When I go to a chain restaurant, I don’t expect a five-star meal and white-glove service. What I do expect: decent food, solid service, clean plates, no surprises, and if something goes wrong, employees that will make it right. The only good thing I can say about my family’s experience at Applebee’s tonight is that the food wasn’t terrible — but my dad could barely enjoy his because of the treatment we received from our server, Jason. Our first issue was minor compared to later problems — we didn’t receive plates and silverware until we were almost done with our appetizer, and then the plates were *dirty.* We would’ve asked for replacements, but we didn’t see our server again until we were done with the appetizer. After a very long wait, my sons received their burgers and fries. Our waiter said nothing about our other two entrees; we assumed they were coming out right away. Nearly ten minutes later, my entrée arrived and the waiter said my father’s would be coming. A few minutes later, the waiter came by with a glass of water for my son. I asked him where my father’s dinner was, and Jason immediately became defensive and began making excuses. He said he only had two hands and couldn’t carry multiple plates(which didn’t explain why he couldn’t bring the plate while carrying a single glass of water). He said that people who worked there didn’t help each other out. He showed us his arms(seriously!) and said he’s a big guy with big arms and can’t carry a lot of plates at once. I didn’t want him to carry a lot of plates. I just wanted my dad to be able to eat with the rest of us. After his long explanation, I honestly expected him to go straight to the kitchen and get my dad’s dinner. Instead, he went and took another family’s order. A few minutes later, he came back with my dad’s meal. One of my sons was already done eating at this point. My dad told the server, «I came here to enjoy a meal *with* my family.» The server apologized and then began making excuses again, then told my dad, «Cut me some slack.» What? When something goes wrong, apologize and try to make up for it. Don’t make excuses, and don’t tell the customer to cut you some slack. We had expected a manager would come by our table at some point, to ask us how our meal was — this is typical at every Applebee’s we’ve been to(including this one), but no manager ever appeared, and there didn’t appear to be one on the premises. The food isn’t terrible, but the service made it a miserable experience. We won’t be going to this Applebee’s again.

I was really impressed with our service, the drinks, and our meal. Ashley was our bartender and she was great. The drinks were great and service was prompt– she noticed right away when we needed another round. Our food was also a lot better than I remember it being last time we came to an Applebee’s. I ordered the Thai Shrimp Salad(less than 400 calories) and it was high on flavor! I was impressed. The peanut sauce on it was a big thumbs up.

My significant other and I frequently eat at the Applebee’s on Airport Thruway and in Phenix City and always have a good experience at both locations. We happened to be commuting past this location and stopped in because it was an exit closer than our usual. Won’t do that again. As we were being seated the bartender was yelling at the servers that she didn’t have any glasses. Server was kind of slow but she wasn’t bad, and once the food come out it wasn’t bad. But, my date ordered a cherry limeade that wasn’t out until we were well into eating our entrées and she ended up not touching it and the server still put it on the check. Decent food, nice environment as a usual Applebee’s, but the servers seemed overwhelmed and the bar was terrible with service.

Service: C+ Cost: D Taste: B– Ambience: B Everything in this place is so overpriced it makes my head spin. Average burger is $ 10 – 11. In fact, almost every menu item is more than $ 10. When the food comes out, take a hard look at it. It won’t take too long for you to realize that anyone could’ve made that same plate with some BBQ sauce and Sam’s Club fried chicken. My point is that the food is pretty mediocre and does not warrant the high prices. Add a drink(most are $ 3 – 4) and add tax/tip and you’ll easily pay about $ 30 for dinner for 2. Service is… Good but bad. I think most of the servers have good intentions, but they mess up orders so often. They brought us the wrong drink and the wrong plate. Then they tacked on an additional charge on our check, which we had to have them fix. Everything took a long time. When we asked for the check, it took a good 10 minutes. We asked them to fix a mistake on the check and it took another 10 minutes. It will be hard for someone to convince me to go back to an Applebee’s.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! Ordered a couple beers and after waiting at least 20 minutes for them we cancelled. The food took at least 55 minutes to come out and the plates were dirty. They were out of alot of drinks and beer as well. The couple sitting behind us left because it took forever to get their drink order as well and the first time they did get it, it was wrong. We will not be returning! I would say avoid this place. Worst service of any restaurant we have been to.

This place was disgusting! 1) The plates were fitly, I found piece of lemon in my drink that wasn’t mine.(I ordered sprite and we did not have lemon on the table at all. 2) We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it looked like liquid vomit. 3) After my waitress Megan switch my drink to the togo cups due to the dirty cup(see number 1), I found 2 bugs floating on my cup. I told that to this other waitress and the hostess, they were just kind of like, oh, well. Sorry, can’t really do anything. Um. thanks. Now my stomach is killing me and will never ever returned to this place again. I would like for the health inspection people to check this kitchen out.

Really disappointed. Met two friends here for drinks and apps. I ordered spinach dip with carrot sticks and celery. The veggies were pretty bad. The carrots had a white powdery coating on them. My friends ordered these Asian dumplings and they came out in one large clump. Our waitress was nice but not knowledgeable and several items we ordered were no longer available though clearly listed on the menu. I won’t be going back to this location.

Terrible: service. Food. And prices for bad food. The staff cannot work as a team and it seems somthing so simple as paying for the check gets complicated quickly.

Out of mint, so unable to order Mojito. Settled for pomegranate marguerite which was actually quite good. Ordered cheese sticks. Standard frozen that you can get anywhere cheese sticks. Would have been okay except for the strange aftertaste of the marinara sauce. Got our drinks and plates to go with the cheese sticks about 5 minutes after they were served to us. Ordered sirloin with Parmesan shrimp, garlic mash, and exchanged vegetables for stuffed Portabella mushroom. Also ordered Caesar salad. Yes, I know this is a chain, but each place is different even if they have the same menu. The steak was overly tough. I ordered medium rare. The garlic mash was cold by the time I got the butter I had ordered WITH it, but had to ask for again. The Parmesan shrimp on the steak were great. The best choice was exchanging the vegetables for the stuffed Portabella mushroom. It was amazing. I was actually pleasantly surprised. At the table, they had tablets for the customer place their order, but you cannot order alcohol from it. When we got tired of waiting for the waitress to show up, my husband started to attempt to order our appetizer from it, but she finally arrived before he sent it. This was a good thing as she stated that the kitchen would have kicked it to the back of the line. The convenient thing about the tablet was being able to pay at the table with a credit card rather than waiting around for the waitress to bring the bill and take your card off with her. Over all atmosphere was loud, under staffed, and slow with food coming out.

Food was excellent, but our waitress was one of the worst my wife and I have ever had. It took a long time for everything. We waited to place our order, waited to get our salad, waited to get our food and to top it off waited for at least 10 minutes after finishing our meal before we got the check. Oddly enough, when our food was eaten and the plates were stacked, she came by and asked, «are yall still doing alright?» Clearly our food was finished, but she was unobservant and oblivious. I’d come back, but would pray to get a different waitress. Food was amazing, do takeout if you can.

Applebee’s has always been one of my favorite places to eat; I went to the bar to just grab a quick lunch a a few drinks with some friends. My bartender Misty(I believe that was her name), did not greet us, ask us w hat we wanted to drink nor even the normal«hey, I’ll be with you guys shortly». It took about 10 mins for her to get or drink orders, food was cold and when I asked to fix it she huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes. Towards the end of our meal she was talking to customers about how she can’t wait to go home and how everyone has been tipping bad. I found it to be very unprofessional. I was so disappointed and upset about my experience I have refused to go back.

The bartenders are friendly and you can’t go wrong with the half priced appetizer menu. This location offers free wifi.

Yes it is an Applebee’s. The food and service is good. The later it gets the atmosphere changes more to a club/drinkers establishment. But with the lack of decent places to go it’s understandable.

I noticed this one of the few chains that the food is very consistent @ every location in every state. The location was near ft benning army base. SO they had great drink specials. Alot of well drinks for $ 2 — $ 3 bucks during happy hour or during the game.

Food and drink is great. I’ll give them that. But the atmosphere at times is not conducive to the family environment you would like to think exist at Applebee’s. There have been two occasions at this restaurant that rowdy consumers using profanity freely and loudly have interrupted my family’s outing. And speaking to management did nothing. I’d still visit, but not with my kids anytime soon. I do enjoy the live music they offer from time to time.
