I love the jewelry in this store. It’s one of a kind and reasonably priced. Her inventory is constantly changing. This is the place I go to for unique, high quality jewelry, both for myself and as gifts.

Having strolled through Better Earth admiring their outstanding collection of vintage and natural jewelry for years, I recently took some family pieces in to see if anything could be done to make them wearable. Owner Ms Wearstler enthusiastically examined each one and made fantastic suggestions for updating brooches into pendants, making clip earrings into pierced, etc. I could not be more pleased with how they turned out. The quality work is beautiful and was done for an extremely fair rate. And Ms Wearstler’s delightful passion made the entire experience a joy.

Stopped in here today looking for cone incense to help me sleep. Found one called«Black Opium,» is supposed to help induce fantasies and dreams. So I hope it works, I am an insomniac. I am glad if I get 4 good hours of sleep a night. I also got a nice white crystal. I like collecting rocks and crystals. The lady in the shop was very nice. I liked her. This little eclectic shop is located in the North Market. Three stars cause it only had 2 kinds of cone incense, and it was a bit dusty. I am a little picky when it comes to places that sell food also.

This place has a wide of array products. mostly jewelry. I went there looking for a gift for someone that is a bit of an earth mama, so the beaded necklaces were appropriate. At the same time I purchased a pair of pearl earrings with a sterling silver frame for only $ 22 bucks, not bad for the quality fo the pieces. They also sell single beads that range from $ 4 to $ 50 depending on the stone, gem, or complexity. Most of these appeared to be semi-precious. This is also a good place for jewelry repairs as the prices are reasonable since this is something they just do on the side. I saw a sign about classes but when I inquired the owner mentioned that they aren’t really offering any right now and no current plans for the future. I don’t blame them judging by their skills and quality stock of beads they just might put themselves out of business if they sell away their secrets.

I’m not into beaded jewelry. Something about it just seems hokey to me. But, if that’s your bag, try Better Earth Beyond Beads. I won’t judge you. Beyond Beads is an extension of Better Earth eco-products, both in the North Market. Beyond Beads is in the northwest corner of the market(across from Spice Bar). It’s a big spot with quite a bit to look at. The space features jewelry by a handful of local artists. They use beads and semi-precious stones. They have every jewelry piece you can think of: rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and the occasional phone charm. Some of the pieces are gaudy with lots of big, colorful beads; others are small and have very simple designs. And, of course, there are other stops along the spectrum as well. The jewelry ranges in price, exemplified by the fact that some of the pieces are merely hung on wire racks whereas others are tucked away under glass cases. This might be a good place to shop for unique gifts.

This is a great little shop in the North Market. It’s like strolling through a miniature grocery store — a grocery with a conscious. They’ve got it all: –Health and beauty products –Food –Greeting cards –Pottery –More predictable natural market fare like vitamins and supplements. –Various gifts(often seasonal) Check this place out.

Better Earth is a good spot for the Burt’s Beeswax/NPR set. Thus, it’s a good fit for the North Market. I stop and browse at Better Earth pretty regularly. Although the overall theme is a little unfocused… the natural candles are next to a huge Ohio State Buckeyes display(but what shopkeeper can resist the influx of rich parents?)…the stock is worth a browse.
