We called because we had a pressure valve that needed replacing. The plumber came and told me that the pressure valve was ok because the pressure on the outside faucet was fine. He installed the air bubble contraption on top of the water heater for 650 Dollars only to find out that our pipes were still singing. When he opted to open up our walls I called my husband. After a chat with the plumber the pressure valve got replaced for an additional 600 dollars and we were told he gave us a good price because of the experienting he had to do to figure out what was wrong. While here the plumber told me that our water heater is old and he could replace it cheaper because he was already here for another $ 1200 which of course I declined since we had no problems with the heater. The next day we had no warm water, he conveniently forgot to turn the breaker back on. Coming to find out a few weeks later, we could have had the pressure valve exchanged for $ 100. We just got a water heater replaced on Monday, a year after Benjamin Franklin was here and it cost with installation and taxes and heater less than $ 800. So believe me Benjamin Franklin will never have our business again or anybody else’s if I can help it.
