plaza so you have to look for it and there is construction eating up the close parking

Meh. Tons of tv’s and pretty dead, so it’d be a great place to watch a game or championship with friends. That’s probably about all I’d come back for, though. We’re not really drinkers and came here for dinner. I had some mini corn dogs and the turkey club sub which was served hot with chips made in-house. Food was good if you don’t mind salty bar food. Service was slow. 45 Minutes from order to table for sandwiches with no other diners in the place. One member of my party never got the side of mayo he requested(the server actually tried to talk him out of bringing him more by offering up mayo brought with the meals of other members of our party), and my tea was never refilled. Other tables buying alcohol seemed to be getting more attentive service from the same waitress, so if you’re buying shots maybe you will too, but I’d have thought our $ 40 tab would have warranted refills on our tea and water. Bathroom seemed clean and did not detract from the experience.

This is one of the 7 places we can walk to from our casa. :-) it is on the back of the dying Worthington Mall. They have a small outdoor patio. We had 5 blue Moons and walked out with tip @ $ 17.50. Great easy going place with loads of TVs. would be good spot for happy hour with some friends We hear the pizza is good but we haven’t eaten here.

Easy place that not too many people know about with good bar food(pizza, wings, sandwiches, etc). Great place to watch a game or meet a group of friends. And Monday night is Old School Beer night — PBR, HighLife and Natty Light are $ 1.
