Best root beer float I’ve ever had… Burger was a little small but that’s only a problem because I eat a lot :) Recommend the Duck Bacon… A+

Alright. I came here after hearing about how great it was and because I truly agree with their messages about meats and animals. However, I was disappointed. I am a burger and fries snob, so please take everything with a grain of salt. My burger was fine. I got the bison patty and I thought it was alright. Maybe it needed a little more seasoning and it came out medium-well when I had asked for medium, so there weren’t many juices left and it was a bit dry. I got it with the collard green wrap(really cool). I don’t recommend the collard greens but that’s to no fault but my own since I find them kind of tough to eat. Fries. Meh. I believe that a good fry can stand on its own. It doesn’t need to be smothered in condiments or salt for it to taste good. These fries were bland and generic. It reminded me of the over priced fries at stadiums. Will I go back? Probably. But in all honesty other than the friendly service, good message, and cool location, I don’t feel particularly obliged to return. I would rather go to Five Guys and spend less money for a better meal.

If you’ve never been, its a burger joint… but gluten free, vegitarians, and vegans, are welcome! They have menu options, but you can also build your own burger and they offer things like rice buns. I really liked the variety, but we did find ourselves having to ask what a lot of the items were. They also had drunken milkshakes and a few frozen drinks that looked great but we didnt try any of them. We finished the mealcwith an icecream sandwhich ans it was pretty underwhelming and difficult to eat. The cookie itself is frozen so just a little challenging in a small ceramic dish. We sat at the bar on a not so busy afternoon so we were treated well! Overall I can see myself returning because its a fun concept for a meal out before a game or something. The décor is also trendy and its a fun atmosphere.

I love it here. My favorite waiter is Alex! He’s amazing!!! The food is phenomenal. The vast array of burgers/meat selections are second to none. Happy hour drinks are affordable and the fries are out of this world. The special sauce for the fries is so good I could drink it. Put this on your list of Columbus spots to try.

We walked into this place from the street, looking for a late lunch, and were very favorably impressed. Their specialty is burgers, and in particular you can get all kinds of unusual burgers– I did the elk(I’ve never had elk before) and Mary the wild boar.(They also make a point of their burgers being sourced from meat that is organic, grass fed, no hormones, etc.) They also have a choice of toppings and condiments that’s equally wide ranging; we both ended up with the burger wrapped in kale, instead of on a bun, and various sauces and toppings. The stand-out side, however, was the crispy brussel sprouts: these were great(look for it listed under«to share» on the other side of the menu, with«to share» indicating a large serving). Waiter was friendly and willing to take time to explain the various options. Also loved the whimsical art on the walls.

I’ve heard a lot of hype about this place and for me unfortunately things did not work out. We arrived at 8PM on a Saturday with a party of 3 and it was a full house. Since we were given a reasonable estimated 20 minute wait, we decided to give this place a try. The décor of the restaurant is very«hipster» and trendy; you’d definitely fit in if you had a nose ring, a beard, and wore a flannel. Of course per the name«Bareburger» there were a lot of bear decorations; they get an A+ on that. As for the other aspects of the restaurant however, their performance was severely lacking. Strike 1: The 20 minute wait stretched out to an hour wait. I noticed that their staff in general was extremely disorganized. Even their hostess had to bus for the them and even then, they were falling behind. During the 1 hour duration, about 5 other parties came and left when they were told it was now a 40 minute wait. In my opinion, that is very bad business. In essence, they are putting a cap on the amount that they could make that night. I attribute their inefficiency to the rate at which food came out of the kitchen. Many parties who were already seated upon our arrival did not receive their food until about 30 minutes in. Strike 2: When we were finally seated 1 hour later, it took about 15 minutes for them to even take our order. Despite my waving my arms around, no one saw me. While we waited, our waitress hastily dropped off some water and said she’d be right back. However, she did not come back. By then, I was in hangry mode and ended up waving down another waiter from a different section and had him take our order. We ordered 3 burgers along with 3 sides of sweet potato fries. Strike 3(You’re out!): The food arrived approximately 30 minutes after we ordered and they were all cooked inconsistently. My boyfriend’s elk burger was SUPERWELLDONE even though he asked for medium. Unwilling to wait another 30 minutes for them to redo the burger, he just ate it(we were STARVING; by then it was close to 9:40PM). Although my bison burger was cooked well, it was bland. Aside from the sauce, there was no seasoning on the patty. As for the fries, they were cooked in 3 different variations. My boyfriend’s sweet fries were underdone, while my other friend’s sweet fries were overdone. Luckily for me, mine were just right; it was the only one that was cooked well and SEASONED. Not sure if it was an intentional Goldilocks and the three bears moment? I am not amused. Overall, this place is pretty hip and trendy if you’re into that sort of stuff. However in my opinion the food is MEH, their staff is disorganized, and it was just not a good experience for me. I think the only time our waitress came around was when we were eating. I felt annoyed because I think it was a half assed attempt to earn tip. If you weren’t around to take my order, piss off. +1 star for the hostess being a team player +1 star for décor –1 star for food –1 star efficiency –1 star for the rest of the staff I will not be back.

Let me start by saying the location of this place is outstanding! Right by he convention center and my work. I came in here for a late lunch, around 1:45 by myself and sat at the bar.(Sue me, I was done with work and wanted a beer)! The bartender was so friendly, which is rare anymore. Someone stopped by to pick up a carry out order which was ready like 2 minutes before they arrived. I ordered the fire quicker burger which had duck. I also got a side of Brussel slaw. Both outstanding! There are like 3 other burgers I want to try, I will be back for sure! A rare 5 star for them!

:cracks knuckles: I’ve been remiss in my activity. Let’s fix that. I’ve been wanting to try their fare for some time, and finally got occasion this day. We started off with the buffalo chicken bites, with buttermilk breading and a blue cheese/ranch dipping sauce. The breading was superb, and the chicken fantastic. The better half had the Hudson salad, baby spinach with duck bacon(sooo good), avocado and grape tomatoes. Tried it, and it was great; the avocados fresh and fantastic, and again, that duck bacon… I got the Grindhouse, an elk burger with manchego cheese(a mild white), farmhouse bacon(thick-cut), and added pickles and tomatoes. Again, great. My mistake, the server told us the burgers were cooked medium unless otherwise specified; I prefer a med rare, but forgot to specify. Still turned out very juicy, shaded towards med rare, and the flavor of the burger was beyond reproach. Very lean. They give you a nice glass pitcher of cold fresh water, though the glasses could be bigger it was nice. Server was very attentive and informative, seating was booths and nice. Really liked the atmosphere, loved the food, will be back. Don’t be surprised by the prices; it’s not cheap, but it is very, very good. Close comparison to Flipside, but downtown and shaded towards farm fed and organic.

In town for a conference and found this place a short walk from the hotel. Went for dinner. The place has a lot of character, with its unique lighting fixtures, rustic décor, and creative menu. I ordered the wild boar burger(called wiki-wiki) on the menu, a side of cole slaw, and a side of spicy pickles. The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu, the exotic items(elk burger, bison, etc.). Extra points for the cool serving containers(mason jars) for the sides. The wild board burger with duck bacon was delicious. The cole slaw was made from red cabbage and just alright. The Pickles were very spicy and tasty. An unexpected bonus was the natural ketchup on the table. I grabbed some sweet potato fries from and friend and really enjoyed the strong tomato based flavor.

The bareburger franchise has yet to disappoint, It’s more than I want to pay, however I just can’t help myself from telling everyone to try it. It’s worth paying more for the quality. Before I get to the food, I want to say how great the service was. Our waitress was a sweetheart. Very friendly and welcoming. Very pleasant personality. I can’t remember her name but she was great. The décor was great. I love the rustic look. The little utensil chandelier hanging above our huge booth was so cool. It’s a big space and a bar to the right as soon as you walk in. The food, as expected, was amazing. Everything always taste so fresh and healthy. I love when I can eat a burger and not feel like I’m eating a greasy ball of meat. I don’t remember which burgers we ordered. We didn’t create our own burgers this time. I ordered off the menu might’ve been wild boar, but either way it was delicious. Take advantage of the variety of meat. The fries are great, as well as the sauce choices.

Organic burger goodness delivered!!! I wanted to try a new place that delivered in the area where I work and bareburger fit the bill so gave them a try. Their delivery is done through chownow so I ordered up and it took about an hour to arrive once the order was placed. I went with the buckaroo beef burger along with onion rings and fries. The onion rings were great, not too salty, tasty breading. The fries were also well done. Seasoned well, not overdone or underdone. The burger was medium which they say is their standard temperature unless you request otherwise. I usually do medium-well but did not mind medium at all. The toppings all worked well together, but they bacon was elastic and didn’t separate clean when I took bites. Still a worthwhile burger, I will definitely try again for less common meat offering.

Today I went to this burger joint and loved it! I went with two other people and they both really enjoyed what they got to. This place can be a bit expensive but the burgers are great! I got the duck burger and loved it! My friend got the customize burger with bison and duck bacon and also only had good things to say. My sister got the brisket burger and she enjoyed it too. It can be a little bit expensive but if you are willing to pay the $$$ it is worth it!

I had dinner at the bar tonight. Bottom line was the burger was great. A real flavor explosion of wild boar meat, country bacon, blue cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and curry ginger ketchup. The burger ran about $ 13 and was definitely worth it. My side of cole slaw was a steep $ 3.85 and was definitely the weak link — it was bland and flavorless. I threw in the towel after a few bites. I selected a Jackie O’s dark beer that was very good. The menu is very ambitious — you can build your own burger from a dizzying selection of meats, cheeses, buns, vegetables, sauces and relishes, or you can choose one of 14 pre-selected varieties. They also offer a lot of salads, sandwiches and fries. Seriously, there is something for everyone here. This was my first visit to a Bareburger, and according to the website they are all over — with some locations in NY, FL, CT, NJ, and even Tokyo and Frankfurt. This is a solid burger restaurant where you can enjoy a solid burger and a nice beer. If that’s how you end your day, its a pretty good way to end it.

After a long wait of nearly a year since my first visit, I finally returned to Bareburger. My first visit didn’t leave me with any strong desire to return. It wasn’t bad, but it was just average for me if not a bit overpriced in comparison with my enjoyment of the burger. Well, I’d heard they’d made some changes, so I decided to give it another shot. Our server was very nice(and a bit out of it), but he did a pretty good job of keeping tabs on us. The menu definitely looked different from my first visit, but it still presented an overwhelming amount of meat options. I wish I could get them on a tray and sample each one. The girlfriend and I ended up splitting the pickle fried chicken, and the Grindhouse burger, which is elk with manchego, country bacon, piquante relish, and paprika mayo. The fried chicken was overflowing the bun and was absolutely delicious. I really just wanted this sandwich to myself, because the horseradish remoulade was so tasty with the chicken. I was more excited for the Grindhouse burger, since all of the ingredients sounded so good, but I think the elk was a bit of a let down. It was lean, which isn’t a problem, but also super dry. The flavors were there with the other toppings, but if I were to get it again, I’d probably swap out for a different protein. I think all restaurants deserve second chances over time, and Bareburger really impressed me in this past meal. I hope they continue with dishing out consistently tasty sandwiches, especially now that Stack City has moved in up the street and is direct competition. While not exactly the same concept, a lot of people are just looking for a good burger in the Short North, organic or not. In my opinion, there should be room enough for the both of them, and I’m hoping some friendly competition leads to some creative and delicious burgers.

You know how you do some research before heading on a weekend trip to find a great place to eat while you are out of town, that’s exactly what I did for this place. I did a quick Unilocal search for places close to my hotel, offered some great bar food, and was quirky to visit. Bareburger fit that bill. I loved how the inside was decorated, it gives you that rustic feel that makes you forget the hustle and bustle just outside the door. From the distressed wood to the culinary industrial lighting(is that a thing? Culinary industrial??) made this place look different, but in a good way. The staff were warm and welcoming, gave us our space when we needed it, but knew exactly when to come by when we were ready to order or if we needed anything else. I especially liked how smoothly the ordering went. When we did order we started with an appetizer of a mix of french fries and sweet fries. These come with two dipping sauces; special sauce and curry ginger ketchup. When I inquired into what the special sauce consisted of I was told it was a mixture of mayo, ketchup and mustard. Pretty tasty if you ask me. Then there was the curry ginger ketchup, I would say it is hard to describe what it tasted like, but I think this will sum it up for you: the curry ginger ketchup tasted like a flavor packet that belongs in ramen noodles. It was odd, but something kept me dipping. As for my main course I opted for the Supreme with a side of dill pickles. The burger was more than a meal by itself. Beef burger topped with Colby cheese, fries, green leaf lettuce, country bacon, special sauce on a brioche bun. You think that’s it? Nope, top all of that with some onion rings. I was half tempted to put some of my pickles on the sandwich, but I refrained. I’m glad I refrained, those pickles were damn near amazing. Fresh and crispy, the amount of dill wasn’t overpowering at all. I must of looked greedy while sitting there with all that food in front of me. What made me look greedier was the fact that I downed all of it. Call me greedy then, I’ll own up to that.

Overall, this place was pretty legit. It was packed on a Saturday night, and they got us a seated in 10 minutes. The staffing seems odd with everyone doing everything though. Seemed kind of inefficient. Whatever though. Prices are very fair for what you’re getting. I had the elk burger. It was insane good. She had the bison burger, and it was pretty solid too. Fries had great flavor, little soft though. Makes sense on a super busy night. Fryers can’t keep up. Love that they have house made ketchup and that the salt on the table is smoked salt, in a freakin grinder. Way dope. It’s the little things. Décor was awesome. Looks super nice inside. Bar/beer/wine options, pretty good. Service was friendly and very«to the point«which I’m fine with. I come from a restaurant and hospitality background. I get it. It’s busy as hell. No worries. I’ll be back for sure.

This place has something really neat going on! All of the food here is naturally raised and organic. I really love going to places where I actually know what I am eating. So on top of their organic and pasture raised meat they tell you the calorie count on pretty much everything! This is pretty cool, I felt like I could go out and order something and know exactly how much I am eating. Of course we went with the healthiest options on the menu… if an Elk burger and fried chicken sammy are healthy? :) It took us a really long time to order, mostly because everything on the menu was looking super tasty. They have a ton of salads and you can add any meat you would like to them — or not if you want to go straight veggies. So, then there’s sandwiches, which all looked amazing, and finally on the back are the burgers. There are a bunch of specialty burgers and also the option to create your own. I loved the variety of ingredients you can throw on pretty much whatever meat you can think of, I mean, they had ostrich for pete’s sake! We decided to split the Pickle Fried Chicken sammy and the Grindhouse burger. The chicken sammy was my favorite of the two but I think that was mostly because the Grindhouse is an Elk burger and I don’t think I am a big Elk fan. The chicken was fried really nicely and I loved the horseradish remoulade. It was really different and was such a good flavor to go along with all those pickles! Oh, I also got a side of their Dill Pickles and I ate the whole jar. they were that good haha. I will definitely be back here and can’t wait to try the salads! They look really good and are nice option for those trying to watch the calories! Also, if you are feeling lazy. they deliver :)

Checked this place out for a late lunch. The place was pretty much empty when we showed up, and there wasn’t even a hostess to seat us. We waited about 10 min before anyone came to seat us. Not off to a good start. For food I ordered the Grindhouse burger with a side of their fries. The burger was supposed to be cooked medium but came out well done and over cooked. The sauce, toppings, and bun on the burger were all really good, but the meat ruined the burger for me. The fries were pretty good tho and the ketchup they have was tasty. Overall I’d give the food a 1.5÷2 out of 5. The service really did not help this place out. Even though we were one of two tables in the restaurant, it took them over 10 minutes for a waitress to come by for us to ask for our check. Overall, this place was definitely a disappointment after reading the reviews. Needless to say I won’t be back.

Bareburger is a wholesome burger joint with loads of creativity sprinkled in. The menu is rather large with unique, and even gourmet ingredients. I opted for a standard American burger: beef, cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce, mayo, ketchup and mustard. The bun — OMG the bun. One of the best I have ever had. Puffy, with sesame seeds but grilled with butter to create a delicious singed edge all the way around the burg. Steady enough to hold up to the juice that emerges from this delicious pile of goodness. To those burger connoisseur’s out there, this is a greasy burg(in a good way) The atmosphere is neat with lots of rustic touches. For being right next to the convention center it is rather small and I hear there is usually a wait. We had around a 30 minutes wait, and grabbed a coffee at the bar. The bar is also unusually small. If you are craving a good juicy burg, this is your place.
