This review is from an experience that I had before I knew what Unilocal was, but seeing as how Dr. Mulholland has so few reviews at this point and how good of an experience it was, I think it’s worth writing. As a way of setting up the story, I had a bike accident in my early teenage years that resulted in 2 of my front teeth being broken. Parts of those teeth had been fillings for years, and I’d needed a few root canals as those teeth, and another next to them, died, to prevent discoloration. One of the fillings got knocked out, and Dr. Mulholland was able to get me in the next day. She was able to provide me with a temporary filling, but we also started the process of making crowns for my front teeth, which would be a more permanent solution. She was able to identify, on the basis of a subtle exam finding, that I had an abscess next to one of my teeth(also adjacent to those that were broken way back when, but never got a root canal), and confirmed this via X-ray. It ended up being pretty extensive, so I actually had to go to a specialist for that. She provided me with some whitening products to help prepare for the crowns. They worked better than expected, my teeth looked really nice after 2 weeks of using the products. After whitening, she helped me pick out some really nice looking crowns, and made some good recommendations about the shape and texture that help them match my natural teeth. When the crowns were ready, she got them placed in a timely fashion, and they looked amazing. She got them in just the right place so they don’t quite touch the bottom teeth when I bite, and they look natural. I had never realized how little I had been smiling before that. I think there was something subconscious about my teeth prior to that moment that had kept me from smiling as much as I should have. It makes a big difference. She also got me a custom-fit mouth guard. It’s MUCH nicer than the boil-and-bite types, this one goes in and stays in. No biting down to keep it in place. So, to summarize, over the course of a few weeks and I think 3 appointments, I got a temporary filling, my abscess tooth discovered and taken care of, great whitening products, and 4 crowns that people look at every day and are completely unaware of(because they look that natural and that good), a high-quality mouth guard, and most of all, I got my smile back.

Relationships are very important to me. I have had a very long relationship with this dental office, even before Dr. Mulholland took over the practice from the prior dentist who retired. Many of the office staff are the original staff, all professional, dedicated and friendly. I’ve been quite pleased with the dental services provided by this team. Both Dr. Mulholland and Dr. Doyle have been very professional, high quality and a genuine concern for their patients. Most of my visits(thankfully) have been about the routine semi-annual cleaning and x-rays. They have been very proactive even when they found the hint of something appearing out of the ordinary. The office is located near downtown Columbus in the German Village area. Although quite a distance from where I live and work, I value the relationship. Parking is often times quite tight in the area. Conveniently, they offer a small, free parking lot directly behind their office building. It can hold up to 4 vehicles and be a little tight when backing out. Office hours may not be convenient for folks. They do not offer any evening or Saturday hours. Friday, they close by 1 p.m. Their last appointment of the day is 3 p.m. which usually means I now have to take off some time from work to make an appointment. This makes it inconvenient for customers and is why I only give 4 stars.
